FALLING FOR THE BEAST by Skye Warren is book Two in : A Modern Fairy Tale Duet Series. This continues the story of Blake Morris and Erin Rodriquez, so you should read the previous book ‘Beauty and the Professor’.
Blake goal is to keep Erin safe even at his own expense. Erin is torn with what has happened with her and Blake, but knows she must support her mother in addition to working toward her Master’s Degree. Each have their own personal doubts if they are good enough for the other but neither could love the other any less. So enjoyed reading their story.
It was noted on the summary where this book description was given that this was a new take on the previous versions called Beauty Becomes You and Loving the Beast.
WOW!!! Loved the way she fell in love with “him” where his looks could have scared her away. She could see that he would be worth chipping away the broken pieces and he loved her so much that he had her trust in his feelings for her. Good character development for both Eras and Blake. This type of book, where someone with PTSD, can start to see the light of day with encouragement and love…are some of the best. He loved her so much he had to stay away from her while she finished her final thesis and the paper for his class. But on the night they were to come back together, while he was finally socializing with colleagues and overcoming what he perceived to be people afraid of him, her mother had a heart attack. As soon as he heard he drove to find her, rekindling their love. The trip to his parents house was certainly unexpected but threw in the “ah ha moment” as to what happened in the past with her mother. Underlying story (with lots of sex) was very well developed.
This is the final part of Blake and Erin’s story, this dark retelling was fantastic, their chemistry in this part was off the charts, I love the twist the author gave the characters, definitely surprised in a great way. I couldn’t see a better ending to their story. The audiobook was narrated by Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola, I simply loved them together, defiantly a great addition, or just get the audiobooks instead.
Falling for the Beast by Skye Warren is a modern day fairy tale that I listened to on audio narrated by Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola. This is the second and final book in the A Modern Fairy Tale Duet Series.
Skye did a great job wrapping up the series. I really enjoyed this twist on Beauty and the Beast. The relationship between Erin and Blake was a roller coaster but you couldn’t help but root for them.
Stephen and Lia did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like modern day fairytales, erotic romances, or age gap romances.

This is a modern twist to The fairytale Beauty and the Beast. Erin and Blake have a deep love for each other. Blake is her lover and protector. This story is intense, emotional and very sensual.
Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter were excellent narrators. Bringing all the emotions of the characters to life! audiobookobsessionreviewer

This is the second book in this duet and you do need to start with book one, Beauty and The Professor first. I liked Blake and Erin a lot. Even with the age gap it is very easy to feel the emotional connection between these two and their chemistry burns through the pages. I really enjoyed this engaging story about the differences between these two and the insecurities they both have. I felt for both of these characters. They each had heavy emotional baggage that weighed heavily on them and caused stress on their relationship. My one complaint with this book was that I wish that Blake had sought some help for his PTSD. In book one it was not such a big issue but in book two I felt that this really took center stage and I just felt that the author dropped the ball by not addressing the issue in a head-on, realistic way. I simply could not believe that with the concern and care Blake tried to show Erin wouldn’t force him to either seek help or be forced to leave her in his need to protect her. Still, I did enjoy this steamy and emotional series. The dual narration was a plus and both narrators did a terrific job. #AudiobookObsessionReviewer
I love a second book in a series as it makes the narration feel so comfortable. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter do such a good job it’s a joy to listen to them again.
I so wanted to listen to this story as the last book just ended. This one picks up from that point and moves the characters and the story forward. As much as I enjoyed it there was something missing somehow, it just didn’t spark me as much as the first book did. I appreciated everything they went through and I was pleased with where they ended up.
Stephen Dexter & Lia Langola nailed these characters it this sweet romantic modern fairy tale where she fell for the beast and the beast after much reluctance melted for her. It seemed the more obstacles Blake put in her way, the more Erin defied him, became more sure of herself that they belonged together and he deserved a HEA.

