I thought I’d finally met the man of my dreams… MarloweI’ve planned this night for weeks, down to the last detail. I want it to be perfect. Bringing someone new into my private life is not something I do lightly, having learned the hard way over the years that celebrity has a dark downside that I go out of my way to avoid whenever possible. But he is different. We’ve been together for months … possible.
But he is different. We’ve been together for months and the time is right to take this next step with him.
It doesn’t take long for me to realize I’ve made a huge mistake trusting this man.
Before things go from bad to worse, I have the presence of mind to know I’m in big, big trouble.
Marlowe Sloane’s story, FAMOUS, is the thrilling conclusion to the New York Times bestselling Quantum Series.
more
Quantum…. This is the absolute best series ever and I hate to see it come to an end. These characters and their journey to HEA were never easy. These books, Famous included, also provided us with laughs, lust, love and angst, but in the end these amazing characters found their happily ever after.
Marlowe is such a badass and I hate to see what she had to go through with Rafe. She wants what her best friends have, so she overlooks things that she normally wouldn’t. Sebastian is full of hatred and rage when he finds Marlowe and the shape that she is in. As Marlowe spends time with Sebastian, away from the spotlight, the feelings that have stayed hidden for so long start to surface BUT what will Seb do when someone from his past comes back for him?
Love Famous and Joyous and will definitely revisit these books and characters, because they are some of my favorites.
Thank You, Marie Force, for writing the Quantum series for us fans!
For a final book in a series, Marie Force hit it out of the park! It was fantastic diving again into the magical world of Quantum. In the past, as I read the other books, I laughed, cried and rejoiced in the HEA of the other partners. Now, in this one, we get to read about Marlowe’s love story. I was thrilled to see who is her love interest but was sworn to secrecy, so you will have to read the book to find out.
Marlowe is the best friend, the best actress, the best person around. As she herself says, being famous is her job, not who she is. When she arrived in Hollywood and lost her mother, Flynn took her in and became a mentor to her. He brought her into his family where they became her family too. When Hayden, Jasper, Kristian and Emmet join the company, they become like brothers to her. Then as they each fell in love and acquired a girlfriend/wife, these women became her friends. This Quantum group is like a family, the best kind there is because they are brothers and sisters of the heart.
As all the Quantum partners found their HEA, Marlowe rejoiced for them but also envied them. She also wanted that someone who completes you, the one you want to go to bed with all your nights and wake up with all your mornings. She was looking for love in all the wrong places and it didn’t bore well.
When something dramatic happens at the beginning of the book, the troop rallies around Marlowe and form a protection circle around her. Steps are taken for her security and action is taken to ensure the person responsible is destroyed, not physically but professionally and financially. In the midst of the crisis, Marlowe finds her love where she least expects it and now has to convince her love that she is his and he is hers.
There is some suspense in the book, but it’s mostly about love growing, love developing, a couple finding their groove, the whole Quantum group enjoying their closeness and their soon to be born babies, and the support and love they give each other. Falling in love with a movie star as talented as famous as Marlowe is nerve-racking for everyone and it’s easy to feel unworthy and not enough. It’s Marlowe job to convince her love that all she wants is her man, his love and his forever.
This book was charming, enchanting, a bit cheesy at times but beautifully so, and so full of family love, friends love, support and giving and generosity that I loved even the kinky parts that are not my favorite thing. Everything in this book was sublime and it was a fantastic end to this series. There’s an additional epilogue that adds even more loving and heart-warm feelings to the story.
Outstanding conclusion to a fantastic series! This spectacular author saved the best for last with the supreme Domme Marlowe’s story. I love the terrific heroines she always gives us. Smart, strong, beautiful, complex and resilient. Marlowe’s always been a boss bitch as the only woman in the Quantum group with all those hot hunks. We see what she’s really made of when a horrible event befalls her and how she deals with it. The fabulous Sebastian is there for her with his secret crush and determination to keep her safe and his vow of revenge for the wrong done to Marlowe. Seb is so swoon worthy! All the Quantum guys and their beautiful women are in the story and they’re such a wonderfully supportive family especially when the unflappable Marlowe has a few moments of vulnerability. There are a few tense moments when the guys learn what’s really going on and Seb’s role in Marlowe’s subterfuge but above all they’re a family. This is another marvelous series that superbly written with divine characters and storylines full of romance, intrigue, danger, off-the-charts sexiness and wonderful family and friends. So good! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
The minute Marlowe walked onto the page 8 books ago I was really curious about where Marie Force was taking her character. I started Quantum a few books in, so I knew that eventually all the main players were supposed to get a book of their own, but Mo was the only female in a group of strong, hardheaded men, and she always held her own.
