Diana had her life planned out…falling for a handsome superstar was definitely not part of it.
Diana prides herself on being in control of every aspect of her life, right down to the house plants that keep her company during her long, lonely nights at home. Plants don’t bark or shed and yes, they have names, but they aren’t much for company. When an unfortunate photo caught with Tad Fisher, pop … pop music’s favorite bad boy surfaces, she’s pegged as his new girlfriend. The only thing crazier than actually being his girlfriend is faking that their relationship is real.
Tad is tired of being painted as a player. Diana is the key to repairing his image and though she could kill him for pulling juvenile stunts like soaking her in the pool, she always ends up laughing too hard to care.
There are a million reasons why being with Tad but shouldn’t work but his killer smile, big heart, and chicken tikka masala are hard to resist. Though Diana doesn’t want to go back to being just friends, she has to trust that her heart has made the right choice.

Another awesome installment of the pop star romantic comedy series and can be read as a stand alone with the ability to make sense. Definitely humor with a little bit of romance and overall nice clean fun. This was very enjoyable as are all the others in the series.
I loved this clean, fun, sweet romance of Tad and Diana, business partners in a restaurant. He has also a pop star, who has been secretly in love with Diana for a while and Diana seems to tolerant him as she has a secret admirer giving her thoughtful gifts. Then one day a picture appears in a tabloid that makes it look like that are a couple and Tad runs with it. Diana is furious, Tad’s PR talks her into a fake relationship, but is this the opportunity Tad has been waiting for? Can he compete with her secret admirer?
This is part of a series and the continuity is great, but the book can stand alone, and the characters are wonderful developed. I highly recommend it.
Opposites attract in this fun frolicking tale of enemies to lovers.
Tad and Diana rub each other the wrong way, but when forced together they might just discover that each carries the right characteristics to balance each other and offer just the right spark.
I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving a voluntary review.
Falling for the Star
Rachael Eliker
This was such a fun book. I’ve so enjoyed all the books in this series and this didn’t disappoint.
It surprises Diana how well Tad knows and understands her and how little she knows about him.
This is a swoon worthy book and so fun to read. Love the characters.
Falling for the Star by Rachael Eliker is number six in Eliker’s Pop Star Romantic Comedy series and maybe the best! It was not nearly as complicated as some of the earlier stories and that made it so much better. Diana owns half of a restaurant she inherited and Tad, who is also a pop music star, owns the other half. It doesn’t always go well; Tad can be really exasperating. He just isn’t very responsible; at least he can’t live up to Diana’s standards. She is preparing to go to her parents’ home (estate) for a Fourth of July celebration and is preparing for her mother’s latest entry into the Husband for Diana sweepstakes. Diana is not thrilled. When her childhood friend, Logan, suggest that she take Tad, pretending to be her boyfriend. In fact, why don’t she and Tad have a fake relationship for a while to boost Tad in the public’s opinion. Seems his playboy ways may have gotten out of hand a little. While pretending, Diana sees a different side of Tad and begins to wish this were more than a fake relationship.
This is a delightful romance written pretty much from Diana’s point of view. Tad is a sweetheart and it takes a while for Diana to really see that. She isn’t sure about his lifestyle, for one thing. It takes being marooned in a cabin during a snowstorm for things to really come to a head. These are good characters. Eliker makes he reader care about them and become invested in their lives. Since it is a series there are cameos of people we have met before, which makes it fun. Diana’s mother is a character and so is her aunt, but very different from one another, and very entertaining. This is a totally fun book to read and relish. I recommend it.
I received a free ARC of Falling for the Star from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review. All opinions and interpretations contained herein are solely my own.
Two opposites who fall for each other.
This is a great story of two people who get brought together by a picture. But these two opposites! He likes to play and makes jokes and pranks where she is extremely serious. Can these two people find a way to make the other meet in the middle and see if they can have a future? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
A PR stunt
Diana owns a restaurant that Tad inherited a stake in.
She’s responsible and hard working but lacking in a relationship.
Tad has a bad boy persona he needs to rehab after the last girl he dated is giving him bad social media.
So Tad tells the press he’s with Diana. She reluctantly goes along with the charade but he keeps making her laugh.
