A sudden and brutal attack on a coalition training camp in Iraq wipes out all but two survivors: Captain James Grant and Australian SAS Sergeant David Maclean. Drawn into a clandestine world that deals with unusual encounters the two soldiers volunteer to help with the investigation into an alleged UFO crash in Alaska. The mission, however, is far from simple as it soon becomes apparent that … something dangerous is going on and not everyone is as they appear to be.

I liked this book. The story line was unusual. There was fast pace action following different characters at the same time.
Good book
I am still reading this book. I am about 60% of the way through the book. It is an easy read. The characters are believable.
Obviously, the aliens are not all that believable…but I would be giving away some of the plot if I said much more.
Great book. Read it in 2 days
Difficult to get too deeply involved.
Great book. Imaginative.
I finished it, therefore it was worth READING !!!
Good read
I enjoyed this military style book. Interesting. Hard to put down.
Decent action writer and resembles a Rollins setup but sci-fi. An original new mix. Worth a read.
Really a great read! The characters are enjoyable and the plot is intelligent. A great summer – or any season for that matter – read.
Overall, a fast paced and exciting story. After a slow start, it becomes hard to put down. Like most stories of this type, one must suspend disbelief as the protagonists repeatedly manage to avoid being killed or severely injured in giant animal attacks, explosions, long falls, etc. The character development was a bit thin and the timeline of the narrative was confusing at times – is it day or night? Did this happen before that? Also, better proofreading would have avoided some distractions from the story. An injured man climbing a fifty meter high tree? I assume the “fifty” was meant to be “five”. Nevertheless, if you like an action mix of Jurassic Park, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and X-Files, this book is worth a read.
Enjoyable
As an avid fan of the TV show Ancient Aliens, I enjoyed this creative take on UFOs and extraterrestrials. When a rogue agent from an alien species unleashes a chemical on the local fauna, it turns them into prehistoric monsters, and a secret branch of the military must battle not only the alien and his creation, but also a rival faction bent on recovering the alien technology for itself.
I liked the book at first but the plot was farfetched and as an Army Veteran i could not finish it.
Okay story but proofing got sloppy after 1st half of book
A good read.
Really good read
Somewhat predictable, and rather tending toward a juvenile, in my humble opinion [think Heinlein’s ‘juveniles’] still not horrible, and easily entertaining enough. I may, however, just be a bit jaded.
Well written and good pacing. I found it hard to put down. A good book if you enjoy this type of story.