This is the second book in A Modern Fairy Tale Duet. Overall, this is an interesting retelling of Beauty and the Beast, and a good conclusion to this duet. Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did a great narration.
This was the ending to Blake and Erin’s story. It was like passionate poetry and we learn some things about their families. The only problem I have is I felt like it wasn’t really necessary. I felt like half the book could’ve been put into the first book and just be one standalone instead of a duet. But Skye is a great writer so it was really well written.
A great ending in this duet. They did have a few things to overcome, but it was done with grace. I loved the way this story ended.
The continuation of A modern Fairy tale continues on Falling for the beast.. time has passed and they still have to hide and be smart about showing to the world their relationship.. she is in love with him, she doesn’t care how he looks like or what he does, she only wants to be with him, the only man who understands her and reads her that well. The second book is also great, we get to see the ups and down between Erin and Blake.. but heading towards the HEA.. not before having to deal with a few mean secondary characters that don’t want to see them happy.. life and people around are trying to separate them but only love and time can make this happen.. great conclusion of this duet
Blake still has demons that haunt him. But this time, they run deeper than his skin. The way Erin and Blake’s lives intertwine, unfold in this book. The struggles to be together become too hard to fight. I enjoyed the discovery of the past in order for them to find a future. The back story is intense and truly brings out the best in this book. The intertwining of their lives makes their relationship so much more intense. Hot, steamy scenes fill the pages of this story as Blake and Erin find ways to be together. I never saw the twist coming and it captured me, just as it captured Erin.
Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter narrate this story. I loved the consistency of the narration for both books. Ms. Langola has such a sultry voice, that she captures her audience with anything she narrates. Every emotion, fear, and struggle Erin feels, is brought to life with Ms. Langola’s narration. Stephen Dexter is a great narrator. His ability to bring out the beast in Blake is captivating. Mr. Dexter narrates Blake’s every thought and action and even the hidden emotions of Blake in such a way, that Blake becomes even more loveable. He makes those hot, steamy scenes melt your earbuds! The narration of this story enhanced the experience if it.

Sweet ending!
This last book in the duet gives us a lot of conclusions and answers.
I love the sweetness but also the roughness of this story. Warren is good at giving both things in equal measures.
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Feelings between the main characters is flaming hot in this book and I feel like I know them and their relationship very well at the end of this story.
Narrators:
Very good voices that has clear pronunciation and read with passion.
One tiny bit of let down; I wish the male narrator could not raise his voice when getting passionate reading the story. It took a little of my joy when I had to turn down the volume at those points.
Otherwise it’s a winner, 5 stars overall

Falling for the Beast
A Modern Fairy Tale Duet, Book 2
By: Skye Warren
Narrated by: Lia Langola, Stephen Dexter
So glad this has come out so we can find out where Erin and Blake end up! This second part of the series picks up with Erin an Blake broken up. But will they remain that way? Life for these two is about to change. There are sacrifices to love, there is school, there is family members and there are pasts and futures all playing a part in their relationship.Skye Warren’s modern day telling of this story is full of intimacy and passion. Blake’s backstory is told with compassion, living with PTSD and finding his new normal. I love her writing, though I do wish at times, there was more story and less intimacy. Their story is so good, I would have liked to have had more!
The narration continues with Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola. They are amazing with their ability to bring a performance to life. I love Stephen as Blake. He gives him a vulnerability with his voice, letting us feel his pain regarding his looks as well as as his experiences, and we are able to live with him as he comes to terms with his feelings for Erin. I loved Lia as Erin, she gives her a strength in her voice that lets us know she means business, and her love is unconditional. This is a wonderful team for this modern day fairy tale.

Perfect end to a modern fairytale
This picks up right where the first book ended. It’s a brilliant end to Blake and Erin’s story.
In this book we get to experience more of what makes Blake tick and what made him the man he is today. I love him he’s so well rounded as a character and sexy as hell. Speaking of sexy this book should have a Scoville rating it’s so hot. This one made me blush in the car.
Lea and Stephen are brilliant narrators. They allow you to get lost in Skye’s words. An honest to god pleasure to listen to.
I would recommend this to fans of age gap romance, fairytales with a twist and political scandals.