Then all the core Quantum guys got their books, and throughout we saw Hayden’s bestie from growing up, Sebastian. Seb was larger than life, in more ways than one, and while not a hot Hollywood property, he was a part of the group, they chose him to run their BDSM club, they all included him in everything even if he never felt like he should be there.
This couple could not get put together any earlier in the series, if they had the impact would’ve been lessened, but it was definitely worth every minute of the wait. The chemistry is intense, and the sex is even more so.
There may be triggers for abuse victims in this story but the story is about so much more than that.
Marlowe finds true love with Sebastian. Sebastian lets go of his self doubt and accepts her love. Together they look forward to a lifetime of happiness.
My only regret about reading Marlowe and Sebastian’s story is that it finishes the Quantum Series.
Famous is Marie Force’s finale to her Quantum series. I was very much looking forward to Marlowe’s story and couldn’t wait to see who she’d get with her HEA.
Famous is packed with all the emotions a series finale should provide. I loved the match and couldn’t wait to see how they would come together, how their relationship would develop.
Now I’m ready to reread and revisit the Quantum family.
A solid ending to a great series!
Marlowe’s story was so much fun to read! The beginning was absolutely heartbreaking–OMG, reading about what happened to her made me hurt–but watching her rise above it, own it, and find her own HEA was just wonderful. It was all I could do not to stand up and cheer when she had her press conference toward the end, and by the time we got to the epilogue? I have no words 🙂
For fans of the series, you’ll love seeing all of the other characters here–toward the end, we even see sections of the story from POVs other than the hero and heroine of this book, which was a lot of fun. Other series characters also get even closer to forever HEAs than they had been previously 🙂
If you haven’t read the other books (or just not all of them, like me) this could work as a standalone, since Marlowe and her hero’s only relationship earlier in the series is one of friendship. It’s still one heck of a story read on its own, but if you’ve read the others you’ll love seeing how the other characters end up at the end. (TBH, if you haven’t read the other books before reading this one, your TBR pile will probably grow by 7…)
Rating: 4 stars / A-
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Marlowe and Sebastian’s story is more than just a romance. There is a message for anyone who may be in the same type of relationship as Marlowe was during the beginning of the book. Their story is more of a friends to lovers type of story. It was great seeing them fall in love with a few bumps along the way. We have read about both of them in previous books, but we didn’t know their deep backstory. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.
What an extraordinary and fitting end to a fantastic series that has always been a favorite of mine. While this is Marlowe and Sebastian’s story there is the stellar supporting cast of the entire Quantum family. It takes a horrendous act for Seb and Marlowe to finally see and feel the love that’s been right in front of them for years. Seb becomes her staunchest supporter and strongest advocate as Marlowe proves to the world, yet again, what a bada$$ superstar she really is.
I really will miss this series but I know there will be binge reads in my future. Marie Force has proven herself a cut above it comes to fabulous storytelling. I look forward to indulging in her creative output whenever the chance arises.
It feels like we have been waiting for Marlowe’s story forever, but let me tell you it was worth the wait. Marie Forces surprised me with matching Marlowe up with none other than Sebastian who we have gotten to know thorough-out the series as the best friend of Hayden and the “gate-keeper” of the club. I didn’t see this coming for sure but it was perfect.
I’m sorry to see this series end, but it is one that I will be re-visiting.
I love this series and Marlowe and Sebastian’s story is so sweet and sexy that you will absolutely love it too.
She thought she’d met the man of her dreams. She was very wrong. Turns out the man of her dreams is someone else entirely, and he’s been waiting for her figure that out. “A stunning conclusion to a breathtaking series.” —Isha Coleman.
Just like the other Quantum novels, Famous is full of excitement, turmoil, love, and laughter. I feel like I’m in the book and these are my friends. I laugh when they laugh and cry when they cry… I REALLY want vengeance when one is hurt. LOL. I love being on this emotional roller coaster and am always sad when the book ends just because I don’t want to leave their lives.
While I’m so sad to see these characters go, Marie did an amazing job of bringing the series to a close. I rarely think a book or a series ends well enough but this one was thoughtful happy endings and exactly what you want for your book friends. I love the follow up with the other characters in the gang so we get to say goodbye to all the Quantum crew.
