Just as this nightmare began, I once again find myself bound, destination unknown. However, this time, my kidnapper is the man who shattered my world beyond repair.Aleksei Popov—Russia’s number one mobster, and the man I was sold to.His intentions for me are clear—submit, obey him, and call him master—but I won’t surrender. I’m not like the other girls. Whether that’s a blessing or curse, I’ve … blessing or curse, I’ve yet to decide. The problem is, my disobedience intrigues my captor all the more.
When we arrive in Russia, the rules change.
Saint, the man who was once a sinner, is my only salvation. What was forbidden now gives me hope that there is light in the darkness. He will risk everything to set me free.
But behind these opulent walls, things aren’t what they seem, and when the fine line between pleasure and pain begins to blur, only one thing matters—saving my soul.
I will lie.
Cheat.
Steal.
I was once an angel, but now…I’m a fallen saint, ready to inflict my own pain and burn this hellhole to the ground.
FALLEN SAINT is a DARK ROMANCE containing mature themes that might make some readers uncomfortable. It includes kidnapping, captivity, strong violence, mild language, and some dark and disturbing scenes.
This twisted tale is not intended for the faint of heart…it will steal your soul.

After the way Bad Saint ended, I was excited to get my hands on Fallen Saint. Fallen Saint can not be read as a standalone, you must read Bad Saint first One if the first things I realized when I opened this one was that the story would not be ending in this one and it’s a trilogy not a duet. I have no idea why I thought it was a duet because looking at my review of book one I mentioned it had three parts but I when I realize it wasn’t ending with this book I had that oh no moment. I worried that there wouldn’t be even of a story line to have to hooked through this one and wanting a third book. But OMG, this one had me hooked and yes in the end wanting more.
I got emerged into the story when reading. Willow is super great strong character. I love her and Saint. This one is a battle for Saint and Willow and there are may twists I didn’t see coming. I really liked this one.
This book is a continuation of Bad Saint. It has you from the beginning to end. Your are taken on a wild ride. I was blown away with all the emotions that I felt while reading. Each page seem to bring a new surprise and twist. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book
Even a few days later after finishing Fallen Saint, I’m still at a loss for words.
This Story gets just better and better, and you don’t want it to end. AT ALL!!!
Willow is so tough, I adore her! Saint is phenomenal, Aleksei I can’t really pin
and Zoey is plain crazy lol….
This Story is so twisted and takes turns you would never guess!
I CANNOT WAIT for FOREVER MY SAINT
I graciously received an ARC by the author and l voluntarily left a review!
When I first started, I knew it was going to be good. What I read made me speechless, amazed, and utterly shocked. This treasure by Monica James has all the emotion, angst, devotion, and overall suspense and betrayal you have to expect from this author with this series. Now? Multiply it by 10, and you have this book. I cried and wanted to strangle each of the characters, not just Saint.
The authors words, ideas, situations, characters and overall story have completely stolen my heart as one of my top 10 reads of 2019. She presents you with a story that will absolutely BLOW YOUR MIND!! The secondary characters are amazing and you need them to help understand the story. The author created characters that were crucial to the story and keep you even more engrossed. I need to recover from this book hangover so I can get my greedy hands on Forever My Saint, which cannot hit my kindle quick enough.
This story has so many twists and turns, you better hold onto you seat. You’ll love every single thing this couple, story and the people around them and what they have to endure. It will keep your attention from the beginning of the book to the very last page. Just go read Bad Saint and then this book. Best money you’ve ever spent.
Saint and willow have had quite the story up to this point. It’s not over and the action, drama, deceit, romance, and overall story will leave you breathless and begging for more. Together, they are an unstoppable force of nature. But people are out to keep them apart. You have to read this story to find out what happens. It will blow your mind and leave you with a huge book hangover!!
I want to start out my review by stressing the point that I’m a hard one to please when it comes to trilogies (or anything longer than that, especially when it revolves around the same couple) My interest dies off after the second book because it is typically “filler” material. Nothing happens, the story hardly progresses, and it’s basically wasting my time. Like I said, I’m hard to please.
This series (trilogy) has earned its place in the hard to get on list of ones that did not kill my interest in book two. The story was explosive, the revelations gave me goosebumps, and everything else was flat-out amazing. You jump right into where book one left off. I fall even harder for Saint, Willow becomes someone I like more in this book, and Aleksei – well I’m not sure how to describe him. Man I love to hate? Man I hate to love? I guess he’s TBD at this point, it’s an edge of your seat kinda feeling as well.
