This the 4th book of this series I have read. I love the characters and the small town. I first got the three book set and now ordered the 4th. Very much recommended.
Fun read
I read the5 book Aderondack mystery series in about three weeks. It really kept my attention. The main character was like a best friend I never met. It kept me guessing and had enough twists to make it very difficult to predict what was going to happen next.
Love that the story took place in the Adirondack’s. The small town characters were portrayed realistically.
Well written. Good mystery.
Starts slow but picks up momentum throughout!
I liked it.
A quirky little mystery in a small town. Entertaining.
Would like to see more from this author.
This book kept my attention . I couldn’t put it down.
Good strong characters and a viable plot of small town police and community.
easy mystery read.
Enjoyed it very much, ordered 2 more by this author!!
Great read. Liked the rookie cop
If you like cozy small town mysteries, pick this one up. I have read the others in the series and they are excellent in taking you to this small area in the Adirondacks.
Small towns can be sweet but also a bit too small and set in its ways…even with a murder. Frank has been dealing with crime on a small budget for years now, even training his deputy. And Frank has learned that people here protect their own…even if he is a murderer.
Frank has remarried and still has close friends that have taken in Olivia, her mom went to jail and isn’t expected out for years.
But Olivia’s mom, Anita, is out and wants her daughter back. Between dealing with his friends trying to keep Olivia, Frank is dealing with a man in town that has gone bankrupt, held children hostage, and is now hiding out with the help of perhaps townspeople.
You see the lakes, the cabins, the struggling businesses as tourist come and go, and the politics.
The case of Olivia, the man on the run, some vitamin bottles all eventually interconnect. It didn’t blend quite as well as “The Bait” but it does hold up. You don’t have to read them in order, another plus. Just sit back and enjoy the lake, the fishing and the murder.
Pretty good plot development.
I like the main character and the location of the stories. Always unpredictable and good suspense.
So good that I went back and read all the books preceding this one in the series in less than two weeks!
This is a change from all the easy reading books set in Virginia, Texas, and the rest of the west. But it is easy reading and not too deep.
Well written. Stayed up late to read.
Loved this book. It took a while for it to get exciting but when it did it moved right along. Loved it!
enjoyed the read
