Loved it ,as all of the rest of the flannegan and Bailey ,family books.Couldnt put it down!
I read the whole Baxter Family trilogy. I think there were 24 of them. Loved that series.
It’s been several years since I’ve read it. But is was one of the Baxter family books and I’ve read all of them and would even read them again. I would recommend them to anyone who enjoys Karen Kingsbury’s writing. It’s been too long since I’ve read them to give an accurate review, except they are exceptional reading…
I love Karen Kingsbury’s books, but if you’re looking for HEA, this isn’t it. She writes about reality and HEA isn’t always reality. Still this was an interesting book with great Christian values and how we must listen to God.
Read these Baxter Family books in order.
I love the book. The book is very inspirational and touching.
Very good book.
An absolutely great book! I love the Baxter series & have read every book that ties to the series. I recommend all of Karen Kingsbury books. She hooks you from the first page!
I wanted to love this book but found it difficult to follow after thoroughly enjoying the first series of Baxter Family books. I may have just been distracted (you know…life gets crazy) but I didn’t love it. I didn’t hate it but I just didn’t love it.
I got this book at public library several years ago. I have read everything she has written except the most recent ones. She is an excellent writer of Christian fiction especially books about the Baxter family. Love to read her books, and hate when they end. She writes books that make you feel as if you know the characters in the stories.
Loved the characters and the story.
Boring
This is one of Karen Kingsbury’s “First Born” series about the Baxter family. I have loved every book of hers so far. I share them with my church friends after I finish. I recommend her books to all my friends.
I loved this book, the characters were very believable. The only thing is the ending makes you feel like you have to read the next book because it wasn’t how I wanted it to end.
Karen Kingsbury’s books are always a delight. This first in a series introduces heartthrob actor Dwayne Matthews and a chance encounter with small town actress Katy. Their worlds, lifestyles, and values are worlds apart. There’s no way their infatuation can develop, or is there. The book also renews the story of the Baxter family, still reeling from the loss of matriarch, Elizabeth.
This book was hard to put down, and immediately sent me searching for the next book in the series, and the next. So inspirational.
This was a wonderful book to read. The plot made it hard to put down. It was part romance, part adventure and part mystery all rolled into one. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
After reading this book, I was hooked and had to buy and read the rest of the books in this series to discover what happened to the characters. Her character development is very good and as a reader, I found myself really caring about what happened to them, which is why I purchased 8 more books in the series! This is a Christ, faith-centered book that also appealed to me.
Loved the whole series of the Baxters
If you haven’t read the preceding books in the Baxter series some of these characters may lack understanding. It is an excellent addition to the story lines of others in the series. It’s hard to read them all in order, so I already knew the eventual outcome of this book. Love reading them all and eagerly await further offerings in this line!
I like that this book had some romance and an interesting plot line but it was still clean. It was a bit predictable, but very sweet and enjoyable to read. Love always bringing Bible following characters too.