I don’t know where this is going, and I don’t really care. It’s one I wasn’t expecting, and one I can’t get enough of. This is an instant classic and I know I haven’t even read the last book yet.
I don’t think I have words anymore and even if I had, none that I could use seem to make justice to this trilogy and mind you, there’s still one book left – so much can happen still.
Even though I wasn’t online much during my reading period and my feedback was small, it does not mean the experience was any less intense. On the contrary, as I was alone with the story, the characters and my thoughts, I lived this book deeper, if such thing is even possible.
Willow’s journey goes on and keeps us on the edge of our seats; her strength never ceases to amaze me – just like Saint’s kindness and altruism.
Both have come so far and it truly feels like I’ve been reading them for years now, or like I’ve literally spent every single one of these 92 days trapped alongside Willow.
Is it wrong that I don’t want to leave this cage, though? What does that say about me?
I’m still not sure. But I know what that says about these books: it says that, no matter what, you can’t miss them.
Monica James has magnificently created this entrancing tale, filled with captivating characters and unpredictable moments and jaw-dropping twists.
This preposterous, lavish, sinful world comes to life with every single word read and you. Just. Can’t. Stop.
And can we talk about Alek for a second? I shouldn’t like him, should I? Again, I really don’t know what that says about me and I believe that should be enough to clue me in, but I’m not the only one feeling lost, now am I? Not that I’d ever claimed to always be kind and able to see the good in everyone I meet like Willow does, but maybe, just maybe we all have a past and reasons for ours actions and behaviors… maybe Alek is just another lost soul. Oh my heart, I can’t…
And Saint… or sinner: my heart breaks every time his past haunts him. I wish I could erase it, whipe it clean, but that’s not how life works and all of it only makes him more worthy of all Willow’s purest feelings. He can’t change who he is, who is has become and Willow doesn’t want him to, either.
How will it all end?
For now, we wait.
And while we do that, I’ll try to figure out how the hell am I going to carry on once this trilogy reaches its conclusion. These characters found their way into my heart, mind and soul and I don’t think they’ll ever leave. I don’t want them to. I’ll have to prepare myself for the meltdown of the century when I no longer can read their words on the paper on a regular basis.
God help me.
*I received an ARC and I´m voluntarily leaving my honest review.*
A heartbreaking, passionate and full of betrayal novel. Saint is the bomb baby! This strange situation is further continued when Alexei the rich Russian that wants Willow as his pretty thing kidnaps her. Will Saint be her only salvation? I can’t wait for the next book as I couldn’t put this one down.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving a review.
4.5 stars–FALLEN SAINT second instalment in Monica James’ contemporary, adult ALL THE PRETTY THINGS dark, romance trilogy focusing on Willow Shaw, and thirty-three year old, Saint Hennessy. FALLEN SAINT should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events and cliff hanger of book one BAD SAINT.
SOME BACKGROUND: Willow Shaw was sold as a means to an end; a payment for a debt but a payment that offered so much more for our anti-hero, Saint Hennessy, who is battling to save not only his sister but the woman with whom he has fallen in love.
NOTE: Due to the story line content, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from first person perspective (Willow) FALLEN SAINT follows in the aftermath of Willow Shaw’s abduction, and her subsequent arrival in Russia into the hands of a drug lord known for his dalliances in human slavery, arms deals, and a potential member of a secretive group known as The Circle. With Willow’s safe arrival, and Saint’s meticulous care of his prized possession, Russian mobster Aleksei Popov offers Saint and his sister their freedom, as payment for services rendered. Leaving Willow in the hands of Aleksei threatens Saint’s barely veiled control of his anger, an anger he has directed at the Russian mobster. As Willow is prepared for her ‘coming out’ to The Circle, Saint prepares a surprise of his own. What ensues is the building relationship between Saint and Willow, as Willow slowly succumbs to Aleksei’s charismatic personality when left on her own.
FALLEN SAINT is an intriguing, captivating and seductive story; a Stockholm Syndrome-esque scenario wherein our heroine struggles between her head and her heart, not only with Saint but with her ultimate captor. A bird in a gilded cage, Willow begins to fall under the spell of the people controlling her life, a life that is no longer her own. A dark and emotional forbidden romance; an enemies to lovers relationship; a haunting tale of dark secrets, dangerous liaisons, manipulation, power and control.
