OH MY GOD…. IT DID NOT END THERE!!!!
Yup it did, a cliffhanger ending to frustrate and thrill my already over stimulated heart!
This book before I waffle on is a direct continuation from book one in the series “bad saint” so you really need to read that first before embarking on this.
It starts with a shock, it ends with a shock and everything in the middle will reduce you to an emotional mess!
I wasnt expecting to shed a tear, it was totally unexpected, and my poor heart splintered.
Willow undeserving of all shes been put through. Shes truly an innocent in a corrupt world.
Saint hes both good and bad, he walks that fine line between the two, and boy he does it so well you could almost say he struts!
Monica has blown me away with these two books and I cant wait for the third installment in this trilogy.
I dont want their story to end but I need my heart back!
SIX TIMES. In a span of two days, I have memorized each dialogue, quote and even the scene. I’m in such a stage that if you wake me up at midnight to discuss this book, I’ll be all too happy to enlighten you.
Monica James has been my favorite since Bad Saint. Afterwards, I had to read each book by her to take my mind off Saint but we all know, how impossible such a task can prove out! While Bad Saint was simply a set up to this mystified and chaotic Russian world, Fallen Saint, indulges you in its menage deeply. Irrevocably. Willow had been the strongest one here. If you *liked* her before, you’ll *love* her this book. It mulls over the unending battles of wit and will; freedom and slavery. Might I add, the great Saint falls head over in heels for our heroine? And why not, someone else shares mutual feelings. We get to see a whole new point of life of the mighty Aleksei Popov. He was dashing, smart, stupid, lovesick puppy yet the most gentle in this book. They say, what you see isn’t always what it’s supposed to be! This might be very true in the epic love triangle of SAINT – WILLOW – ALEKSEI
Whatever the case may be, the ending totally blew me off. There were so many scenes that made my heart bleed crimson tears. There were unknown emotions passed between our couple, that green luscious jealousy which made me squirm in my only seat. Fallen Saint is a book that you might never want to put down once you start reading it. Whatever Monica throws at me, it isn’t enough. I am both unsatisfied and content, riddle me on this one! Saint, a complicated man out for vengeance, has been the most complex character to be enjoyed by me. But even more so? I loved ALEKSEI. Darn, what was I expecting? I got something more ravishing on my place with these two hot holes! I was rattled, truly. I had to take a moment to compose myself considering all those ravishing feelings multiplying my insides. Such a sick power struggle, but oh so beautiful chaos! Fallen Saint has me fallen to my knees once and for all for this author. SHE.IS.THE.BEST! ALEKSEI.IS.MINE.
PS: Just in case anybody doubts my love for him, I’ll be having it written in flesh, soon! *evil smirk*
To everyone who reads this or are about to read it, good luck. Desolate yourself. This is going to be so much fun, I tell ya! For dark romance lovers, it’s a must have & read book. IT’S NOT A STANDALONE. You’ll need to read Bad Saint: Volume One to understand Fallen Saint.
NOW GIVE ME MY SAINT FOREVER
I have mixed feelings on this one. While there were parts of the story I did enjoy, there were parts that I didn’t. The dialogue didn’t flow at times, and some of the scenarios weren’t believable. I was expecting on the edge of your seat moments, and it just didn’t happen.
The will they or won’t they make it out from under Aleks clutches, did keep me turning the pages. Saint and Willow’s moments together still held a spark, and were very heated. Saint, although he has committed murders, he had to become this person first to save his sister, and then he has to continue to do what he has to for Willow. He has done bad things, but you can’t help but root for him.
A good read, but didn’t quite reach the level of love I have for Bad Saint. The cliffhanger did leave me wanting to know what happens next.
This Author with these Epic Cliffy’s!!!!…. AHHHHH!!!
This installment will have you on a rollercoaster of emotions, unable to comprehend what just happened or what comes next.
An Exceptional, “CAN’T GET ENOUGH”, story.
Loving it sobhard!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The story continues where the last book ended, 34 days into Willow’s kidnapping ordeal. After spending 24 incredible days shipwrecked on the island with Saint, they are eventually rescued by Aleksei Popov and placed onboard his luxury yacht, sailing back to Russia. Willow is once again treated as a prisoner and the reality of her situation truly sinks in.. she will never be a free person again and will always be just another asset to Aleksei; a pet to be used or abused at his discretion.
