I really liked this story.
When chef Lindsey inherits half of an old restaurant, her dream of running her own kitchen is about to become reality, but Alex, who inherited the other half, has very different ideas for the old restaurant.
While these two work to find an agreement on the old restaurant, the attraction between them only increases.
I loved the story, it’s well written and interesting, with a fun romance and strong characters.
Sweet how they two strong personalities learn to work together and speak to Not each each other. There are lol moments and moments you want to smack sense into one or the other.
Fun likeable characters. Family and in a small town.
This was a great romance novel. I enjoyed the story of the couple and their interactions. They seemed to never get along, yet they couldn’t stand being apart from one another when they were forced apart. I loved Lindsey’s tenacity on keeping her grandmother’s restaurant as it was. I like her spunk in going after her dream. Alex was a get-er-done kind of guy that left heart out of every decision he made. I like that Lindsey’s character brought out the heart in him and that Alex’s future-minded thinking helped Lindsey see life through a different perspective. I enjoyed the romance and the way the couple was together. I received a copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I loved Lindsey and Alex a lot. From all Sweet Bay books this was my favorite. There is lots of love, family love, traditions and memories passed from one generation to other. Two improbable world collide and merge to create one. I fallen in love with them.
I like Lindsey and Alex, but I would have liked to have heard a little about how Calvin/Layla and Beau/Cara are doing. Lindsey is a chef because of her grandma. She taught her all of her wonderful Italian recipes and Lindsey expected to inherit her grandmother’s old restaurant. What she didn’t expect is to have Alex inherit half of the business. While Lindsey can run the kitchen, Alex’s experience with running the rest of the business is what is needed. But she doesn’t want to share it with him. He would rather just sell the property and move on. He has other restaurants to run and he isn’t sure about being the town he left long ago. Lindsey wants to stay in her hometown and run her business. Maybe she can buy him out? Maybe he doesn’t want to sell out after all.
I love reading romances about wealthy driven alpha guys who find the true meaning of life through romance and love of s strong, good-hearted woman, and Rachel Taylor is a pro at these as evidenced by her truly fun Sweet Bay Billionaires series. That’s certainly the case with the romance of Lindsey and Alex in Falling For Her Billionaire Enemy (Book 3 of the series). This is another well written, and well plotted, fun romance with strong leads and a great cast of supporting characters. Read the publisher’s blurb on this. If you find it even remotely appealing then I can guarantee you’ll love the book. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
I really enjoyed this book.
I loved all the emotions between Lindsey and Alex.
They argue, they fight, they laugh and they love.
This author has a winner.
Family Legacy.
Italian matriarch Maria Pennington leaves her restaurant (which has been closed for a decade) not to her sous-chef granddaughter in it’s entirety but jointly to her and her adopted grandson, a billionaire restaurant developer who is rarely seen in Sweet Bay. Lindsey is determined to resurrect her grandmother’s business and fights Alex’s plans, first to pull it down and sell the land and then to make it a generic restaurant like his successful city businesses. Much to his surprise Alex finds he likes fighting with Lindsay, she keeps him on his toes and makes him feel alive. Only problem is, Lindsey already has a long term boyfriend. A pleasant, if undemanding romance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Falling for her Billionaire Enemy by Rachel Taylor a five-star read that you will fall hard for. This is the third novel in the Sweet Bay Billionaires series and they just go from strength to strength, each can be read as stand-alone. This is a sweet, clean romance that will make you hungry as you read, the descriptions of the tasty Italian food are mouth-watering and delicious. Alex Pennington is a great character and he will make you turn each page quicker than the next, he has a compulsion to him a drive that is powerful, will he ever find what he needs to be happy? After a great inheritance that comes with ties hopefully, he will find what he needs. Lindsey was someone who I warmed too much like she warmed her food as the story developed and she became someone you could get behind; Sweet Bay is a place that will warm you like a warm blanket and the people with in are a special bread that will warm you like a hot chocolate. I for one can’t wait for the Sweet Bay Brides and the stories they will bring.
