** A Defying Gravity Prequel
If I hadn’t considered Amelia dangerous before, I certainly did now. She wasn’t anything like I had expected. Even after all these years–of living so close to her, of listening to her giggle with my sister in the bedroom next to mine–I hadn’t given much thought to my sister’s best friend. But in the span of one week, everything had changed.Everything.*Falling from … everything had changed.
Everything.
*Falling from Gravity is the Prequel to Defying Gravity (Available July 25).
Falling from Gravity was originally released in the Spring Fling Anthology.

What a great prequel to Defying Gravity! I loved reading about the back story to how Amelia And Tobias became a couple. I thought it was so unique how there were links to YouTube videos of songs and dance routines that complemented the story; it added that little bit extra.
This is a novella length prequel to Defying Gravity and is an EPIC read! You get a taste of what’s to come! Falling From Gravity by K.K. Allen will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
A Spring Fling on Spring Break like NO Other!
Young innocent love that will capture your heart. You will cheer for Amelia and Tobias to have it all. Tobias will make you swoon and literlaly melt your heart with the care he has with Amelia.
Falling from Gravity is the prequel to Defying Gravity. It is suggested to read this prior to Defying Gravity.
I immediately fell in love with this book. I was totally taken by these two characters Amelia & Tobias.
This is the very beginning of their relationship and it is a very quick and romantic read. I can’t wait to go and dive into Defying Gravity!
A sneak peek into how just one short week on a camping trip changed everything between Tobias and Amelia. I can’t wait to read the full story in Defying Gravity.
I needed more! Amelia Clark, the dancer who is chasing for her dream. I loved the introduction. Everything around young love were cute from a small crush to actual feelings for Tobias. Off-limit romance is one od my favorite genre… This really peaked my curiousity :
This is how it all began for Tobias and Amelia. Although only a novella this one really packs an emotional punch. Falling in love with your sister’s best friend and finding your love of a game that was stripped from you when secrets were revealed is not easy for Tobias but it is the love of Amelia and her insight into what makes him tick that brings joy to them both. I cannot wait to read more of this series to see what happens to them.
I am So in love with Tobias and Amelia
They were able to console each other during a time when they both needed it. It was a beautiful start to a beautiful journey of love.

I’m already head over heels in love!!
If this is only the prequel,,, I can’t even fathom what the full story will be like! This short story is already packed with so much! Author k.k. Allen has a way with words that leave you feeling like you’re right there in the book! Add in the videos that go with this, and that’s it,, I’m a goner!!
Every time I pick up a KK Allen book, I am amazing at how exquisite her writing is. The emotions and passions of her characters pour from the pages with every word I read. KK Allen has such a talent for telling sexy heartfelt stories that I am always left in awe at the end of her books.
Tobias and Amelia’s story is no different. They are both passionate characters, not just about each other but also about basketball and dancing. I relished watching the start of Tobias and Amelia’s romance. Every touch, kiss, and feeling between the two sucked me in and had me feeling as if I couldn’t read fast enough.
Falling From Gravity is the prequel novella to Defying Gravity, which I have been anxiously waiting to get my hands on since reading Center of Gravity last year. If this prequel is any indication of how wonderfully amazing Defying Gravity is going to be, then I think I may be about to read my favorite book of 2019.
Tobias and Amelia =
Love, love loved it!
Do you like a bit of slow burn, will they/won’t they? Do you like angst? This book has all of this and more!
I’m so ready for the continuation of their story. I NEED it.
Oh boy, I was so excited to read this novella and meet the characters from Defying Gravity. I loved Center of Gravity so damn much and have been dying for more of this dance world ever since…
and let me tell you…this novella did not disappoint one bit. It’s just as good as any K. K. Allen full novel with her usual heat and flare of angst to keep you going until Tobias and Amelia are back in Defying Gravity.
I loved how they couldn’t resist their attraction and how deep they went in just a couple of days sharing their hurts and their dreams and being each other’s chearleader. I really loved how Amelia was Tobia’s motivational coach, he needed to hear what she had to say, he needed to feel that spark back and she gave him that tenfold. I am simply dying to know how they will work out their relationship in the real world. Camping alone in the middle of nowhere is simple but being back home with their families, mainly Tobia’s sister and Amelia’s bestfriend… it’s bound to be a crazy ride and I can’t wait to see how it’s all gonna go down. I feel a little drama coming on a whole lot of angst. Give me!
