Can a Case of Mistake Identity end in True Love?A warrior who knows nothing about Christmas forced to play Santa…with disastrous results.A girl running from her past, who lands in a dead-end job as Santa’s Helper Elf.Can Lisa keep herself from…Falling for Kindred Claus? It’s a week before Christmas and Lisa James is stuck in a dead-end job, playing Santa’s little Elf at the local mall. After … Santa’s little Elf at the local mall. After fleeing her home to get away from an abusive drunk of a husband, she’s trying to keep a low profile, so it’s not exactly like she has her pick of career paths. Still, she can’t help feeling like she’s hit rock bottom…that is until the mysterious Kindred playing Santa at her mall shows up.
Asher is part of the Kindred Elite Espionage Corps. Sometimes he serves as an assassin, other times a diplomat, but he’s never been Santa before. And he’s not supposed to be now. When he mistakes Lisa for his contact and she mistakes him for the Kindred who is scheduled to be Old Saint Nick, two hours of confusion and peeing, puking kids are the result. After all, who ever heard of a seven-foot-tall Santa with fangs? The kids are scared, Asher is frustrated, and Lisa loses her job.
To make up for the confusion, Asher offers to take Lisa on his next diplomatic mission–a boring and safe affair where all they have to do is attend the coronation of an alien Potentate. But things go horribly wrong when there is an assassination attempt and Lisa and Asher are caught in the middle of it.
Will the two of them escape with their lives? Will Asher listen to his heart, which tells him Lisa is his fated mate? And will Lisa be able keep herself from…

Her perfect Santa
This has to be one of my favorite books by the author. Not to mention one of the best holiday stories I have read. I love how these two meet and connect, it really drives the rest of the book. They both have had hard pasts that they will have to overcome to be together, hopefully before it kills them. I enjoyed everything about this book and the HEA is one I am going to want to keep reading. I can’t wait to see what the author sends our way next!
Loved it. Another great one. I couldn’t put it down. It had me from beginning to the end. Grab it! Another great one!

A fun Christmas read involving the Kindred. A warrior who knows nothing about “satan claus” made for a hilarious start to this novel. Lisa is on the run from her past and this Warrior needs a partner for his mission. You just know if you’re a fan that despite danger, you’ll be chuckling your way through this story. The little fluffy critters were an extra piece of entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Lately I haven’t been too thrilled with the Kindred series. Truthfully the characters just seem thrown together and not really connected. Yet, here you can tell a quick bond grows between the characters. They both have reasons to fight their bond due to old and recent trauma. I really would have liked more fleshing out of the alien culture they go to visit. The basic answer was you aren’t from here you can’t understand. In the end I so want my own Kindred Claus and my on Chewchie.
I love reading the Kindred books, this book has a great storyline. There is action and adventure, the chemistry and interaction between the characters Lisa and Asher is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Wonderfully entertaining
This is a wonderful story that has a holiday flavor. Lots of action and adventure throughout the book. I loved the planet that they went to and all the things that happened. This book has an awesome HEA. I also loved the little “Chewchie” in the book. They are so much more then a pet. The world most the book takes place on is a very interesting and imaginative place. Loved the characters throughout the book.
I highly recommend this book as well as any others in this series. Each or self-contained stories yet part of the series.
When I read through the blurb and then the introduction of this Kindred Tales novel by Evangeline Anderson, I decided it was going to be a winner. I wasn’t wrong. I may just make this one my every-Christmas story. It’s that good.
The opening chapters about setting up Asher, an elite member of the Espionage Corps, to act as a mall Santa are hilarious. Ms. Anderson’s description of an alien’s view of our Christmas traditions and beliefs are laugh-out-loud funny. The children and their parents waiting in line are exaggerations of our society, which becomes a sobering tone cleverly hidden behind the glittery decorations. Lisa, who has escaped her physically abusive spouse, plays Santa’s elf, normally a creature of delight. And that begins the split between what we hope the Holiday Season will bring and all too often what really happens.
One of the beauties of this novel is the logical way so much good comes out of so much bad. Ms. Anderson makes Lisa’s going with Asher to a distant planet seem reasonable when actually how could she trust a man she’d known only a few hours, especially given that she is hiding from her husband and knows bad does exist. All through the story line, this kind of negativity turns into something positive. Of course, it does take facing difficulties and working outside their comfort zone. Nothing comes easily, and dangers lurk everywhere.
Can both survive? Will they find true love or will they be forced to live separate lives after the mission? Is Asher the type of Kindred who truly can never bond? I couldn’t put it down until I’d read it all. It’s definitely an A+ star!

Evangeline Anderson has created another emotion evoking masterpiece! Humor, joy, lust, passion, anger and more will be evoked from your soul when you read Falling for Kindred Claus.
Lisa and Asher meet through a case of mistaken identity and their wild ride begins. You’ll definitely be missing out on laughing, crying, and rejoicing if you don’t read this book. A definite 5 stars!

