I have to say I liked book 1 more than this one. This is continuing Blake and Erin’s story and in terms of the pace of the story this one fell flat for me that it was just ok. Narrators were great.

Falling for the Beast is the second book of the duet, and we are back with Blake and Erin. They have since separated, and Erin is doing what she needs to do to finish her college education. Blake is being the teacher he has always wanted to be and is finally coming out of his shell too. So life is looking good, although they are both craving each other, they know they have done the right thing.
But now it is time for them to get back together. After everything had to do to “grow up,” Erin and Blake are finally back together. I was so ready for it. But then the story went blah. Nothing. I am not quite sure what happened, but I found myself skipping pages even. The first book had such an excellent flow and chemistry between Erin and Blake, but I felt like this was a whole new book instead of the same characters we already had. Kind of sad.

The second book in Skye Warren’s A Modern Fairy Tale duet, Falling for the Beast is an emotional and worthy ending to an amazing retelling of a favorite.
Erin and Blake have choices to make, for themselves and for each other. But what choices are the right ones and is heartbreak the only way?
OMG!! I’m an emotional wreck. Too many emotions flowing through me right now. But that was the best way to end this twist on a classic. Skye Warren never fails to give me a story that is captivating with all the feels.
I know that this is a revised publication of a serial, but having never read the serial, all I can say is that this is amazing! This ranks right up there with the original in my opinion.
We left Blake breaking up with Erin, a tragic turn towards the conclusion of the Modern Fairy Tale duet.
Blake feels too old, tortured, damaged with no hope, afraid Erin won’t come back to him. Erin feels not worthy …
A bit of the same that happened before. But their connection is strong despite outside interference.
They still manage to break through their insecurities. Even knowing the worst and best kind of beasts.
Emotional, angsty, a little rushed for my liking but with a satisfying ending.
Glad I had the opportunity to read an arc of this renewed fairytale.
“Maybe that was what love was really about. Feeling fear but knowing it would be all right.”
Getting out of the safety of your castle can be far more dangerous than it seems. Especially when you have to face the wounds of the past.
Blake Morris, despite his scars does not hide anymore: his career as a teacher is solidifying every day. And to don’t jeopardize his and Erin’s future careers, he decides they must stay away. At least until the end of the classes until Erin graduates. A mission almost impossible.
The chemistry between the couple increases further, something we thought impossible, and reaches stratospheric levels. But there is also much respect, tenderness and complicity in the narrative. Although, many situations are resolved with sex.
Dark facts in the past of Blake and Erin can shake the emotional structure and relationship of this couple when they decide to go back to the house where he was raised and meet his parents, Belinda and Jebediah Morris. Will the couple survive to the bitter poison they will find there?
An engaging and very sensual plot that reaffirms the power of true love to overcome barriers and prejudices. Although walking on dangerous and tortuous roads, pure and tender love can cross thorns and guide the lovers’ souls towards happiness.

So Skye Warren has quickly risen to my husband’s number one favorite romance author for me to read, lol. To say this book is smokin’ hot is an understatement. When you open this book make sure your husband, boyfriend, BOB, whatever you need is ready to go.
After you cool off from the first few chapters the rest of the love story simply falls into place. What a great take on an old story.
This story picks up a little after the ending of the first book. Filled with tension and emotions the author builds us up for the return of these two characters. This story is your typical Skye Warren perfection. The characters have undeniable chemistry. The story is sensual, emotional, and intense. With new plot twists the story kept me captivated. Their relationship strengthens with each new obstacle. Loved this duet!
Falling For the Beast was the emotional, angsty and captivating conclusion to this duet. Erin and Blake’s story became more intense as conflicts threatened to tear them apart. As each of them battled their own demons the bond between them grew and I enjoyed how they learned to let down their barriers. Watching each of them be true to who they were was quite mesmerizing. Full of angst, feels and sizzling chemistry Falling For the Beast was an amazing modern day fairytale that will have you swooning from start to finish.
This was a great conclusion to Blake and Erin’s story. Both are selfless in wanting the best for the other person. Blake is determined to make sure that he gives Erin the chance to live her life to the fullest. Erin is worried that Blake is settling by wanting her and wants to be more for him. But they can’t deny their attraction to each other. While things are hot and heated between them, what will happen when they meet their families? Will Erin’s mother accept Blake? How will Blake’s parents react to Erin? It’s a great story that shows love can overcome anything.
A troubling revelation puts Blake’s newfound career in jeopardy–and even worse, puts Erin’s impending graduation at risk. He can’t risk her future no matter how much he wants her.