Fallen Saint is the second book in the All the Pretty Things series by the ever-talented, Monica James. You CAN NOT read this one until you have read Bad Saint.
It’s been thirty-four days since Willow was kidnapped on her honeymoon. She was won by the devil and the devil wants his prize. He has no idea what he has gotten himself into. She isn’t a broken down and submissive woman. She spoke her truth and wouldn’t go down without a fight.
That’s really all I can say without spoiling anything. I will say that I loved it. If I wasn’t out camping with my family I would have read it in one sitting. I had to know what was going to happen next.
Overall…It’s dark, twisted, full of mindfucks with a twist of sweetness. It’s not a love story with hearts and flowers. I can’t wait for Forever Saint!!!
Quotes:
“And you challenge me. I like it because I can’t wait to see you break.”
“Teach me to be like you. Teach me how to fight.”
“Touch me again. I dare you,” I challenge, primes on gouging out his eyeballs.
I thought I was baffled by the first volume of this dark romance series Bad Saint because the level of this novel was excellent but I must say that Monica James provided a higher plot in this new volume . I thought that my heart was going to burst out due to the various twists. I became more and more attached to these two tortured heroes, dealing with their own demons, while discovering another character who will manage to surprise us.
Willow Shaw will have to fight again to stay alive while being once again held prisoner. Despite the epics she experienced in the first volume, she must now face Aleksei but not only him. The latter reigns over a sort of Russian mafia and Saint will have to adapt his plans to try to save the one girl for whom he now seems to have deep feelings. I am always so admirative of this female character because she will try to fight with the means she has while trying not to give in to darkness. Once again, she will be torn due to the bounderies between Good and Evil, but she knows that she can always rely on Saint to help her leave this cage. She will also discover a new enemy with Zoey Hennessy whom I wanted to slap continally. The tension between them will be strong but she will try to defend herself as best as she can. She didn’t choose the position in which she is and she is only a puppet in the hands of a man she can’t control. She will also have to show how intelligent she is by deciphering the help that Saint tries to bring her. Fate seems to take pleasure in making fun of her and she will once again have to grit her teeth and try to survive these new ordeals. Who can she really trust?
Saint Hennessy is a character I absolutely adore. Even if he will be less present than in the first volume, we feel that his presence remains in everyone’s minds. He will have to play his part without making the slightest mistake that could cost them a lot. He knows a lot of secrets about the world surrounding Aleksei Popov and it’s like he’s holding a grenade in his hand, ready to blow everything up. This man is so full of resources that we will be surprised more than once by the way things are going on. I have often been stressed throughout this novel because I feared for his life many times. He obviously has a sense of sacrifice and he has only one goal in mind: we will be aware of it from the beginning but we hope that it can lead to a positive outcome. He thinks he no longer deserves to be loved and he lost his “humanity” . However , in Willow’s eyes, it’s not true. We will also have a closer look at his relationship with his sister Zoey and it seems like he has to make a crucial choice at some point.
Aleksei Popov is also a character who will be highlighted in this new volume. I would have liked to tell you that I really hate him but I’d lie. Like Saint, he has “circumstances” that seem to explain why he is whoever he is. Either he is a wonderful manipulator, or he is really sincere about what he will reveal us. The doubt is obviously very present and I still can’t decide on him. I want to believe he is really sincere but at the same time does he deserve some redemption? He has dirty hands as Saint has and yet my forgiveness would be more easy for the latter. So I’m wondering what the future holds for him given the conclusion of this volume and I hope that we’ll be able to trust him. The complexity of this character is very interesting and I really want to know more about him.
Thus, the intensity of this dark romance goes up a notch and Monica James offers us a second volume even more awesome than the first one. I enjoyed my reading and I was very very afraid for our heroes. The questions are still very important, the doubts intensify and trust becomes more and more rare. This ending is just amazing and the twists in the plot are very well adapted.

Dear Monica,
Why don’t you just tear my heart out of my chest, stab it,step on it, set it on fire and put it back in my chest? It would hurt less than what you’re putting me through. My emotions are all over the place and I don’t know what to do with myself.
