This is the first book I’ve read by either of these authors and I really liked their writing. This book has wonderful characters, romance, and of course dogs. Emily is a dog rescuer that runs Pawsitively Rescue, her nonprofit. Aiden returns to Birdsong, after seventeen years, and moves in with his Aunt Beth He’s been fired from his New York newspaper job, so takes a part-time position with the Birdsong Voice. Emily and Aiden meet when he has do an article on her for the fall festival. If you enjoy small town stories with romance, the you will love this book. No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens. I absolutely loved Maple, just sayin’.

Falling in Puppy Love somehow manages the perfect balance of emotional and delightful. Aiden and Emily face issues that aren’t always cute and cuddly, but for me that is what makes them endearing. They dare to be human and that is something easily relatable.

This was a wonderful tale of a disgraced reporter, Aiden Hughes, from New York coming to Birdsong to stay with his aunt. He gets a couple of assignments from the local paper. He goes to interview a local resident that operates a non-profit animal (basically dogs) rescue, Emily McLane. In the process of helping Emily with her dogs by setting up a website and taking photos of some of the animals, these two really grow closer together. Emily knows that Aiden is just in town until another big-town paper hires him despite the previous scandal. But in the mean time, through his help, Emily’s non-profit really starts to gain ground. Emily decides to tell Aiden of her feelings so he can make a better more informed decision on rather stay in Birdsong or leave for the big city.
I loved the fact that this book was in a dual POV format. It really helps me to fully understand the character, especially if the scene goes in a different direction than I anticipated.
This is a clean romance with no scenes that would probably offend anyone.
A beautifully uplifting story about choices in life and whether the path you had been on was the right one after all. I really liked the characters of Aiden and Emily very much and how sometimes getting back to your roots can open your eyes to a whole new way of life and a love you never expected!

This is Falling in Puppy Love by Sarah Fischer and it’s a great book that I loved. Aiden and Emily went well together, it’s a fast paced well written light witty feel good story of two people falling in love. It’s a very sweet romance book that I completely fell in love with reading and I can’t wait to read more.

4.5 Stars
I’ve never read a book by these authors and I’m so glad I came across this book. It sounded great and didn’t disappoint. I love reading books about small-town romances because the characters are so kind-hearted and give you a warm feeling. This was a perfect book for a chilly fall day to read. I loved the descriptions of fall and how the authors incorporated the fall weather into the pictures of the dogs. The dogs were adorable, and it was wonderful seeing Aiden’s opinion on dogs change over time as Maple won a place in his heart. I really enjoyed seeing Aiden’s view of small towns change over time. I feel in love with Emily’s character when she says
“.. The city wants to use you for all you have. The small towns want to lift you up and show you just how much potential you have.”
The book was well written, fast-paced, and easy to read. Once I started reading, I couldn’t put the book down until I finished it. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to future books.

This is one of those romance stories where you’ll fall in love with the characters and everything else about the book. The story line flows smoothly through the pages and pulls you in. The characters are amazing, easy to love and feel like family when you finish the book. Plus you can’t help but love a good romance when our 4 legged furry friends are part of the story line.

