Chancy Hamilton can’t bear the thought of spending the holidays without her late husband Max who died in a plane crash. When Chancy and her teenage son, Travis, have an argument, Travis storms out of the house and ends up in the wrong part of town where he is attacked by a group of thugs. When a homeless man comes to his rescue, he invites the man home to have a meal with his mom and little … sister. Gabe Jones is not like any other homeless man Chancy has ever seen—he’s confident, intelligent, and devastatingly handsome. Jake, Chancy’s boyfriend, takes an instant dislike to Gabe and warns Chancy to stay away from him. Nevertheless, their lives become intertwined, and Chancy is soon thrown into nightmarish events caused by a chilling deception where nothing is as it seems, bringing a terrifying aftermath that threatens not only her but the lives of her children.

I really enjoyed this mystery romance that covers so much ground. The writing is wondrous, the characters unusually good and the plot brilliantly meandering.
I received a copy of this book through a generous Bookfunnel giveaway of “Christian Mysteries.” I have read some of Jennifer Youngblood’s Navy Seal, football and small town romances and have been thoroughly entertained by all. This is the first book I’ve read with co-author Poole, but will not be the last.
Be ready for a rollercoaster ride in this captivating audiobook.
Chancy Hamilton lost her husband a year ago. She has started dating a man named Jake, but her son Travis is not happy. When Travis has an argument with his mom, he storms and ends up in a dangerous area. Thankfully, a “homeless” man saves him.
Gabe Jones is that man . As Gabe helps the family, questions about his past emerge. Can Chancy trust him? Is Jake right that Gabe is up to no good?
The action was non-stop filled with suspense, whodunit, lies of omission and many surprises. Who can be trusted?
This is an audiobook worth your time , one that will keep you on the edge of your seat and one you will remember for a long time.
Good reading
This is so many stories in one book. They tackle coping with death and grief, budding romance, greedy crooks, and one very psychotic stalker. It literally has something for everyone, and is a very good and enjoyable experience.
I love this book is clean, page turner, the plot is great, the mystery is great, the suspense is great, the message of love family and charity is great. This story grab my attention from the beginning. Jennifer Youngblood and Sandra Poole did an excelente job with this story
This book was part of the Christmas Romance Collection box set. It was such a great read! It kept you in your toes, wondering what else was going to happen and how all the pieces fit together. Well written!
It was a little different from the many Christian novels. There was some action and mystery.
Good story starting out giving someone a helping hand. Son brings home a stranger and the plot moves forward. Suspense, romance and just flat out enjoyable read.
I fidn’t Put it down until I finished it. It was a really good book!
False Identity is the perfect blend of heartbreak, forgiveness and second chances.
Not everything is as it seems and not everyone is who they say.
Youngblood is a new to me author and I’m so pleased to have stumbled upon her. The story had all the mystery and intrigue I crave in a romantic suspense novel and I absolutely loved this family of characters.
Interesting
I wanted to like this book and read over half of it but it moved to slow for me; taking too long to get to the point.
A good read. Interesting characters but not sappy. Clean language. I’m really tired of authors throwing in filthy language and using God and Jesus as curse words (even if people do talk like that, I don’t like to read it. Enjoyed the story.
Very entertaining and kept me guessing. Great read.
Great development of characters. Couldn’t put it down.
The book was too predictable. I didn’t really believe that theain character would start dating that soon after her husband’s death. She is also too trusting of the other male character in the story. I would have thought that she would be more leary. I couldn’t finish it.
This is a new author for me and I found this book very good. I added the author to my must read list. The plot keeps you guessing … had lots of surprises
Page turner!
Loved it!!
I really liked this book as it combined not only the romantic part but also had a bit of mystery and suspense within it as well. It was an easy read and well written. I would read other books by this author based on this book. Also, I appreciated the fact that although it had romance in it, it was clean which I appreciate.
