Famously beautiful model Willow Bradford is taking a temporary break from her hectic schedule to work as the innkeeper at her family’s small-town bed-and-breakfast. She was enjoying the peace of her hometown, Merryweather, Washington, right up until she came face-to-face with Corbin Stewart, the man she loves to hate. A thoughtful rule-follower by nature, Willow threw caution to the wind four … years ago when she entrusted her heart to Corbin–and suffered the consequences when it all fell apart.
Former NFL quarterback Corbin is forceful, charming, and accustomed to getting what he wants . . . except where Willow Bradford is concerned. Unable to forget her, he’s never stopped regretting what happened between them. When their paths unexpectedly cross again, he’s determined to make her give him a second chance.
When a decades-old missing persons case finds Corbin and Willow working together, they’re forced to confront their past and who they’ve become–and whether they can risk falling for one another all over again.

LOVED this book!! But then I love every Becky Wade book! As an author, people ask me who I read, and Becky is in my TOP FIVE authors I recommend.
This book is the sequel to True to You and is about Willow Bradford, a supermodel, who comes home to Washington to care for her parents’ inn. A young fan’s request for help thrusts Willow into the path of her ex-boyfriend Corbin Stewart.
What struck me the most about this novel was the growth of the two characters. Willow beats herself up for past mistakes, trying so hard to maintain the image of the good girl. Corbin is new to Christianity and is still growing spiritually. But it wasn’t just Willow and Corbin’s relationship struggles that drew me into this novel. Wade did a wonderful job weaving a decades-old mystery into the mix. Trying to solve that mystery not only forces Willow and Corbin to face their problems, it also provides a great background for some banter between the two.
Falling for You (2018) by Becky Wade is the second book in the Bradford Sisters Romance series. This book is set to release on May 1, 2018 through Bethany House Publishers. It will come in all forms including eBook, and is 368 pages in length. With a full-time job, a very busy six-year old, and being in the process of moving into a new house, this book took me three days to read. I received a review copy of this novel in eBook form from Bethany House via NetGalley. In no way has this influenced my opinion of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are my own. I give this book 5+++ STARS. Falling for You is a Contemporary Christian Romance.
The reader first meets Willow in True To You, book 1 of the Bradford Sisters Romance series. There is a party scene in True To You where Willow and Corbin see each other for the first time since their breakup four years prior. Clearly, the breakup did not go well because the tension between Willow and Corbin at this party is palpable. I can remember thinking, “How is Mrs. Wade going to pull off a love story between these two characters when their mutual dislike is so apparent?” The answer to my question is simple. The author will force them into a situation where they have to solve a missing persons cold case. BRILLIANT!!! I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery aspect to this novel. For me, having Willow and Corbin work together to solve a cold case made for a more rich reading experience. I loved how they were forced to interact with one another, and I love how they naturally fell back into friendship and love.
Willow is my favorite character in Falling for You. She is lovely, and so perfectly crafted. I found myself really being able to relate to her. One thing Willow struggles with is the notion that as the eldest sibling she must always be the perfect, infallible example of a strong Christian woman. Mistakes are not an option and rules must always be followed to a T. No human on earth, except for Jesus, can be perfect and infallible. It’s just not possible. But, when this expectation is thrust upon you from birth, you tend to internalize this idea of perfection and a voice in your head screams at you daily that if you make a mistake you are the lowest form of human and you have just let down your parents, teachers, friends, neighbors, community, the President of every nation, and God. It’s a tough thing being the first born in a family. There are just so many expectations placed on us. I easily relate to Willow when she discusses being the oldest sister, being the role model, looking perfect for everyone so no one is disappointed. I also relate to Willow’s desire to want to hide things about herself from those she loves. I often want to hide the mistakes I make because the idea of disappointing my mom, my brothers, my husband, my daughter, my friends, or God still kills my soul to this day. The struggle is real for us first-born kiddos!!! LOL!
Another aspect that I LOVED about this book is its fantastic message on forgiveness. The notion of forgiveness — especially self-forgiveness — is very difficult for Willow (and for me). Logically, forgiveness makes sense, but emotionally it tends to be a rather foreign concept. In Sunday school and church, the idea of forgiveness is easy. But in real life, when the heart hurts, it’s really hard to overcome those hurt feelings and the insecurities caused by those hurt feelings in order to forgive. For true healing to occur though it is paramount that we get to that place where we can forgive on the emotional/heart level. Otherwise, the bad feelings never go away. The only way I have ever been able to conquer the hurt and forgive properly — whether it’s forgiving someone else or myself — is by going to God first. God gives us the power to forgive for real!
