A macabre poem scrawled in blood. A girl with a secret. And a ruthless killer who’ll stop at nothing to find her. “Thrilling, emotional, and depraved, with twists and turns you don’t see coming.” ~Kristen Mae, bestselling author of Red Water“Fearless, smart writing and a plot that will stick with you.” ~Beth Teliho, award-winning author of Order of SevenSTARVATION TAKES MANY FORMSAsh Park, a … Order of Seven
STARVATION TAKES MANY FORMS
Ash Park, a run-down suburb of Detroit, might not be the most idyllic place to live, but for Hannah Montgomery, it’s safe. At least, it feels that way until a serial killer starts dicing up women from the shelter where she volunteers.
Hannah manages to convince herself the killings have nothing to do with her brutal past—but then her boyfriend is murdered in the same ruthless manner as the others. And the police think she may have had something to do with it.
The cops are right about one thing: Hannah is responsible. Because she knows who the killer is. Now she must face the fact that she brought a monster with her to Ash Park—and his appetite for blood is insatiable.
Everyone’s hungry for something.
Some are more famished than others.
Dark, gritty, and raw, Famished is an emotional roller coaster and an electrifying debut from bestselling author Meghan O’Flynn. If you like Chelsea Cain, James Patterson, or Caroline Kepnes, you’ll LOVE Famished, the first book in the Ash Park series.

Terrifying underbelly of humanity
I couldn’t get into the characters so I stopped reading it. everyone is dysfunctional with so many issues. It was almost depressing to me.
I thought the story line was very contrived… and the characters only thinly developed. I had to force myself to finish it.
Loved it. Can’t put it down
Too many characters as the book began, lost track of the plot.
Good read.
Great story, great characters. Ending leaves you wanting more.
Could not even get into the 2nd chapter. Not my type of book.
Not at all what I expected. The plot moves and twists. Just when you think you’ve got it….Zing!
very good
Predictable
As the victims pile onto Detective Petrosky’s desk, he can’t shake the feeling that everything is connected to Hannah Montgomery, a frightened girl that he can’t help but compare to his dead daughter. But the truth about everything is more complicated that it seems. A gripping story. I received a free copy of this book from AXP books and I voluntarily reviewed it.
Famished revolves around Hannah and a serial killer. The story line was interesting. I had hard time following the book at times. I do like books with more than one point of view, but I felt these jumped from one to the other without it being clear at time who’s was who.
Famished by Meghan O’Flynn is a book that you will not be able to put down. The plot is fast-paced and thrilling, drawing the reader deeper into the story. The twists and turns carry on long after the reader thinks that the mystery is solved. The story easy to read in one sitting. This is a tale rich in mystery.
Hard to review this book as I could not make it past page 6. I have a strong stomach, but in the first 6 pages, it did me in, way to descriptive.
I don’t remember very much about it, so apparently it didn’t make a big impression on me. I don’t remember disliking it, either, so giving it 3 stars. As a “free deal”, I won’t complain.
The book started with promise, but the plot was rather bizarre.
I continued to read, hoping the book would improve, but it did not.
When Hannah’s womanizing boss invites her to live with him, it was just so totally implausible that I had to stop reading the book.
Not my type of books.
I did not like this book. It was not a book that I couldn’t put down, and I definitely did not like the ending.
After a 170 pgs I was ready to call it quits but it got a little more interesting the last half so I stuck it out mostly because I hate not finishing a book. It did have a couple of interesting twists in the end however it wasn’t enough to make me want to read more of the novels. The characters were poorly developed especially the lead detective. You never really got to understand why the killer had his particular ritual which made his methods seem designed for shock value rather than trying to understand where his compulsion comes from. Have read thousands of these types of books and was quite disappointed with the development of this book. Storyline could of been turned into something compelling with more work on characters.