Recommend for a fun and flirty read.
Perfect…. just what we need in this day of ‘stay at home’ time of quarantine . This lighthearted read is sure to take the blues away. You want fun? You’ve got it. You want volatile? Yep, it’s here. You want opposites attract…. and I do mean opposites. Well now, not only do they attract, but they just may collide. I could go on and on. This book is a lot more than dessert, its the main meal with some yummy chocolate pie on the side. It’s got it all. Sit back ,enjoy and don’t be surprised if there’s a giggle or two.
It’s time for some fun. Reading Falling for the Star will let you take that well needed break from gloom and doom. I’m pretty sure you’ll be glad you did. After all, Tad and Diana just may surprise you.
I received an advance copy of Falling for the Star and am leaving my review. This book was just what the doctor ordered in this time of stress and confusion. It gave a well needed break.
If you follow this series you know that Diana and Tad have been oil and water for a while. What became apparent in the previous book is that Tad was more than he seemed and that’s where this story begins. His strength of character in the face of doubters was inspiring. Diana, on the other hand, doubts her worth over and over. Her drive for perfection created a chasm between her and Tad but he continually was open and available. The reappearance of previous characters was fun (Ruby remains my favorite). This is a sweet clean romance with lots of heart. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Loved it. Great storyline and interesting characters. This is a voluntary review
In Falling For the Star, Tad and Diana are faking a relationship. Despite being of opposite temperaments, they work well together as a couple. This book has some great dialogue, interesting characters and some swoon worthy moments. This entire series has been such a treat read (and own). The characters are interesting and three dimensional. I love the world of Harper Music. I am also in love with the green dress on the cover!
I have been looking forward to Tad and Diana’s story and I was not disappointed. Like Rachael’s other books there is chemistry, great characters, and a touch of humor. We are also revisited by some old friends. Just the right combination for a wonderful sweet romance. I recommend this book.
I received a copy courtesy of the author and this is my honest opinion.
(4.5 stars) – does not disappoint!
This series has been so delightfully consistent – each book has been full of swoony fun, with characters you can’t help but love. Book 6 is definitely no exception!
Diana & Tad are opposite extremes. And we’ve seen them clash over & over again, as Tad tries to get Diana to lighten up a little, & Diana tries to get Tad to be a little more serious
Tad’s got a celebrity rep as a bad boy, but in reality, he’s more like a big kid who is serious about having fun.
Diana grew up with constant scrutiny & criticism, & it’s made her very uptight & insecure.
Circumstances force the two of them together, & it’s as volatile as you might expect. I enjoyed how Tad kept surprising Diana with how well he knows her. And Diana helps Tad to be more steady and focused. Their complementarity works so long as they don’t mess it up – Diana with her bouts of insecurity & Tad with his bouts of carelessness.
One of my favorite lines in the book is when Diana is first opening up to Tad:
I decided I was going to have to be the one to be brave. “I’m scared.”
The ending is one of those happily-ever-afters that leaves you with a smile on your face long after you finish
*Clean romance level: passionate kisses, nothing graphic
Each time I’ve read a book in this series I think this would make a fun rom-com. I think like Leap Year or Austenland. I love this world of Harper Music. It’s nice to see former main characters make an apperance here and there. I don’t think we saw as many former main characters in this title but that’s okay. The author doesn’t just throw in people for the sake of doing so. Each side character helped progress the story and added to making the story feel complete. The story, plot and pacing were well thought out and done well. I thought the dialogue between the h & H was good and had some wit to it. There were “awww” romantic moments while keeping eveything clean and out of the bedroom. The h deals with perfectionism and all that that entails. Having that problem myself I found her relatable and felt that Rachael Eliker wrote the h genuine. The H was a bit of her opposite but the couple complimented each other. Their personalities made for some fun interactions. I had a lot of fun reading this story. This author is a definite read and excellent for a relaxing but solid read.
I was worried that one aspect of Tad’s career with so many woman harrassing him so often wouldn’t be adressed. I completely understand the issue the h brought up. I didn’t need to worry. The story was wrapped up just fantastic and left me smiling.
