Levine’s Jake Lassiter is a fun and enjoyable character. It’s a really good thriller series,
great read, hard tp put down once started
Anything by Levine is terrific. Characters are fun and the dialogue is always top notch.
Paul Lavine is always a good read.
Jake Lassiter series is usually outstanding, “False Dawn” left a little to be desired.
Assuming artistic license, Levine took the plot too many directions for my taste. Overall, would recommend the book to Lassiter fans.
Funny but not as funny as his other works
I love this series of books. The author puts you right into the action and the main character is very interesting. This is the second book I’ve read in the series, and intend to read as many of them as there are. Some books, you just don’t want them to end because the author has done a great job of creating a world you would want to live in. Highly recommended!
I enjoyed most of the book, debated between 3 and 4 stars, but it was bogged down with too many irrelevant details. I found the constant wise-cracking distracted me from the plot development and character relationships. The story is set mostly in Miami which made it familiar and real for me. Interesting display of relationships among the super-powers and Cuba.
Have read all the Jake Lassiter books, and love them.
I have read a number of books in the series and find them enjoyable. The main character does his own thing to find the answers which always have a few twists.
Ok but too much repeating of facts
Overly descriptive, and annoying. I have only ever quit reading two books, this is one of them… couldnt get past the third chapter.
I like the main character and his moral dilemma as a lawyer. The writing is snappy, the dialogue is fun and the story is interesting. What’s not to like about an ex-NFLer turned lawyer?! A word of warning: it can be a bit violent in places!
One of my favorite authors!!! This one wasn’t quite as good as some of the other Jake Lassiter novels, but enjoyed it nonetheless!
Jake Lassiter is a very relatable character. I enjoy the way he pokes fun at himself. Very entertaining. Fun read.
great read – love Lassister
I really like the main character (Jake Lassiter) in this book. This character is down to earth and has a sense of humor which I like. The book is well written and will keep you turning the pages to see where it’s going to end up. I would like to read more in this series.
First book I have read by this author, I was disappointed I couldn’t find any others at the Library. I enjoyed the witty dialog and characters, plus good storyline.
Another great book in this series!
Levine made a fan of me with this book!