The chemistry that developed between Willow and Saint on the island was off the charts hot . They had both fallen so hard for each other, but unfortunately they will never be unable to act upon those feelings as she belongs to Aleksei and all he wants from her is to submit, obey and call him master. Alek soon discovers that Willow never does as she’s told, and Saint managers to convinces Alek to allow him to break her in and turn her into the perfect submissive.
I absolutely love watching the love-triangle that develops between Saint, Willow and Aleksei. There’s this constant push and pull between them and it is very obvious that both men have very strong feelings for Willow. But Willow only loves Saint and finds it very hard to submit to another man. Saint on the other hand reaches a fork in the the road, he has to decide what is more important to him… saving his sister and himself from a life of servitude or rescuing Willow. You’ll have to read the book to find out what he decides.
This book is sooo good and Monica did an excellent job with the storyline. It’s positively delicious, heart stopping, heart breaking and a definite page turner. I absolutely devoured this book and loved every minute of it! I even listen to the audio book while reading the e-book . I can’t wait to read the conclusion to this amazing series!
I Had A Dream & If I’m Being Honest, It Might’ve Been A Nightmare

What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
Second book in the trilogy. Willow is back in captivity. Now, she’s in the hands of Aleksei Popov.
I picked this up right after finishing Bad Saint. We find ourselves in a different setting than before. The stakes are higher. The men are crueller. But there’s also a mystery. Who is Aleksei Popov really? What makes him tick? Our Willow is a lil fighter in this instalment. She works well in a team. She works well solo. She is a woman in love and she will fight to protect the ones she loves.
I can’t say much about this outside of the fact that it was fast-paced and definitely more dramatic than book one. There is this strange dynamic between Alek and Saint that I need more of. ASAP. Things go down in book two and to be very frank with you, I almost cried in the final quarter. FOR REAL. I DON’T FREQUENT CRYING FOR CHARACTERS. I didn’t realize that I rooted so much for these characters until they were put in that dangerous situation. I will be picking up book three very soon because book two once again ended in a cliffhanger (AND A VERY PAINFUL ONE AT THAT!!!!).
I recommend this to people who like reading dark romance abduction, strong heroines and mysterious leading men who’ll melt your heart if you give them a chance.
Well, I utterly speechless. Suspenseful, addictive, drama, wonderful characters, beautiful, twists and turns, making you feel like a yoyo good.
Five fallen stars! An intoxicating read that will for sure leave you begging and dying for more!
And the craziness carry on ladies! Like a hopeless nightmare keeping you awake. Like darkness embracing your soul, destination unknown. That’s exactly how Fallen Saint feels. The second instalment in All the Pretty Things series is one heck of a crazy ride! My emotions liquefied slowly after my mind was blown away, killing me at a slow pace setting my heart on fire. Action, chaos, betrayal, steamy sex scenes, this book has everything and it broke me beyond repair. It is truly a dark romance that shines like a dark diamond. It is an obsessive tale, dangerous and lethal. It captured me from the first page and held hostage of my mind, soul and heart, keeping me in limbo. It goes from bad to freaking diabolical.
Monica James clearly has a dark bone and her writing proves that perfection could be improved. So addicting. So dangerous. So brutal. So unique. So twisted. She penned an extraordinary book, all my expectations were met. Willow and Saint have an intense chemistry that was unquestionable since book one and it carries on… raw and dangerous.
In this book there was a huge development in all the characters. There are a lot of pieces that make you question everything. Secrets are exposed. Feelings are growing baring their soul and revealing what was hidden. Every step they take, feels like going into unknown like there is something lingering in the darkness.
We finally get to know Aleksei Popov, a master puppeteer and leader of the Bratva mafia, the real monster behind the abduction of Willow, the real tormenter. It is clear that all are prisoners and paws in Aleksei’s game. We also get to know more about Zoey, Saint’s sister, who has played upon her brother’s protective need when all she wants is to keep being Alek’s personal toy. Both characters are insane and complex. They are the real monsters, screwing Saint and Willow in the most twisted ways. They are evil.
As the story goes on, there are more dangerous players in the game. Danger lingers around every one. Mystery mixed with unveiling a worldwide secret organization, plus power, corruption, vengeance, captivity and love. There is no way out.
If I thought, I was obsessed with Saint since reading Bad Saint, I didn’t know how deeply I could fall for him. Something is seriously wrong with me because I always fall for the bad boy. Maybe reading all those dark romances finally melted my brain (kidding ladies). His cruelness is the only kindness he shows. His cold and hot behaviour left me craving more of him. I can understand why Willow is too attracted to him. Saint is a cruel angel, a rough, hard and totally sinful monster who will break you if you don’t submit to him.