I love a Romance where I can actually see one of the main characters change to the point that by the ending of the story they are far different than when I first met them. That holds true for Aiden, and a bit for Emily as well in ‘Falling in Puppy Love‘.
Aiden has returned to Birdsong, Pennsylvania (which I loved since I live in PA) after being fired from his position as a reporter at a New York City newspaper. The reasons were unfair, but the details I’ll leave for you to discover. Now he’s at the point of discovering where he goes from here, and his options aren’t numerous. For now, he’s writing for the small local paper on events leading up to and within the upcoming Festival. These assignments are going to change his world, his mindset, and perhaps point him in a new direction for his future. After all, Aiden never expected to fall in love.
Emily is devoted to animals, both domestic and wild. She’s looking to expand her small business of rescuing and finding forever homes for the dogs she comes to love. She’s a hard-working woman, holding down several small jobs in order to get her non-profit business off the ground – but her heart is in saving the animals who come into her life, for them, she will do just about anything.
As Emily and Aiden work together for the articles about her rescue work, where during the Festival Emily hopes to gather enough donations to move her rescue up to the next level, they’ll discover that it’s not only the adorable dogs or cute puppies that they’re falling in love with. When the time comes that Aiden has to make a choice to stay or go back to his world he will find that he’s not the same person who returned to Birdsong… and perhaps his priorities aren’t the same either.
Watching this couple fall in love was a delightful experience, yet what I enjoyed the most was seeing Aiden grow, change his mind on what is truly important in life, and give his heart a chance to guide him not his brain. If you enjoy a sweet romance with adorable animals, a couple that is meant to be, and a small-town that you’ll never want to leave then ‘Falling in Puppy Love‘ is a perfect match for you. I didn’t want to flip that last page on my Kindle, and I’m betting you’ll enjoy yourself in Birdsong, Pennsylvania, and not want to leave either.
I received an e-ARC of this novel from Tule Publishing. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Emily’s dream is to expand her dog rescue and find more dogs good homes. Aiden is a reporter and he wants to land a prestigious job in the city. While he works temporarily in Birdsong, he learns to expand his abilities in both reporting and photography. But will he stay?
I loved the dogs in the book, especially Maple. This was a sweet love story, which I enjoyed. However, it wasn’t realistic in many ways. I couldn’t believe Emily had enough donations to have covered the transformation of her grandparents’ place, and I had difficulty believing she could take her really big dog on an airplane easily.

Solid 4.5 star
Nothing beats a story about two people not looking for love meeting and their hearts taking over and this totally happens for Aiden and Emily. Emily lives and breaths her job and wants it succeed not for her but for all the dogs she could help, while Aiden is laying low while he decides what his next steps are after his last story blew up in his face through no fault of his own and finds Emily’s passion and his work in a low key paper making him rethink what he wants. But you are chewing you lip wondering if Aiden will really want to leave all the high stress big time stories and life behind to see ho happy he could be with Emily, thankfully there are plenty of laughs, awkward moments, self doubt, sweet times and adorable dogs to keep you entertained along the way!