Blake’s ex has found out him an Erin. Erin has been confronted by her, and agrees to leave Blake. Erin wants to be with him, but, she knows his career is on the line, and her education also.
Blake knows Erin wouldn’t leave him like she did, so, he gives her time to think about things and then confronts her. She tells him what happened. Blake knows that Erin is the one for him. But, as Erin grew up poor, barely having anything, will he see her just as a gold digger? Is that what his family might think too?
Blake takes Erin home to meet his parents. However, things go south quickly. Blake is able to just leave at a moments notice and take Erin out of that punishment. Blake knows that he will be on his own with Erin and that’s just fine with him.
I did receive a Free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving a honest review.
Hugely passionate, sweetly sentimental, decidedly heartfelt, this is a novella that felt full size. The story of Erin and Blake continues, starting during their temporary hiatus that was to last until after she defends her doctoral thesis and Blake assists to the Faculty Ball. This hiatus was by Blake’s request, to protect Erin’s reputation and ensure she finishes her degree with the honors that she deserves. Meanwhile, both are missing each other and getting gloriously horny.
In this sequel we get the “meet the parents” moments, and they were very exciting for different reasons, and we see Erin and Blake suffer insecurities about each other and getting stronger as a couple each day. Each incident makes them get closer and more committed to each other. I loved the romanticism with the dirty sex and the deep, deep love they express. It was a one-day read, and so very enjoyable, yum.
FALLING FOR THE BEAST ” by Skye Warren is book 2 in Modern Fairy Tale Duet series. This book continues the story of Blake Morris and Erin Rodriquez; it’s recommended you read the previous book ‘Beauty and the Professor’ before reading book 2 so you can fully appreciate and understand what’s going on in book 2 .
We pick up where book 1 left off and the repercussions are grave. Blake is left feeling horrible about what he did but felt he had no choice, especially since he felt he had nothing to offer Erin. Meanwhile Erin is left feeling unworthy and unwelcomed by Blake. These two make soap operas look bland by comparison. Erin & Blake are torn and broken. Can they ever break thru the barriers and just get everything out, break down the walls and just get back to where they were before ? Or will those who wanted them apart win ?
The plot is even more intense, the feels hotter and deeper, the chemistry is just too hot and the story is poppin!! I enjoyed watching this couple work their problems out and ..well- trust me, you need to read this book to know how their love story continues.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
The conclusion to the Beauty and the Beast duet. The first book in the series should be read – they are not stand alones. Continues the story of Blake and Erin. This is a dark and sexy read. I like that the anti-hero Blake allows Erin to grow. Blake is slowly healing from his wounds both outside and the mental pressure of his attack. Just a great, well plotted dark romance. Skye Warren is a master at taking the irredeemable hero and making him not only likable but one you cheer for. Amazing read!!
This is part two of a duet. I would read Beauty and the Professor first because this story continues with Blake and Erin where the first one left off. This book is steamy like book one. This book also explores the challenges and obstacles this couple face.
Falling for the Beast is the second and final installment in A Modern Fairy Tale Duet and cannot be read as a standalone. If you haven’t not read Beauty and the Professor then stop and read that first. This story picks up not long after the end of the previous book and we are all rooting for Blake and Erin. However, there are obstacles that they both have to face in order to find each other again.
I’ve enjoyed this spin on Beauty and the Beast and Falling for the Beast gives us that villain that we all love to hate. I will admit, I didn’t see everything coming so that was a nice surprise. While I thought the first book was sexy, this one is much more sexier. Whew, I want that dirty professor in my life!
Overall, I had fun with this. There was a twist I didn’t see coming and I sped through the story. If you like retakes on fairy tales, this duet will satisfy your needs.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Skye Warren is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.

Falling for the Beast is the second novella in the “A Modern Fairy Tale Duet.” I rated the first book, Beauty and the Professor, 3 1/2 Caffeinated Stars, and though there were some faults, I was excited to continue on in the series. I love Skye Warren as an author & I’m a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast, so I really thought this duet would be perfect for me. Unfortunately, I really did struggle with this series.
Going into part two, I was hoping for more character development but I never really got that. The characters though likable were not my favorite. I liked that both characters were open and honest with each other, but I also struggled with their relationship. It seemed that every time there was a conflict it was solved by sex. Don’t get me wrong, sex is fantastic, but it shouldn’t be used as the sole way to resolve a conflict.
Something else that struck me as weird and out of place was being blindsided by specific characteristics. We have the entire first novella where PTSD isn’t really mentioned, and then, we’re hit with him having PTSD nightmares. It was a little off-putting to me that we’re just now learning about his nightmares. The same thing can be said about him “holding back” his need for rough sex.
Though I had a few things that I didn’t like about his novella, I had some stuff I loved. I really liked that Blake always had Erin’s back. He constantly wanted to be there for her and supported her in whatever way he could. I loved that though they both had insecurities, their relationship wasn’t one of them. They both were willing to fight for what they had & shut down some of the antagonists in this book.
Even though this book wasn’t perfect, I did enjoy it. I do recommend reading some of Skye Warren’s latest books instead of this series. You can tell that her writing has grown & improved since this book was first released. One of my personal favorites of hers is Prisoner.
The final conclusion to Blake and Erin’s story. My..oh..my do these two set many of the pages on fire. Gosh this two have so much passion for each other and their deep love for one another plays out so well that just keeps those pages turning. I loved their journey and really enjoyed how their story ends. Like I said in my previous review of Beauty and the Professor that I normally don’t read any kind of re-telling of fairy tales, but I am so glad that I took a chance on this one. Skye Warren always has a way of making me fall in love with her writing and her characters. I recommend you give this one a try especially if you have never taken a chance on modern day fairy tales. You might be surprised.
Happy Reading Everyone!!!
