An escape.
I’ll call it what it is. But there are worse places to spend the next three months than in paradise. A fresh start without the chill of Colorado or cheating exes is exactly what I need.
No one is going to ruin this for me, especially not gorgeous playboys. That is until I decide to throw caution to the wind and fall right into Evan Ashford’s bed. Unlike him, I can’t separate my heart from my head, so I get out before I get hurt. Again.
I thought I left my broken heart on the mainland, but now I’m starting to wonder if Evan can heal it. Here goes everything . . .

Falling for the Playboy was like living the summer of my dreams vicariously through a book. Hawaii is one of my dream places to go, so the setting of this book was all it took for me to snap it up.
YA reads are not always my thing but if an author does it right, it can be great. S.L. Scott has done a fabulous job. The story is believable, people actually have day jobs in between their budding romance escapades. They also fill their spare time with plenty of steamy yet meaningful extra-curricular activities of the sensual nature, if you get my drift. There is no lack of steaminess here; stock up on extra panties.
Spending three months in Hawaii with a friend during summer break is a dream come true for Mallory. Meeting arrogant and too-beautiful-for-his-own-good Evan at the airport is just the icing on the cake. Let the summer of freedom and no judgement begin.
Falling for the Playboy is a coming of age story where two people struggle with their lives and where to go from here. Neither expected to be struck down by cupids arrow and neither seems to know exactly what to do about it.
This is book 1 in a three-book series. I wasn’t left with my jaw on the ground at the end, but I did have a smile on my face and a little hope for the future of this couple, but I’m expecting more tears and more angst to come. On to book 2, Redeeming the Playboy.
Mallory was invited by her best friend to come to Hawaii for summer. She just wants a carefree vacation. While in airport she sees a young man and woman kissing. Evan is at airport saying goodbye to a young woman when he sees Mallory. He lives on island and notices she probably needs a ride home. She’s attracted but she makes it clear she doesn’t want to be a one night stand. Will Mallory be able to resist him? Can Evan do more than just short term intimate relationship?
S.L. Scott’s latest series whisks readers away to a Hawaiian tropical paradise where we meet Mallory and Evan. They have a unique meet-cute and things take off from there. Mallory and Evan’s romance is most definitely not smooth sailing. There are so many ups and downs that, at times, I wanted to smack each one of them! Scott does a great job with these young adult characters. They’re each struggling to find their way while fighting their feelings for one another.
As the first book in the Playboy In Paradise trilogy, Scott sets the stage for secrets and drama. I can’t wait to find out what happens to Mallory and Evan in the second book Redeeming the Playboy. There’s so much more of their story to be told! 4 stars
Oh my! So much angst, smouldering lust and emotions! This book is fantastic for a sexy beach read. Evan and Mallory meet and the sparks start flying! They have some rough patches and communication issues but when they are together, they can’t control their sexual feelings for each other. This story definitely gets steamy!! Can’t wait to see where their journey goes next!
Another series to love!

I love this author’s work! She is passionate and her characters are always full of so many feelings and complexity.
And we can always expect a broken, cocky hero with a heart of gold and a sassy heroine fighting her battles and trying to carry her baggage.
Evan and Mallory had so much chemistry and their feelings were all over the place. They were intense and their felt so much and so deeply, that their closeness and feelings for each other left them confused and so scared, because they were way stronger thatn they could have expected.
Evan is a playboy, but there are so much more inside him that he doesn’t let out, and little by little we get to know him better and understand his moves and fears and personality.
Mallory is already trying to heal from a recent burn, so a cocky player is the last thing she needs. But she doesn’t expect to meet Evan and she expected even less to know the real him. So even though he hurts her (even if not intending to), she can deny the pull he has over her.
Actually, neither one of them can deny it and, as time goes by, they don’t want to deny. They start to realize that their feelings are not something that you can overlook or simply ignore.
They are not just jumping and having fun, they are definitely falling. And they are trying to find out, together, if they can handle the landing.
