The latest romance from New York Times bestselling romance author Jean Oram!
One blizzard. Two opposites. A whole lot of time under the mistletoe.
Josh Carson has a secret. As a firefighter he’s comfortable being sent in to save forests and wildlife, but in his spare time he creates delicate hair ribbons that are anything but masculine. When he finds Simone snowed in on Nymph Island–and she’d … Simone snowed in on Nymph Island–and she’d rather freeze than be saved by Mr. Tough Guy–he realizes that the only way to win her over and get her to safety is to take a risk and reveal his true self.
Simone Pascal loves being independent and self-reliant–she’s never needed a man to save her, and yet she keeps falling into Josh’s arms at every turn, wanting him to rescue her. The worst part? She likes it. A lot. Which is a big problem since she’s rearranged her entire life to take on a new project—a baby via a sperm donor. Her life plans most definitely do not include anything as unpredictable as falling in love with Mr. Macho Firefighter, but that seems to be exactly what she’s doing.
Will the two come to terms with their true selves in time to snag their happily ever after? Or will they be spending Christmas cold and alone?

I was so disappointed with this story. I have enjoyed other books of Ms Oram’s so got this as who doesn’t love a firefighter? I spent 85% of the book skipping pages as Simone was so annoying. She was childish, aggressive and judgmental! Yes she had other stuff going on in her life but there was nothing to like about her.
Josh seemed sweet, even though he was torn by his creative nature.
I finished the book. No woman would act like the main female character.
The story was okay. I did not care for the lead female as she was somewhat abrasive.
absolutely loved writing style
A nice book for young people
I thought the book was juvenile and very unrealistic.
I enjoyed reading this book. Wonderful characters and entertaining storyline.
This book was like sitting in on a bunch of friends talking about nothing 4 over half of the book. The storyline never really picked up and was boring me to tears. I wouldn’t waste my time less you like listening about boring people.
I loved it but I felt like it was to short.
Perfect combination of fear, imagination, trust and the steps the characters went through to find themselves together.
Unrealistic
good book
I enjoyed the earlier books in this series much more than this one. The earlier stories had entertaining characters and plots, but this one seemed much more far fetched and at the same time, the plot too simplistic. To me, the relationship developed way too quickly for two people who were predisposed not to like each other.
I found it to be quite a sweet story but very difficult to read. It didn’t really flow that well. Perhaps if I’d read the other books first I would have been accustomed to the writing style and type of story.
Heroine just too argumentative for me. If I were a man I don’t think I would have given her the time of day. Having a father who is too pushy and in her business is no excuse.
Great book
A very touching story. Really enjoyed all the characters… be sure to read Tigger’s letter to Santa. Heartwarming.
Nymph Island is a magical place and finally Simone gets her chance at HEA. The Summer Sisters are great and it is nice to see how they are all getting on with their loves. This is a great series.
Great story. I loved the Summer sisters and was glad their best friend Simone got a story too. Simone is strong, hardworking, successful business woman with a big heart. There’s nothing she wouldn’t do for a friend in need.
Though lately, Simone has not found her life as fulfilling as she once did. She’s always pushed to be the best in attempts to obtain her father’s approval but Simone hasn’t stopped to ask herself what she really wants. Now with all the new changes to her friends lives Simone’s perspective is different. She’s suddenly questioning and reprioritizing her life.
Destiny decides to step in and send Josh her way.
When they meet sparks fly. Josh is a perfect match for Simone but will she be able to push pass her own insecurities to truly give them a chance?
At times I found myself getting a little frustrated with Simone but I get why she acted the way she did at times. I still really liked her. I loved Josh. He is an awesome character. He’s strong, protective and has a very big heart. I adored what he does secretly to bring a little bit of happiness into the lives of others.
This book is a wonderful ending to a great series. (4.5)
Nymph Island strikes again, with the last of the series! Simone gets to find her chance at love with a most unsuspecting man. All the Summer Sisters and their families and Simone are all out on the island celebrating Christmas Eve. Josh, a smoke jumper is sent off to with a letter to give to Evander and when he arrives at the cottage is caught there in a blizzard. With so many happy couples, it’s no wonder JC and Simone are drawn to each other, but there is a history of Josh that Simone can’t get past. And there is a future Josh can see for himself that includes Simone! Will these two get their acts together and make a go of it? I have fallen for this series, taking me to the island is like coming home. The characters, each with their own personality have made me feel like family as I have gotten to know them, and will be sad to see it end. I do have to say though, that Simone and Josh’s story is the perfect way to end their journeys. Love the ending letter to Santa Claus with Tigger and Evander. Precious and precocious, it’s Tigger at her best with Evander’s commentary. Fun!!!
Vanessa Moyen concludes her narration beautifully. I feel she is this family and no other would do it justice. She is talented, and her Tigger voice is spot on! Wonderful ending to the series.
