Famously beautiful model Willow Bradford is taking a temporary break from her hectic schedule to work as the innkeeper at her family’s small-town bed-and-breakfast. She was enjoying the peace of her hometown, Merryweather, Washington, right up until she came face-to-face with Corbin Stewart, the man she loves to hate. A thoughtful rule-follower by nature, Willow threw caution to the wind four … years ago when she entrusted her heart to Corbin–and suffered the consequences when it all fell apart.
Former NFL quarterback Corbin is forceful, charming, and accustomed to getting what he wants . . . except where Willow Bradford is concerned. Unable to forget her, he’s never stopped regretting what happened between them. When their paths unexpectedly cross again, he’s determined to make her give him a second chance.
When a decades-old missing persons case finds Corbin and Willow working together, they’re forced to confront their past and who they’ve become–and whether they can risk falling for one another all over again.

‘To be honest, she enjoyed her unforgiveness. She snuggled up with it the way she would a comforter whenever she was feeling down.’
I have been a Becky Wade fan since I read her first book and I fully expect to be a forever fan. Sometimes a writer, after having written a number of books, burns out a bit and their work is not as satisfying to the reader as it was at first. Not this writer. Becky Wade just gets better and better. One thing I love about her work is that she is not afraid to proclaim Christ in her books. Each contains a strong spiritual theme and that really makes me happy. Becky Wade is one of a handful of writers whose books I look forward to all year after closing the last page of the current one. And they never fail to live up to their anticipation.
We met Willow Bradford and Corbin Stewart in Wade’s first book in the Bradford Sisters series, True To You. Corbin walked in the room where Willow was and the tension was so thick it could be cut with a knife. The reader knew something bad had happened between them, something of great magnitude, by the way they treated each other. And we wanted to know what that was.
Willow, an internationally famous model, is back at her family’s home, running her parents’ bed and breakfast while they are away on a missions trip, but just until the new manager arrives. She has never expected to see Corbin ever again. Then she meets 12 year old Charlotte, Corbin’s niece, who is dying to unravel a decades old family mystery and insists that Willow and Corbin are the very ones to help her. Willow reluctantly agrees, even though she knows it will throw her into Corbin’s company often in the next few weeks until she is due to leave for her own home.
Corbin is a former NFL quarterback, famous as all get out. He retired due to a severe shoulder injury and is back in town for rehab and taking care of his ill father. He is forceful and always intent on getting what he wants. Nothing Wade could have done with this character could have added to his appeal. Corbin is perfect. And he decides he wants Willow back. Willow wants nothing of the sort.
Willow and Corbin both have battle scars from their childhoods and have allowed those scars to effect their lives. But they are about to learn a very important truth: God doesn’t make mistakes.
I loved the witty banter between Corbin and Willow. He is a true scamp if ever there was one. I was pulling for him all the way through the book. Wade has added suspense to her last two books and she has also done that well. Nothing over the top, just an added bonus to each book and it works tremendously well for her!
Becky Wade has always had the knack for involving her readers in her stories. We feel as if we know these people, feel their hearts and are pulling for them every step of the way, crying with them as they experience heartbreak and then joy. I love how Wade plumbs the emotional depth of her characters, spending time letter her readers get to know everything about them and not just on the surface. We see here how Willow always seems so strong on the outside, so in control, when in reality, there is a little girl lost in there somewhere who copes with heartache by binge shopping for housewares.
I loved everything about this book. I am now sad because I’ll have to wait an entire year for Britt’s story! Hurry up, time!
*My thanks to the publisher for a copy of this book. All opinions stated here are entirely my own.
This book was amazing! The newest addition to the Bradford Sisters Romance series is one you do not want to miss!
These characters captured me as I watched their interactions and wondered what exactly tore Willow and Corbin apart years ago. As past heartaches were revealed, I grew more and more attached to these characters. These two had a great chemistry. I just loved every single scene they were in together, and seeing how they responded to each other.
I was also intrigued with the mystery that Willow and Corbin agreed to help solve. Watching them dive into the past to help Corbin’s niece find answers was fascinating.
Corbin and his dad had a very touching storyline throughout the book. These were difficult circumstances they were navigating, and their individual faith journeys were beautiful to read about.
I have loved each story in this series, and Falling for You has jumped into the spot of favorite for this series so far. It is also on my all-time favorites list now. Heartfelt and deeply beautiful, this story is one I will read again and again!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Falling for You by Becky Wade
Bradford Sisters Series Book Two
Willow Bradford, the eldest Bradford sister, has taken a break from modeling to help run the family’s B&B while her folks are off on a mission trip. She’s hoping that when she goes back to modeling—the burn-out will be gone. What she doesn’t expect is meeting up with the biggest mistake of her past.
Corbin Stewart didn’t expect to leave the NFL any way but on his own terms. It didn’t happen that way. Instead, he is an injured ex-football quarterback. At least he found a wonderful house to renovate with his dad. And then, his adorable niece asks him for a huge favor that leads his life down a new path.
I love this series, even though I cry through parts of them. This one brings out how as Christians, we still face struggles. It’s not always to easy to forgive—others or ourselves. Christians are human and we fail. Willow’s path is such; filled with unforgiveness and bitterness that she needs to allow God to remove from her.