There are like 700 more amazing things to discuss about this story. But, I don’t want to ruin a second for any future readers. Suffice it to say, I absolutely adored Falling for You, and I am SO sad my time with this book is over. This is a story that will stick with me for a long while. If you are looking for a wonderfully written, highly engaging, and fast-paced story than I highly recommend Falling for You. Run to your nearest bookstore on May 1 and pick up a copy of this stellar novel. You won’t want to miss this one.
This was a great sequal to a great first book. Definitely recommend. 🙂
A wonderful listen on audiobook
This book was amazing as usual. I wouldn’t expect anything less from Becky. It’s a no-brainer that I will love each book she writes, and this one was no different. Becky introduced a bit of a new element to this book, a decades old mystery of a missing young woman that the two main characters Willow & Corbin join forces to solve to help Corbin’s young cousin. Despite their history together(a bad breakup 4 years before) Willow agrees to help Charlotte and Corbin find Charlotte’s long missing great aunt. This was such a cool plot and I desperately wanted to see how it ended throughout the whole book. I did try to savor it as much as possible though because we only get one new Becky book a year and I definitely didn’t want to buzz through it(although a part of me did!). I loved the characters of Willow and Corbin and seeing their growth through the book. It was wonderful to see Corbin again, after meeting him in the last Porter Family book, “Her One & Only.” Charlotte was adorable and I enjoyed getting to see Nora and Britt again. I am so looking forward to Britt’s story next spring. Can’t wait!!
I received this book from the author and publisher and wasn’t required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
The second book in the Bradford Sisters Romance series, Falling for You, by Becky Wade, is a gem of a novel. It sparkles with humor, romance, mystery, and second chances. Set in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, Falling for You is a book as grand and as striking as the scenic setting that enriches the story. The unique plot of this novel is simply captivating as it abounds with details and twists that are delightfully entertaining and thoroughly intriguing.
The characters are lively, authentic, and incredibly endearing. Even as they face difficult trials, they persevere, they make tough choices, they learn, they laugh, they grow, and they endeavor to thrive. As they pursue hope and awaken to new dreams, they begin to find joy in fresh beginnings and open their hearts to the grace that can heal old wounds.
This novel is touching, inspiring, and compelling. It is sweet and real and everything a good book should be. I sincerely recommend Falling for You. It is a book worthy of reading, re-reading, and sharing with friends. Ms. Wade is a truly talented writer! With each book she writes, I find new reasons to love her work more and more, and I eagerly look forward to reading more of her novels in the future.
*I was given a copy of this book from the publisher. A review was not required. The review I have written contains opinions that are entirely my own.
Readers met Willow and (to a briefer extent) Corbin in True to You. We got enough of a taste to know we wanted more of their story, and that wish is granted in Falling for You.
Both successful, Corbin and Willow seem to be a good match. And they were…for a few months. But when things fell apart, so did their amiability.
Now Corbin’s niece has finagled both of them to help her in solving a family mystery, which means spending time together. As the two do their best to remain aloof from the other while avoiding the past, circumstances bring to the surface the things they liked best about each other while they were together.
A second chance romance with two likable characters—more so as details of their tumultuous past are revealed—Falling for You introduces a new romance with some familiar faces. Wade once again delivers the complications of romance with the nuances of family (how much do you love these sisters?).
How long until we get Britt and Zander’s story cause I want to hang out again!

There is just so much to enjoy with this multifaceted story. Exciting characters, that seem so real, I felt like I was part of their family, a mystery to solve, and even some crazy fans that will have you turning on the outside lights and checking your doors to make sure they are locked! You won’t want to miss this latest story in the Bradford Sister’s Romance series!
Willow Bradford is the oldest of three sisters. She does her best to be good and do what is expected. But when she met Corbin Stewart four years ago, things didn’t go according to her neat and tidy plans. Now he’s back in her circle of friends, and circumstances have brought them together to solve a missing-persons case. Has there been to much hurt and mistrust for them to trust each other enough to share their hearts again?
With lively characters and a mystery that will keep you on your toes, you won’t want to put this engaging story down for a moment! I laughed out loud at several scenes, my heart felt heavy for Joe. There are just so many emotions! I have loved reading this series and I can’t wait to read Britt’s story!

I liked this one way more than the first one because I related to Willow more. I felt like the story and characters were better developed. I loved the missing person mystery! There was depth to their struggles with God. I enjoyed this one!
OH!MY!WORD! Willow and Corbin’s journey from shattered pasts to hopeful future is one that should be read with tissues close by. It’s gut wrenching, yet beautiful. The power of love is unstoppable! Epic romance that is swoon worthy!
Recommend to readers who enjoy inspirational, contemporary romance.
I was gifted a copy. All views expressed are my honest opinion.
