This book was ok but the author tends to talk too much about how the characters purse their lips… I thought the parts about Amish culture were interesting but wasn’t crazy about the authors style.
Interesting location, Montreal, interesting occupation, freelance ghost writer, but the plot is contrived.
Relaxing read for a down day.
great story the kept me reading — like the characters
I read it in two days! Very enjoyable book foe someone who likes crime mysteries.
was a great read. I couldn’t put it down. ending wasn’t what I expected, but in a good way!
I enjoyed this book, I couldn’t put it down
While the author has a tendency to get wordy when it’s not really necessary, overall this was one of the more entertaining and enjoyable reads I’ve had in a long time.
The main characters seemed to have developed personalities which complemented the secondary characters quite nicely.
My personal ‘grind’ with a lot of the publications I’ve read lately is that the author gets too carried away with ‘elongated descriptions of wearing apparel.’ Don’t know why … is that the trend during the second decade of the 21st century.
But the author plays out the script quite nicely … hits us with the shock treatment early, plays the game of “who’s the suspect today’ quite nicely, added in some secondary plots to keep us going, and finally, serves up a really unexpected conclusion … everything any reader wants in a murder mystery.
I liked it … I’m sure you will too.
A great mystery read with so much suspense which was difficult to put down as the story and characters were intriquing