Gah, this prequel to Tobias and Amelia’s story was perfect in preparation of their long journey in their actual story, Defying Gravity. Since I can’t wait any longer, I’m starting that one now! Definitely recommended!
Falling from Gravity is the prequel to Defying Gravity. Allen definitely has a way of pulling you in from the very first chapter. I loved the backstory into how they came to be, and their connection during that spring break trip to Big Sur was great. Both characters have big dreams and I’m excited to see where it takes them.
Amelia and Tobias have known each other for a long time – her best frien is his sister. When Amelia needs a ride, Tobias is volunteered to drive her. And all of a sudden, their interest grows rapidly.
I thought this was going to be a young adult book because Amelia is in high school, although shes just turned 18. This novella is for adult audiences. That said, I enjoyed reading it.
This is the prequel of Defying Gravity, book 2 of the Gravity Series. It was released in 04-07-20, after the release of book 2 (01/29/20). It is a novella.
The story is about a spring fling between the hero, Tobias James, an up-and-coming basketball hero, and Amelia, an aspiring NBA dancer who happens to be the best friend of Tobias’ younger sister, Trinity.
Sorry, Ms. Allen, I would have loved this novella except I can’t get my head around the reason in your story, why Tobias went “berserk,” for lack of a better word after he found out that he was adopted while Trinity is a biological daughter of his adoptive parents. Tobias went away, abandoned school, and his basketball practices thereby forfeiting his chances to play in the NBA league. On top of that, his adoptive parents went with the story that Tobias was involved in a crime and he was jailed to cover up the family situation instead of coming clean of the reason why Tobias took off.
To me, this story is an unfavorable depiction of both adoptive parents and adoptees. There is no shame in being adopted or having an adopted child. Believe me, I adopted two beautiful children and they are now successful adults. They do not feel ashamed about being adopted and I am proud to be their adoptive parent.
Falling from Gravity is a prequel that introduces Amelia (Amie) and Tobias and how things blossomed between the two during a Spring Break trip to Big Sur. I loved getting to know these two and how they took a chance on each other to see what would come of it. So cute!
Ok, so I have to admit that I am not normally a “young adult or new adult” fan. I often find these plots and characters to be a bit immature and wind up DNFing them. But…. K.K. you have changed my mind.
Amelia is such an adventurous soul, and I love that she is willing to the her own happiness among the uncertainties in her life. She is not one to sit around and hope for a brighter tomorrow because she makes it for herself. Tobias is just the guy to compliment her high-spirited ways by challenging her to see life for what it is- messy. Between the two, they are the perfect way to pair to follow through this novella.
I honestly didn’t want this one to end, so I’m glad there is a longer version/continuation in Defying Gravity. Great job K.K.; you have made me a fan 🙂
This prequel left me wanting sooo much more of Tobias and Amelia! I can’t wait for the angst to wreck me and put me back together in Defying Gravity!
A new to me author, these books have been popping in front of me constantly so I decided to check it out for myself. A novella prequel to Defying Gravity. We were introduced to the characters, but I sense much more is hidden behind our heroine. I look forward to reading their story in the full length novel.
Amelia is a dancer, dancing flows through her veins every time she hears the beat of music. It’s her lifeline to existing, without it there wouldn’t be a reason to carrying on. The dream of dancing for The Lions NBA team is in her sights and she won’t give up.
Tobias lived and breathed basketball, he was being scouted until he day he found something that changed the course of his life. He was angry and left everything behind him with no thought to his team, school, friends or family. His name was mud as rumours started flying, now he keeps to himself. Until his little sisters best friend Amelia comes asking questions and he caves in. She has a tenacity that makes him unravel all of his plans.
Such a sweet and fast read. I loved this prequel to Defying Gravity!! Although I’ve read Defying Gravity this book filled in details of Tobias and Amelia’s story. I enjoyed getting a sneak peek into their lives and experiencing their fall for each other over spring break.