Saint will do everything to break Willow, to make he submit to him because he doesn’t have a choice but Willow will worm her way into his soul. She is fearless and braver than anyone and that fascinates him. His obsession will lead him to trouble. She will be his weakness and his strength. Feeling will grow wildly as their time in the island. Willow will do all to protect Saint even when she is only a pawn in the game where moral lines are blurred and destroyed. These two are a perfect match. An angel and a saint in a depraved world trying to survive and be free from darkness.
I can’t wait to read the end of what I say is the EPIC dark romance series I read over the year. Fallen Saint is a brutal tale, an intoxicating read that will for sure leave you begging and dying for more!
4.5 stars
Fallen Saint picks up where Bad Saint left off and Willow is finally in Russia. I thought the beginning of the book was awesome. I loved the deeper connection between Willow and Saint and I loved her strength and how hard she fought. My only small issue was the second half was a little boring at times and I thought the scene towards the end in Alek’s office was really cheesy but that didn’t take away my enjoyment of the overall book. Fallen Saint ends with another cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see how things end.
Talk about throwing me into a loop!!!
The sacrifices you make for blood, and then
the sacrifices you make for someone who
isn’t blood, but is like the air you need to breathe…
Saint is killing me with all he has to go through,
just to make sure the people he cares about are safe.
Even if he has to take the brunt. Geeezzz, how can you
not feel for the guy.
And Willow, she’ll do anything to save the people
that love her, but always with a backbone and a
moral compass.
And the one thing I wasn’t expecting AT ALL….Alek.
He was very unexpected, but I’m glad for it. Can’t wait to
to read “Forever My Saint”
Wow, wow, wow! Book one was sexy and thrilling, this book just gave more and more and I sucked up every word and devoured this book.
We continue from where book one finishes so that must be read before this one. Saint and Willow are now aboard Aleksei’s yacht and she’s a prisoner once more bound for Russia, where Aleksei’s will become her master.
The thought of that really scares her and true to herself, plans to escape are formed with the help of Saint.
This book has so much going on in it, there is never a lull. Although Aleksei is to be feared as he is the bad guy, like Willow, I did find myself liking him, but he is no Saint. Saint is still so strong and powerful and will do anything to save Willow.
There is so many twists and turns and the angst was still high, however, this was more of a dark/thrilling read, which I love. It was such a captivating read, very original and another cliffhanger that has me counting down the days until the final book is released.
This is a dark romance lovers dream book and a series not to be missed. Amazing writing James, your my new favourite one-clicker!

Oh my Saint! This book was such a mind-blowing experience I think I’m still shaken up from all the impact it had on me. My emotional status changed from scared, to hopeful, to devastated. I felt like I couldn’t catch a breath. But neither did Willow and Saint. Monica James put these two characters through hell, and frankly me too. But despite all that, I couldn’t put this book down for the life of me. It was such an addictive, dark and intriguing story! I bow to this incredibly talented author for not only coming up with plots and turns I did not see coming. But also for the great character development of her two main leads. I was already addicted to this series after book one, but Fallen Saint increased my addiction to the next level.
After being shipwrecked and stranded on an deserted island, Willow and Saint find themselves in the hands of mobster Aleksei Popov on their way to Russia. Both know that their situation is futile and in order to survive, Willow needs to play along and resume her role as a captive until Saint can form a plan. But Willow refuses to submit and be Alek’s new shinny pet. Which unfortunately intrigues her captor even more. Now Saint, the man who was once a sinner, is her only chance at freedom. But can Saint save himself too? Or is a man like him forever tainted by his dark past? After all, he’s Popov’s best killer machine and highly feared hitman.
When things are set in motion, truths will come to surface unexpectedly, making the lines between right and wrong blur. Willow knows she can’t succumb to the darkness, so she decides to do whatever is necessary to save her soul and the life of the man who holds her heart.
Gosh how much I loved Willow and Saint. These two were dynamite together! They don’t only share a scorching hot chemistry. They are also soul mates who complement each other perfectly. I loved watching Saint open up to Willow and showing her his vulnerable side that was deeply hidden under layers of masked indifference.
“You give me something to look forward to. You eclipse my darkness and make me want to embrace the light.”
I’m and will forever be a huge fan of Saint! But Willow was the one shining most in this book. No matter how hopeless her situation got, she never gave up and kept fighting. I admire her strength with all my heart and her willingness to sacrifice everything for love.
One person blindsided me the most in this book and it was Aleksei. Despite his many bad traits, he had some good ones too. That still doesn’t mean that I trust him. After all he’s a master manipulator of human emotions!