Although I had trouble relating to both characters, I loved their banter, and I loved their raw, authentic struggles, especially as they realized they had to give it all to God. This book contains an important message, and I appreciated the way sexual sin was handled since this is shied away from in so many books. It wasn’t preachy or judgmental, but it didn’t brush it aside either. This is a needed topic, but it was done beautifully.
It’s a beautiful continuation of the series. I really enjoyed the characters and their flaws and how they were able to grow. Becky Wade just writes such amazingly realistic characters and situations. I really enjoyed this book, I just didn’t have quite the same connection to Willow and Corbin as I did to Nora and John.
The romantic tension between Willow and Corbin was masterfully written from beginning to the end. The transformation of character, family ties, and revelation of a mystery all had me deeply engaged. First Becky Wade read for me. And it won’t be the last.
Becky Wade has been done it again! Another incredible contemporary romance novel for the keeper shelf. Becky Wade is a master at contemporary romance and creating witty banter between her hero and heroine. Becky Wade is one of my favorite must-read authors, and I have loved every one of her books. Without a doubt, Falling for You was my favorite book of 2018.
In the second installment of her Bradford Sisters series, Wade weaves together an intriguing story of romance, humor, and forgiveness as famous model Willow Bradford and handsome former NFL quarterback Corbin Stewart are forced to work together to solve a decades old mystery of a missing person from Corbin’s family. Corbin and Willow’s previous relationship crashed and burned publicly, but sparks between the two still remain strong after several years apart.
Falling for You can easily be read as a stand-alone novel, but to fully appreciate the bond between the three sisters, it is recommended to read True to You first. Plus, readers won’t want to miss the brief appearance that Corbin Stewart makes in True to You. For long-time fans of Becky Wade’s who have read her Porter Family series, Corbin Stewart is tied with Ty Porter as my two favorite heroes from her books. Corbin’s confidence and charisma along with his athletic good looks and his newly discovered faith make him a force to be reckoned with. Willow’s devotion to her faith and her guilt over past mistakes makes her highly relatable to readers who have experienced similar issues in their lives.
Falling for You is highly recommended for readers of contemporary romance, especially those who enjoy books by authors such as Courtney Walsh, Denise Hunter, and Susan May Warren. Readers will be anxiously waiting for the youngest Bradford sister Britt’s story, which releases in April 2019.
I purchased a copy of this book and was under no obligation to write a review. All opinions expressed are mine.
Becky Wade is one of my favorite Christian Romance authors. This is the second book in A Bradford Sisters Romance series. I actually didn’t like it as much as the first one. It felt like the whole story of trying to solve the “family secret” was just thrown in there to add something else to the story.
Im not a huge rich-and-famous-people-romance person. This book is based off the sister, Willow, who is a model and her ex-boyfriend who played for the NFL (and apparently has more than one Super Bowl ring). Their romance was in the past, they broke up about four years ago so you slowly learn how that all went down. You also see them work through forgiveness and healing.
It did get a little too preachy for me towards the end with Corbin and his Dad.
Overall, not my favorite of Becky Wade’s, but it was enjoyable. I will read the next one about Britt.
**There was talk about non-graphic past sex, possible pregnancy outside of marriage, and there is heavy kissing and a desire to go farther.
Falling for You by Becky Wade is a fabulous book. The heroine, Willow Bradford, is a model who is currently working at her parent’s inn and our hero,Corbin Stewart, is a former NFL quarterback recovering from an injury.
I loved the chemistry between Willow and Corbin, the mystery in the story, and the fun elements at the end of each chapter. (letters, texts, conversations, and articles) I enjoyed reading the story, and had a hard time putting the novel down. (The cover is stunning.) Willow is a person who is in the process of learning that God is gracious and when He forgives He forgives completely. Something I was glad to be reminded of. Becky weaves faith into her novels seamlessly and I come away knowing the Father’s heart a little more.
I am a huge fan of Becky’s books and Falling for You is my new favorite. Falling For You is the second in the Bradford Sisters series. You can read Falling for You without reading the first book in the series, but I do think the book would be more enjoyable if you had read the first one in the series, True to You, first. I highly recommend this I received this book from the publisher and was not required to write a review.
Falling for you 4.5 Stars
Willow is the oldest Bradford sister. She is beautiful and smart and a professional model. Corbin Stewart is a handsome retired NFL Quarterback and also Willow’s ex boyfriend. When an unexpected circumstance comes up that has the two of them spending time together, Willow is determined to ignore Corbin, and Corbin is determined to win Willow back. Corbin is such a fun and flirty character, a great match for Willow. All of the characters in this book are wonderful. I loved this storyline, not only did it have romance, over zealous fans, some tough decisions, but it also had a mystery they were trying to solve. It had me eager to find out what happened, with both the mystery and Corbin and Willow. I also love how it touches on true forgiveness and being there for your loved ones. It reminds us God will work things out in His time even if that is years later. This was a great read and great addition to the Bradford Sister’s Romance Series!! I can not wait for Britt’s story!
