Five stars. Joanne Dannon has written an exciting, humorous, and interesting story of Nate and Tilly. Their relationship started out with half told truths, out and out lies, vague details of their real lives and a very strong attraction. They had different agendas but used each other to achieve their goals. Their attraction became more intense as they worked towards the end results. I could not read fast enough. Stayed up late to finish. Highly recommend.
Romance hasn’t been my normal genre for 3 decades, but a friend recommended this and I still trust her judgement. While certain aspects may have been done before, IMHO it’s impossible to get a story which is truly original from start to finish. For me, it’s way more important to have likable/credible characters reacting to each other and their circumstances in fresh and original ways. Ms Dannon’s writing achieves this admirably. A thoroughly enjoyable romp in a well-realised exotic setting.
OMG you will definitely fall in love with these characters and you will be hooked from the first chapter. I started it and couldn’t put it down until I finished the book. This book has you routing for the characters the whole way through. If you are looking for a fun loving read with lovable characters and a great story that will keep you captivated from beginning to end then this is it!

I really enjoyed this book.
The plot had many twists and the characters were believable.
I always enjoy reading this author.
In this well written romantic drama, one gets far more than the usual contemporary romance. Set in Israel, the writer’s love of the country and background is obvious and one gets a different perspective of living and touring Israel.Tilly goes into hiding when she wrongly accused by the press of being a home wrecker and for a few short days she thinks she’s safe. That is until Nate finds her and although he has his own reasons for going after the story, she nevertheless feels betrayed when she realises that he is also investigating her. The attraction between Tilly and Nate is strong and the typical Australian banter and terminology is amusing bringing some laugh aloud out loud moments. I loved all the characters in this book and especially enjoyed Tilly’s strength of character and Nate’s willingness to go against everything he knows to become vulnerable in his relationship with Tilly. This was an enjoyable romance with some suspense and plenty of drama.
I read this novel as part of Joanne Dannon’s newest box set “Dreaming of Desert Love” which also has some great reading material. However, this novel stands out as my favorite novel. With Tilly being saved by Nate in Israel, she swore she wouldn’t fall for any man, especially reporters stalking her & trying to get more dirt on her alleged affair with a married man. Nate’s a smooth talker & both fall in love with each other until she finds the truth about him. Nate needs to come clean on his feelings & his truth but can she trust him again?
Having this story in Israel is so exotic, enlightening us with ancient history on Christ’s life, tying in the faith of Tilly & Nate being together again so they can have a HEA. Beautifully written!
I volunteered to read this novel & leave an honest review.
Tilly Walker leave England to fly home in Australia.
Instead she goes to Jerusalemn, but the reporters follow her everywhere, because of her last work as a nanny in a rich family.
The press, newspapers, reporters wrote about Tilly had an affair with a politic man.
