A sudden and brutal attack on a coalition training camp in Iraq wipes out all but two survivors: Captain James Grant and Australian SAS Sergeant David Maclean. Drawn into a clandestine world that deals with unusual encounters the two soldiers volunteer to help with the investigation into an alleged UFO crash in Alaska. The mission, however, is far from simple as it soon becomes apparent that … something dangerous is going on and not everyone is as they appear to be.

Great easy read!!
This book was so good I purchased the next one in the series–The Founders. These books are good because “it could happen”
I liked this book a little twist on the UFO stories. I stayed up very late to finish
Strong characters. Inventive plot with good twists. Action sequences are detailed and believable. Good read.
This was a fun book to read. I would love to see another book with these same characters continuing their adventures.
Interesting plot, the DNA upgrade was fun, even though a few military parts are a bit far fetched.
Fallen Star was a fine yarn, well written and smooth reading. A crisp “what if?” science fiction story of a particularly nasty alien visit to Alaska. I’m quite looking forward to reading more of this author’s work.
Fun read.
A good book that quickly grabbed my attention and held it to the final page.
It is good solid science fiction novel of old classic writers. A reasonable plot with a variety of twists and turns. The villain gets his just results, the hero gets the girl, but plot is not the standard military story with lots of heroic beating of the enemy. As usual, politicians screw every thing up with personso
Enjoyed this, kept me turning the page. A little lost at the beginning and sometimes hard to keep track of all the characters, but it was a complete story that can stand on its own which sadly can’t be said for more books that are just the start of a series.
This was an alien invasion, government cover-up because they want the technology story. Although the story is set in modern day, it hints at the fact that the cover up has gone on for a very long time. For the most part the story held my interest, but there were times when it dragged and I almost stopped reading it. I think when writers do government conspiracy stories, they tend try to immerse themselves too much into a government story and the reader gets lost in it. Detail is good, but too much detail is boring.
Well plotted, exciting, great read. Highly recommended.
A book that makes you laugh and wonder in the same breath. Cool!
Interesting but improbable premise.
I love these kinds of books. To me it was filled with mystery and intrigue. I plan on reading the rest of the series!!!
I loved it from start to finish!!
Interesting combination of UFO themes
Author needs to research locations a little.
I did not care for it. I don’t even remember what it is about.