What a satisfying finale for a great series! Marlowe proved to be the baddest of asses in a group full of strong and resilient characters. We didn’t know a lot about Sebastian from the earlier books but the moment he stepped into the limelight in Chapter 2, you knew he’d be the perfect partner for Marlowe. They complement each other and understand who they are and what they are.
Marie Force truly knows how to reel you in with strong, relatable, charming, funny, sexy characters. Add in an interesting and enjoyable storyline and you have the perfect formula for a great book. This is what Marie brought to us with Marlowe ever since the first book, and with the Quantum series as a whole. Slightly different from her previous books but certainly still recognizable as hers.
Thank you Marie for bringing us Flynn, Nat, Hayden, Addie, Jasper, Ellie, Kris, Aileen, Emmett, Leah, Sebastian, and Marlowe, and a host of memorable supporting characters and objects! The series may have ended but it has become one that I will remember forever and will go back to again and again!
OMFG!!
Famous is simply spellbinding perfect!!!!
With the twist turns, sexy heat level, dialogue, and the pacing were just so spot on. It just had this marvelous pull to the storyline that had me utterly beguiled.
To the point, I had to re-read it again!
Seriously, I have read every single book in this series.
But Marlow’s book just blew me away, 10 over!
Yet it just closed the series beautifully.
To say Marie you have outdone your self is a complete understatement
The end is finally here! She thought she’d met the man of her dreams. She was very wrong. Turns out the man of her dreams is someone else entirely, and he’s been waiting for her figure that out. “A stunning conclusion to a breathtaking series.” —Isha Coleman.
FAMOUS is live! This final installment concludes the New York Times bestselling Quantum Series. “She thought she’d met the man of her dreams. She was very wrong. Turns out the man of her dreams is someone else entirely, and he’s been waiting for her figure that out.” <--- sounds sooo good, right?!
The final book in the series is about Marlowe Sloane, one of the main principals of Quantum. We have waited a long time to get Marlowe’s story and Ms. Force did not disappoint. We all have hope that Ms. Force will somehow in the future continue the series or at least give us updates via novellas or short stories of what is happening with everyone in the Quantum family.
Marlowe thinks she has found someone to love and have a possible future together. She sees all her friends falling in love, getting married, and starting families and realizes that she wants the same thing. Marlowe decides introduced her partner to her BDSM lifestyle since they have been together for a few months, even though her Quantum family really doesn’t like this person but is supportive of her, but things don’t go as plan. It was a big disaster and Marlowe is hurt. The least likely person comes to her rescue and as they spend time together, they realize that they are attracted to each other. Marlowe wants to take the chance but the other person doesn’t feel worthy of her. When his past comes back to haunt him in a big way, he tries to leave everyone behind so that his family and friends will be safe from his past. This doesn’t go as plan and when Marlowe ends up being in danger, he steps up and fights for her. Marlowe and her friend are meant to be together and what the other person sees as not being good enough for Marlowe, Marlowe sees it differently and tells him that he is worthy as an individual and a perfect man for her.
I have read this series from the beginning and fell in love with all the characters. It is such a thrill to read each book as it comes out and I am sad that this is the last book even though I love Marlowe’s story. And it was great to catch up on what has been happening to all the other couples from the past stories. I love the Quantum family!
Famous is the perfect ending to Marie Force’s brilliant Quantum Series. I fell in love with this series from the start and love how Marie is able to tell a complete story one book, but intricately weave multiple storylines across the entire series that hook into my heart and never let go. Though this is the eighth book in the series, I seriously never wanted it to end. I felt each and every emotion as I devoured this book. I have to admit, I fell in love with the world she created in this series and I am truly sad to see it end. But since it had to end, I’d say Marie made it perfect.
The characters are all unique, compassionate and will do anything for those they love. Marlowe’s story is no different. Not wanting to give anything away this is the perfect way to end on a high note. Marlowe met her perfect match and I loved this story from start to finish. Marie still found a way to be tell a beautiful story, packed with a powerful message and stay true to her characters.
It is bitter sweet to be writing this review – as I seriously don’t want to say goodbye to this world. This is the type of series that can be reread and enjoyed each and every time.
I can’t wait to see what Marie has in store for us next.
How do you goodbye to your friends not knowing if you will ever see them again? Marie Force knows how! Marlowe finds her HEA with a person who has watched and loved her from afar. Never let it be said that the members of Quantum see anyone for anything less than they are, regardless of who they are or what their past may of been.
I will miss everyone of these characters, but will visit with them often in my imagination. Thank you Marie!