Considering that Fallen Saints ends in a huge cliffhanger, all I want to do now is to scream at Monica James and beg her for book three. The anticipation is already killing me, because I need to know how the story continues. I’m giving this dark, twisted and brilliantly written story 5 well deserved stars and putting it on my most favorite reads of 2019 shelf!
The wild ride of Saint and Willow, his angel, continues in book two of this trilogy.
The action moves to Russia, where Willow has been handed over to Aleksei, Saint’s boss, who ‘won’ her in a game of poker. Desperate not to become Aleksei’s slave, she clings to Saint who teaches her how to defend herself.
All does not go to plan as Aleksei begins to genuinely fall for Willow. The crime boss shows his weakness for her and in doing so, triggers a power struggle aimed at toppling him.
The action really rocks along throughout the book. People are crossed and double-crossed, alliances broken and formed and during all of this suspense and intrigue I found myself falling a little for Aleksei too. Who knew?
The end of the book had me gasping as the author has paved the way for book three to be the epic conclusion this series deserves. I cannot wait!
Fallen Saint, Book 2 in Monica James’ All The Pretty Things Trilogy, reinserts readers into the dangerous, deadly, and dire circumstances that Saint and Willow find themselves in at the end of Bad Saint, and while Saint has proven himself to be more of a saint than a sinner when it comes to protecting the woman he’s fallen for, their lives are still not their own; in fact, their next destination will not only test the growing bond between them, but Willow’s required submission to her new master, a man who will use her as he deems fit, will force tough decisions to be made, both for themselves and for each other, begging the question as to who Willow will truly belong to, both physically and emotionally, when everything is said and done.
Fallen Saint – that title alone insinuates that the situation that the main characters find themselves in has gone from bad to worse, which means that the path to freedom is almost non-existent. But what remains unclear is who, Saint or Willow, is the one who falls. Based on how Saint has already been characterized, readers know of some of his sins as well as his desire for atonement, and that fact seems to indicate that the one who is falling is the one who has lived in the light as a pure and innocent soul, incorruptible until she was put into a situation that redefined who she is at her core. Because in order to survive, in order to withstand the abuse she is bound to receive in her new existence, Willow has to let go of who she was before her kidnapping, before she was exposed to the reality of what people are willing to do for money and power, but in doing so, she also needs to make sure that she doesn’t completely succumb to the darkness.
Throughout the course of Fallen Saint, a few new and devious players enter Willow and Saint’s lives, and all of them seem to have their own agendas, even if the words they say out loud claim otherwise. It will do both Willow and readers good to remember the world in which the story takes place because it’s not one where anyone can keep their innocence or where honest people reside, so despite Willow and Saint’s desire to believe in the people who seem to have their backs, deception and double-crossing are both a part of the diabolical game that takes place between those in positions of power, so when everything is said and done, when all the twists and turns are played out, when characters are at their lowest and their weaknesses are more than obvious, and when even the most angelic characters fall from grace, absolution seems like an impossibility because sinners still pay regardless of their desire to repent.
I truly can’t begin to say where Willow and Saint’s story is headed in the final book, Forever My Saint. Despite the evidence that was revealed at the end of Fallen Saint, there are still too many variables to contend with, meaning that the characters finding peace in all that has occurred and what is likely to still happen is beyond improbable, but I can’t wait to see what James has in store for her characters and her readers come September.
4.5 Poison Apples
Son of a bitch… Ms. James….
. . . . . . . ?

This author, YET AGAIN, has gone and thrown me through a plot so mind-fuckingly beautiful, and insane, intense and fucked-up that she has left me speechless for days now. After Bad Saint (Book 1) fucked me up royally, me being the masochist that I am, was so eager and excited for round two of the mind fuck game with Fallen Saint, and let me tell you now… It is and that it’s anticipated to be.
I am not even sure where to begin, and I have been this way since the moment I finished the book. This isn’t just another dark romance to me. It’s a whole different ball game, and in all honesty, I cannot explain why. Maybe because this authors way of writing has a way of pulling me in deep enough that I feel like I am drowning, a way of making me feel everything that these characters are feeling too? This trilogy is different from her other work. It’s deeper, it’s dark and it is not a light-hearted read. I crave dark romances, I live for them. I don’t mind a soft read every once in a while, but I find dark romances if written right holds more substance for me, and this trilogy is proving to be doing just that.
, …..
