I thought I’d finally met the man of my dreams… MarloweI’ve planned this night for weeks, down to the last detail. I want it to be perfect. Bringing someone new into my private life is not something I do lightly, having learned the hard way over the years that celebrity has a dark downside that I go out of my way to avoid whenever possible. But he is different. We’ve been together for months … possible.
But he is different. We’ve been together for months and the time is right to take this next step with him.
It doesn’t take long for me to realize I’ve made a huge mistake trusting this man.
Before things go from bad to worse, I have the presence of mind to know I’m in big, big trouble.
Marlowe Sloane’s story, FAMOUS, is the thrilling conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Quantum Series.

4.5 stars–FAMOUS is the eighth ( and final? ) instalment in Marie Force’s contemporary, adult QUANTUM erotic, BDSM, romance series focusing on the men and women who own and work for the Hollywood production company Quantum. This is academy award winning actress Marlowe Sloane’s story line. FAMOUS can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty but I recommend reading the series in order for backstory, history and cohesion.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from several first person perspectives including Marlowe Sloane FAMOUS follows the last single member of the Quantum family as she endeavors to find love; to bring someone into the lifestyle of which she has desired. As a Domme/switch in Quantum’s dungeon, Marlowe has had her choice of submissives but her most recent introduction to Quantum leaves Marlowe struggling to survive. Rescued by a member of the Quantum family, Marlowe soon discovers her attraction to a man to whom she thought of as a friend. Hidden from the press, and the people in charge, Marlowe and her rescuer succumb to their passion and attraction but not before issues of self-esteem threaten to destroy their burgeoning relationship.
FAMOUS is a story of betrayal, power and control; a story of family, friendship, survival and love. Marie Force pulls the reader into a powerful story of domestic violence, endurance and the #metoo movement in the face of Hollywood’s controlling elite. Hidden behind the big mansions and fancy clothes lies a secret that is about to be exposed. The premise is raw and forceful; the characters are strong and sensitive-the author brings together the Quantum family as they circle the proverbial wagons to protect one of their own; the $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense; the romance is seductive and passionate. FAMOUS is a dramatic, provocative and timely conclusion to Marie Force’s wonderful QUANTUM series.
4.5 stars
I have a small confession to make…. as a long time a Marie Force reader I wasn’t sure how I felt when she launched the Quantum series. Now, 8 books later, I am so glad we got to know this group of people. The 4.5 star rating is a much for the series as it is Famous because while this is technically a stand alone, I think a reader would be doing themselves a disservice to not read the series in order.
Well written, Ms Force weaves current day headlines (the #metoo movement) and important social issues (domestic violence) into Marlow’s story. Shining a light on these issues, even in a fictional setting, hopefully brings hope to others struggling.
This is very much Marlow’s story. The focus is on her desire to have the type of relationships her friends/co workers have found, the missteps along the way, and a potential happy ending. We see just how strong Marlow is as she faces a challenge and learns to lean of the people closest to get through it.
My one complaint (that seems really strong) was the shifting away from the key main characters POVs to that of several secondary characters for several chapters in a row. It captured needed information and made sure the gang was all spoken for, but the presentation seemed a pick awkward. This is totally personal preference, so please don’t let this one thing dissuade a reader.
Overall, I loved the book and series.
Famous proves that sensuality does not mean heartless. Force tackles risque romance with an emotion that goes far deeper than some tamer love stories. Marlowe is the last one standing when it comes to finding her heart’s desire. Her road to happiness is littered with an almost brutal honest that lacks the standard rainbows, but provides some meaty twists. A stunning conclusion to a breathtaking series.
5 Star Review of Famous (Quantum #8) by Marie Force
Have you ever anticipated a book so much, but when it hit your device you didn’t want to start it? That was my predicament when Famous arrived. I have been waiting for Marlowe Sloane’s book ever since she was introduced and knowing that this is the last book in the Quantum series it really was bittersweet.
I was riveted from the first chapter to the last and read it in almost one sitting as I simply couldn’t put it down. Marlowe’s story is a friends to lovers one and I think you will be in for a surprise when you read who the hero is. To me it was an awesome pairing and jut right for Marlowe.
Anyone who has read the previous books knows that Marlowe is a part owner of the BDSM club Quantum with her friends. It is here that things go so terribly wrong for Marlowe.
After being rescued by a dear friend, Marlowe is whisked away from prying eyes to recover and it is there that things start to heat up. After all he has been in love with Marlowe for a very long time and it is now that Marlowe begins to see what has been right in front of her.
There is a great deal of drama, angst, emotion, heat and spice in Famous and as I have come to expect from a Marie Force book, it was extremely well written.
The chemistry between them is scorching and intense and Famous was everything I hoped for and so much more.