I absolutely loved True to You and couldn’t wait to read Willow and Corbin’s story in Falling for You! I couldn’t help but get excited by the prospect of a good mystery when Corbin’s niece, Charlotte, asked both him and Willow to help her solve the case of a missing family member. As they’re repeatedly thrown together during the investigation, Corbin and Willow had a lot of emotional baggage to unpack and peace to be made between them. I really appreciated how they were able to work through their past mistakes while building a better, stronger foundation for their relationship. I could really relate to Willow’s struggle with forgiving herself for her past mistakes, and I feel like it’s something that we all struggle with at times. It’s such an important part of our growth as Christians, and I love the way that Becky Wade wove it into such a beautiful love story!
Now I’m eagerly awaiting Britt’s story next in Sweet on You! I received a copy of this book from Bethany House through NetGalley and am under no obligation to post a positive review. All opinions are my own.
I know I’ve just read one of my favorite books of the year and I will definitely be re-reading it!
I haven’t read the first book in the series YET so I hadn’t met grown-up Willow Bradford until I picked up this book. I have read the novella and do recommend starting from there, though the novels don’t necessarily need to be read in order.
Let me tell you something, I had a not very fetching preconceived idea of what Willow would be like, and I’m glad to say her journey turned out to be completely different from expected. Willow is quiet, dependable, strong, and trustworthy. She’s responsible to a fault and has her share of vulnerabilities – from feeling unlovable, unworthy, and as if she has to all perform well in order to keep people around her. I can’t say Willow hides behind a mask because she has two younger sisters who know her well and have no hesitation to meddle in her life.
So when ex-boyfriend, ex-football player Corbin Stewart walks back into her life, the rope tightening around Willow’s lungs is pretty clear and Nora and Britt know they are on Ben&Jerry’s duty, as well as some good rounds of heart to heart talks.
Corbin is definitely a rascal, with his teasing mood and easy smile, he could write a list of all the hearts he’s left in puddles. But there is only one heart he is worried about at the moment; well, make it three – his dad, who has terminal cancer, his “niece” Charlotte, who engages him in detective duty, and Willow, his former girlfriend who he’ll have to bear to get along with for Charlotte’s sake. As awkward and bitter as their interaction might be in the beginning, Corbin starts to see this as an opportunity to talk with Willow honestly about what happened to them four years ago and to seek her forgiveness (though he doesn’t exactly agree she’s only 15% punishable for their breakup). However, things become truly vexing when Corbin actually starts to enjoy being around Willow, tormenting her and coming up with mischievous ways to break all her rules.
At first, I had trouble coming up with a word to describe Corbin. Controlling? I cringed at that idea. Maybe a fixer? It seemed close but not quite not. Then I knew, and it was so obvious I don’t know how I hadn’t thought of it before: Corbin is a fighter, he cares deeply and takes care of his dear ones the way he knows how, by helping them run towards the goal of what’s best for them and bringing down any giant on the way. Willow is determined to keep her walls up though she’s been having trouble to assimilate the present Corbin with the one who broke her heart in the past. Could he truly have changed? Can she still hold on to a selfish idea of him when he gives so much of himself to take care of his dad? When he’s patient and kind to a 12-year-old girl who probably has them on a wild-goose chase?
Time will tell… and the truth might be that it’s time to face the giants head on too, to be honest, cry, but to always choose the possibility of miracles, and to find the precious gift brought by grace: freedom.
Sometimes in contemporary stories, I feel like some threads are a bit lose as if something that strains our energy has to be added to the story to keep the tension going. So, I’m always wary when I see this storyline being considered. Many times I still enjoy the story overall though these issues are not dwelt upon deeply; nevertheless, sometimes I just wish they hadn’t been a random mention.
Let me tell you that Becky Wade writes with purpose in every layer added, going deep into the heart of her characters, bringing fullness to the story. A box of tissues might be recommended. There’s tangible openness throughout the pages of this book, immersing you into each tear of the character portrayed, each triumph, each bit of hopelessness felt, and the moment of finding everlasting and steadfast peace. There’s tension, laughter, compassion written throughout this story about how we shouldn’t take each day for granted, how we should never think twice before offering forgiveness and about letting our expectations fall and breathe. Beautifully well done.
I’m very much looking forward to the next book in the series.
Now I’m off to read my other books in my TBR pile so I can dive into Nora’s story 🙂