Aiden is forced to make a detour when his life as a political reporter crashes and burns. But the saying that some things happen for a reason is true when he discovers joy in taking pictures and writing human interest stories like Emily’s dog rescue and her motley crew of fosters. I love those type of stories the best and wish there were more of them in the news. I loved Maple, the handicapped chihuahua who races around on wheels. She was so joyful when she has so many reasons not to be. All of Emily’s dogs were special and I loved how Aiden featured them and all the wonderful things he wrote about the rescue, the dogs, and a special letter in particular he posts near the end of the book. But Aiden gets an offer to be a political reporter again and he has to decide if that’s still his dream. He does play with Emily’s emotions kissing her and acting like a boyfriend when he’s not sure if he’s going to stay in Birdsong. The dogs really stole the show in this sweet fall romance.
Aiden Hughes has returned to his aunt’s house in Birdsong, Pennsylvania because he was fired from the Newspaper he worked at as an investigative journalist in New York City. He told the truth but now no one will hire him. He is now doing features for the Birdsong Voice editor. He is ready to get back to the city. That is until he meets Emily McLane when he interviewed her with her pack of dogs. I enjoyed how sweet the two of them were and Emily’s love for all animals, especially dogs. Of course Maple was my favorite out of the pack, lol. When the truth came out about the scandal, seems a lot of newspapers wanted him, even Chicago. Now that he has had the taste of city life and small town life, which would he choose, knowing if he chose city, he would be giving up Emily. I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
Falling in Puppy Love is a cute story with endearing characters and adorable dogs by Sarah Fischer and Kelsey McKnight. A change in life plans and a goal to help come together in this story. It is an easy to follow story that you can lose yourself in as you read.
Aiden Hughes has a major life change that he did not see coming. He is a character that grows in this story the most. Meeting Emily McLane facilitates this in so many ways. Emily is a caring compassionate character that is a pleasure to get to know in this book. Together they make a great team for work and for life.
Fans of heartwarming feel good stories with dogs will enjoy this romance. Well told with a delightful conclusion it is a sit by the pool or on the beach or even sitting in your own backyard kind of read.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the story of Emily and Aiden. He’s back in his hometown to regroup after a scandal at his NYC newspaper. Emily runs a dog rescue facility but wants to expand. So she is holding a festival to get donations and Aiden offers to help her advertise the event. Can these two find a way to have it all or will their dreams take them in different directions? I enjoyed this sweet romance. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a sweet romance about thinking that you want something but actually needing something else entirely
Aiden Hughes was fired from his job as a reported at his New York newspaper and he has come home to Birdsong to lick his wounds and gather himself so he can assault the world of journalism again He offers to help Emily McLane a young woman who runs a dog rescue to get publicity so she can enlarge the program she runs. Soon he is falling in love and the feeling is mutual but her world is this town her rescue and her dogs while he intends to leave Can they find common ground or are they destined for heartbreaks You will have to read to see
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. What a sweet and uplifting book! I loved the story, the characters and the setting. The story is set in a charming little town, Birdsong, Pennsylvania. We meet Emily, who has lived there all her life. She runs a dog rescue and at the start had 6 special dogs with her. She works as a pet groomer, and in a friend’s cafe in order to support herself and her business. She also has fund raisers and receives some donations that help her business.
Aiden returns to Birdsong to stay with his great aunt after he is fired from his journalist position in New York City. He left Birdsong 12 years earlier to go to college and then his jobs, and hadn’t returned. He has been hired temporarily by the town newspaper to write articles leading up to the fall festival in town. He was directed to write about the prize winning pie as well as Emily and her dog rescue. He also is sending out resumes to our large newspapers but he is afraid he has been blackballed by his angry editor.
When Aiden meets Emily, it is apparent there is some chemistry. He suggests he help her by setting up a website for her. Aiden also is not comfortable around the dogs initially but he works through that issue. He suggests he runs a feature article in the paper and on the website on each of the dogs looking for forever homes. He also takes lots of photos of Emily and the individual dogs to include. He realizes he is enjoying the photography aspect of the work too.
Aiden and Emily set up dates where they go and do fun town activities and include a dog so they can get action photos for the articles. They also kiss. At one point, Aiden’s friend gets him an interview in Chicago at the big newspaper he works for. Apparently, the issue in New York had died down and he was able to look again. He Is torn between his feelings for Emily and remaining in Birdsong and the lure of a prestigious job in Chicago near his friend. Emily is worried about him leaving since her feelings are so strong.
The book has romance, the love of dogs, and angst in the couple’s relationship as the reader wonders what Aiden will do. I highly recommend this sweet story and give it 5 stars. Kudos to Sarah and Kelsey on a wonderful book.
Aiden’s life hasn’t worked out as he planned – he takes the fall for someone else’s error, and now he’s blackballed. He heads back to his hometown, Nowheresville (actually Birdsong, PA) to stay with his great aunt while he regroups. While he’s there, he’s working for the small local paper, writing fluff pieces. Until he meets his first subject. Emily is the girl next door. She grew up in Birdsong, and works a couple of jobs while trying to get her dog rescue non-profit funded. She’s interested in Aiden, but he’s not going to be there forever, planning to leave when he gets his big break. These two are just so cute together, so playful and teasing. And it’s fun to see him became a “dog person”. Her dogs are a funny group, especially Peanut the Great Dane, and Maple the Chihuahua in a doggy wheelchair. I really loved reading this book, and am looking forward to the authors’ next venture.
