A macabre poem scrawled in blood. A girl with a secret. And a ruthless killer who’ll stop at nothing to find her. “Thrilling, emotional, and depraved, with twists and turns you don’t see coming.” ~Kristen Mae, bestselling author of Red Water“Fearless, smart writing and a plot that will stick with you.” ~Beth Teliho, award-winning author of Order of SevenSTARVATION TAKES MANY FORMSAsh Park, a … Order of Seven
STARVATION TAKES MANY FORMS
Ash Park, a run-down suburb of Detroit, might not be the most idyllic place to live, but for Hannah Montgomery, it’s safe. At least, it feels that way until a serial killer starts dicing up women from the shelter where she volunteers.
Hannah manages to convince herself the killings have nothing to do with her brutal past—but then her boyfriend is murdered in the same ruthless manner as the others. And the police think she may have had something to do with it.
The cops are right about one thing: Hannah is responsible. Because she knows who the killer is. Now she must face the fact that she brought a monster with her to Ash Park—and his appetite for blood is insatiable.
Everyone’s hungry for something.
Some are more famished than others.
Dark, gritty, and raw, Famished is an emotional roller coaster and an electrifying debut from bestselling author Meghan O’Flynn. If you like Chelsea Cain, James Patterson, or Caroline Kepnes, you’ll LOVE Famished, the first book in the Ash Park series.

Hannah Montgomery feels safe in Ash Park. Yes it is run down, but to Hannah is is just what she needs…..that is until the killings begin. Women at the shelter that Hannah volunteers at is getting killed in brutal, terrible ways. Hannah believes it has nothing to do with her past, until her boyfriend is also killed. The police think she had something to do with it, but did she? Hannah does know who the killer is, but she is keeping that fact to herself that because of her the killer is now in Ash Park. Not for the faint of heart.
I liked the book.
The characters in this book were tragic in nature; wounded by life. But, the author was able to hold one’s attention throughout the book and it wasn’t until the very end that I was able to figure out who the “bad guy” was so to speak. There were so many wounded characters in this book that you began to feel somewhat sorry for everyone. There are enough twists and turns to keep even the most avid mystery ready occupied. The initial subject matter carnal knowledge of a child by a parent, was difficult. But you could quickly see that this activity drove the heroine throughout the book, culminating in a surprising ending. This is a tragic commentary on relationships, trust and love.
Not bad at at all. Good plot and character development
Fabulous thriller storyline.
Quick, terse style, moves right along. It’s worth getting to know the characters.
Could not put it down. Great book.
I thought I figured out the killer but kept reading because it was fast paced and interesting. Then the ending was a complete surprise and I really hadn’t known who the killer was!
There were Lots of twist and turns throughout this book. I thought it was a little long winded but by the end I wanted to know more.
Great
A suspenseful page turner read which keeps you wonderng who is next
Could not put it down.
Kept my interest.
The killer seeking the girl hiding a secret and the poem in blood? Provides twists and turns you do not expect emotional, and thrilling. I will say no more….READ IT.
I liked it !
Enjoyed reading this book. I will be sure to read the next one.
I loved the book and kept reading. I completed the book in two sittings and I was pleased with the pace of the story, its characters and most pleased with Hannah. I’m left with wanting to read on to find out what happens to her!!
Loved it!! Kept me guessing until the shocking reveal at the end…my jaw dropped.
That was intense and scary! The killings were horrific, but you kept reading to see if any hints were given of the killer. I like this author’s boldness, there’s a raw edge to her work that’s stunning. I’m looking forward to book 2.
Another awesome read! Stayed up way past my bedtime! Thank you bookbub!