Great Christmas story. Lisa mistook the Kindred Asher to play her Santa Claus. He was a terrible but funny Santa. His attraction to Lisa was immediate as he had the first two signs for a Kindred to recognize his mate. Lisa ends up going on a mission with Asher, their attraction to each other growing stronger. But Asher hurts Lisa so she goes back to Earth and is almost killed by her abusive ex-husband. Asher saves Lisa and they get their happily ever after.
This story was sooo good. Loved bringing back alot of the older characters. This reminded me of alot of the earlier stories. Always love seeing different kind of kindred. Cant wait for the next one!
Falling for Kindred Claus is the 20th book in the Brides of the Kindred series by author Evangeline Anderson. This one has a little holiday charm, a whole lot of laughter, and a uniquely kindred romance. This book is part of a series and better enjoyed read in order. However not totally necessary to understand the basics of this story. Ms. Anderson does a great job of explaining the kindred she is introducing to the story, so you don’t have to be a fan to read this one. I think it adds to this experience. We do meet people we know and love from previous books.
Warning there is a huge cute alert and you might want a furry little alien buddy of your own after reading this story.
Lisa is working as an elf when we meet her. She is running for a husband who has almost beat her to death. She is terrified but she is also brave. She makes the situation work for her. I liked that very much about her. She is a strong person.
Asher is part of the Elite Espionage Corps of the Kindred. He is convinced he can never have a mate. Talangese kindred have special DNA and they must mate with someone with that DNA. I will let you read the book to know more about them. They are very interesting and have their own style and fobs.
Overall, I loved this story. It has a Christmas in it, but not overly done. There is also intrigue and wonder of meeting a new race. I highly recommend this book even not at Christmas. I think it really adds to the Kindred storyline and you might have a new Kindred to love at the end of the book.
Five Shooting Stars
Lisa is hiding out, working as an elf at the mall at Christmas and Asher is pretty much a spy and heads down to Earth for his next mission. He thinks Lisa is his contact and ends up playing Santa, even though he knows nothing about Santa and Christmas. It is completely hilarious and I loved the things Asher was saying to the kids.
Anyway, the real Kindred who is supposed to play Santa shows up and things get resolved but Asher realizes that he needs a mate for his actual mission. He liked Lisa and asks her to go with him since it’s just an information gathering mission. The place they go is really unique and I loved all of the things that Lisa and Asher learned about each other and learned on the new planet they were exploring.
This was a great read and it had lots of Christmas elements to it if you’re in the mood for something festive!!!

Perfect Christmas addition to the Kindred series. The Kindred really don’t get Christmas and Santa. But one mixup will bring one Kindred and one woman into a very interesting circumstance. He knows there is no mate from him. But he is still all Kindred and would do anything to protect a female. She might just need him and to give her a chance at making a new life. They’ll have plenty of adventure and some danger as things heat up. Another great addition to the series.
fun read
Evangeline Anderson- Falling For Kindred Claus: A Kindred Tales Novel (Brides of the Kindred)
This Kindred Tale was much more than a small story it was a full action packed rollercoaster sensual HEA book. Although it takes place around the Holidays there is so much more to this story.
Poor Lisa James is on the run from a violently abusive husband and takes a job as an Xmas Elf at a mall to make some much needed money. She is horribly afraid her ex will catch her and has a good deal of PTSD from this ordeal, yet she is a survivor pushing herself to go on without endless whining (this makes her a special heroine in my book). She is totally stumped when she mistakenly believes a male model worthy Kindred Warrior shows up by her mall job , that he is the Kindred the Mothership is sending down to play Santa for the children.
Asher , a Kindred Warrior in a Special Mission Forces, is at the mall to meet up with the contact for his next assignment. When the curvy pretty redhead mistakes him for someone named “Satan Claus” there is a lot of unexplained chaos.
Lisa loses her job but gains an adventure as Asher needs a female to play his mate for his next assignment.
Theirs was a really fun, and at times dangerous mission to a planet of blue people who have very unique emotional connections with their mates (I want my own “Chewchie” and if I get lucky a hot Kindred to complete the package as well)!
There are many lol moments between the misunderstanding at the mall and the communication gaps between Lisa and Asher.
As they both have many broken issues to conquer in their lives, the path to Lisa and Asher’s finally coming together -with some help from the Goddess of course- is an exciting, funny, romantic sexy hot adventure that is enhanced by the unlimited imagination of Evangeline Anderson’s world building.
This is a delightful and engrossing novel for the holidays or any time of year. Enjoy!
The perfect Tale to get in the holiday mood.
Lisa is trying to start fresh even though her ex won’t let her go.
Circumstances bring her in contact with Kindred spy Asher due to mistaken identity.
Sparks fly – both romantic and hostile causing them to start on a new mission together.
New beings and a foreign planet’s customs help to intensify what is happening between them.
Will near tragedy break the new bond before it can develop?
A leap of faith and an otherworldly nudge couldn’t hurt.

Lisa and Asher were made for each other even though they have been wounded in the past they both must come together to accomplish the task at hand can they find what they need in each other your definitely going to have to read the book to find out great edition to the kindred tales.
Another great book from this author.
I had to laugh at the thought of Asher being mistaken and forced to play Santa Claus. Oh the fear the kids must of had when they saw this big fanged dry humor Santa. Yeah I got a good chuckle from that.
I just loved Lisa. Like all of the women you read about in the Kindred bird series she has a very strong personality that I love. She knows how to a stand when need to.
I just loved when they went to Helios Beta. I feel in love with the Chorkays. One thing about this author is she always has some interesting creatures in her stories.
Of course there are hot and steamy parts and some very touching moments as well. I would love to see some more stories about the Tangala Kindred in the future.
Another fantastic addition to the Brides of the Kindred series. Plenty of intrigue, action, laugh out loud moment, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. I especially liked the chewchie. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read can’t wait to see what else is in store for this series. I received a free copy via booksprout I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are my own.
I have to say I love this entire book series but Asher and Lisa’s story was fun and also scary and exciting this book had me laughing at the fact Asher thought Santa claus was Satan clause I also really liked the chewchies I almost what the were real lol this book was a great read and I highly recommend this book and the entire series it’s a wonderful series and I can’t wait to see what will happen next I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