Fallen Saint picks up where Bad Saint ended, and from the first page, it threw me deep into the story, again and had my head spinning like crazy. If you thought Willow and Saint had a rocky beginning in book one? Well, book two is about to fucking gut punch you over and over.
We’ve got Saint right? From the beginning, he is everything that his name isn’t. He is not Saint, he is a bad man, he is to be feared, but in this book, you start to see other sides to him. His love for Willow becoming more known, from his words to his actions. You can see what this one woman does to him… What he is willing to put on the line for this woman, and that… That made my heart swell, yet it was heart-breaking to read all in one. – .
Willow is at her peak in this book in my opinion. Her strength, her determination, her overall personality has grown in bounds. I loved her in book one… Granted, she had me bent out of shape at first, but now… I am in complete awe of this character. She is exactly what I look for in a heroine, and the author did her justice. . .
And, oh.. Did I mention that the author has gone and thrown me completely off and added in a love triangle like no other I have read before…
Aleksei is a man I wanted to hate, to loathe. . Seriously… I wanted to, I truly did… He was a violent man, a man to be feared, a man who I should of despised… But I didn’t. Something about him, something deeper within him called out to me, and I couldn’t help but fall for this character. Yeah, he was a shitty man… But there was another side to him, a side that was being overshadowed by the horrid man he was to everyone else. But I could see it, I could feel it… Through all his evil he still had a softer side and it had me so intrigued, had me feeling things for this man that maybe I shouldn’t, but I couldn’t help it… He was a perfect addition to what was already an amazing, fucked up, crazy and all-consuming plot.
I cannot even put into words how brilliant this author mastered this book, how flawlessly it was delivered. Just when I had thought I started to figure things out, the author goes and throws plot twists that left me strung out. . She slayed this, and there is nothing and I mean nothing that I’d change or would want to change about this story from where it’s started, where it is at and I am sure where it’s about to end up. I believe this author has found her true genre. I love her other work, but this trilogy so far is to date her best work yet. She deserves all the praises in the world.

and that ending?…. …
( ) !!!
–!
Oh wow…wow…wow…..this book is playing with my head, heart and soul.
Everything is so twisted, I don’t know who’s the bad guy anymore, I can’t tell apart between truth and lies. My heart racing with every chapter, wondering how they’ll survive this dark ugly world, and I can’t stop expecting something bad will happen. I was confused, frustrated, sad, and so in love. Yup it’s complicated yet so captivating and that’s why I love it.
If you’re looking for a dark romance read, this book and this series is a MUST-READ for you.
Fallen Saint was a highly anticipated read for me after the crazy ending in Bad Saint. And let me just say, OMG! This book is so intense! It’s packed with suspense and secrets, epic moments, and insane, amazing characters. I just can’t even deal with all the shit going down in the book. I will be on pins and needles waiting for the final book!
Nothing can prepare you for Fallen Saint! I didn’t think anything could top Bad Saint, but man was I wrong. Monica James brings the intensity to a whole new level, leaving you breathless and wanting more.
I didn’t think anything could top Bad Saint but Ms. James really did set the bar even higher with Fallen Saint. I was really looking forward to this book, and she took it to an entirely different level. This series was my introduction to Ms. James’ writing and I can not say it enough I WANT MORE!! This story is dark, sexy and emotional, and a complete page turner. Ms. James has a way of completely removing you from the real world and placing you right in the middle of this world she’s created. Absolutely a must read!! If you have not read Bad Saint DO NOT MISS OUT!!!! Hurry up and grab these books!! ABSOLUTELY A MUST READ!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!
OH MY GAWD! To say that I liked this book would be an understatement. I. LOVED. IT! I loved Bad Saint too, but Fallen Saint blew it out of the water. This was a captivating, quite heartfelt read that grabbed a hold of me and never once let me go. It was beautiful. It was intense. It was heart-wrenching. It was an all-consuming and addicting story that I could not put down.
I was completely enthralled by this brilliantly crafted tale. Monica James is a masterful storyteller, and the story that she has woven for us here is gripping, riveting and filled with all of the feels. My heart pounded and swooned, and nearly overflowed with the aching devotion between Saint and Willow whose chemistry burned so brightly and sweetly that is was impossible for my heart not to wrap itself completely up in them. Their story is absolutely epic and pure gold in my eyes.
I don’t want to give anything away, but suffice it to say I am positively dying for more of where this came from. In the end, this thrilling, astonishing, gritty and original story is an absolute must read. Please do yourself a favor and do not pass this one up. This series has catapulted this author to the top of my “Must Have Right Now” list. Well done Monica James!