Sincerely,
Rubi
P.S. Hurry up and finish book 3. I’m not liking this cliffhanger.
What in the holy hell did I just read!?
Monica James really has a way with blowing your mind, not to mention making you question your own morals. I mean Aleksei!? What the fuck.
“To love someone, you have to be prepared to set them free.”
I can’t believe I somehow have to put into words what this book did to me. I mean, I couldn’t stop reading and when I wasn’t reading I would catch myself just thinking about where I left off and theorizing what was going to happen next.
I got stuck at about 80% in the book, not because it wasn’t good, but because I was so damn anxious about what was going to go down and how this book was going to end. I already knew it was going to be a cliff hanger I just didn’t know how bad it was going to be, but damn. I should have known to trust Monica.
“For every action, there is a consequence, and I will have to live with that every single day.”
I need book three pronto!
Ok, getting into what actually went down in this book. I can’t say a whole lot because, Major spoilers would happen, but what I can say is if you thought book two couldn’t get any more insane than book one, you’re dead wrong. The shit that goes down in this book had me on the edge of my seat scared shitless what was going to happen next, yet not being able to put the book down because i Had to know!
This is for sure one of those books that is so enthralling you just can’t/don’t want to put it down.
Anything you thought or theorized about in book one, throw it out the window now.
I thought the shit had hit the fan in book one, boy was I wrong.
Aleksei? Talk about there being more than meets the eye for this one. I’m not gonna say much on him, but just know you may not always fully hate him.
And Willow and Saint, they both have so many issues and thing’s to work through, but they are so perfect for each other. Getting to see the relationship development between these two in this one was SO good! I Freaking love them.
“And for that…I love him all the more. A love-struck Juliet smitten with her bloodstained Romeo.”
With all of that being said don’t be afraid to pick this book up, if you’re into dark reads, this is the series for you. These books are so good. Monica has done a phenomenal job with this one.
I loved everything about this book, the romance, the plot, the crazy twists and turns.
I am so psyched to see where Monica’s evil genius mind takes these characters and their story in the next book. I know it’s going to be just as phenomenal as the first two books.
“Fallen Saint” (All The Pretty Things Trilogy, Volume Two) by Monica James is a great read. I love Saint and Willow. Wow! This is a terrific addition to this trilogy and I’m anxious to see what happens next in “Forever My Saint: Volume Three.” I need more ASAP! This story pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend to all fans of dark romance, suspense, passion, twists and turns, and trilogies.
This series is seriously everything! My emotions have been taken on one heck of a crazy ride.Action, love, chaos, betrayal, steamy goodness…I swear my heart absolutely broke reading this.I’m a sucker for pain i guess because i cannot wait for book 3 of the series to release in september!I’m obsessed with Saint and WillowI will shout my love for this series to the world!!
Oh Saint, how you steal my heart!
From what was a fast-paced first instalment in this trilogy, part 2 continues in the same vein, with drama, excitement, hope, and frustration as Willow continues to be held against her will, this time by the enigmatic and dangerous, Aleksei Popov.
Saint works to ensure that Alek understands that he’s been working in support of him all along and not trying to find a way to release his sister and whilst keeping Willow out of his clutches, but despite trying to outwit his Russian counterpart, Saint finds himself one step behind Alek at every turn. Willow becomes more and more confused by her surroundings and by her captors and starts to question right from wrong as Saint and Alek both try to make her believe that their love for her is real and that their intentions towards her a truly honourable. Alek, the master manipulator, makes Willow see him not as a monster but as a misunderstood man with a painful upbringing and with Saint wanting Alek dead, Willow struggles to understand her feelings towards Alek.
It’s always hard reviewing a trilogy as you won’t want to give too much away but at the same time, you want to talk about what you have read and experienced in the book. What I can say is that this story continues to be dark and gives readers a feeling of falling ever further down the rabbit hole alongside poor Willow. Some of the scenes, for me personally, seemed a little too shocking on this occasion but as you read on, you come to realise that all may not be as it seems in relation to those Willow meets whilst still in captivity. The ending is even more explosive and ensures readers will definitely want to read on.
Whilst I am enjoying the story, I do struggle with duologies and trilogies as I always struggle to re-capture the initial magic and whilst my reading interests have gone in a different direction at present, I did manage to quickly re-engage my love of this story and it’s characters so that is a big plus for this book.
As before, this is an extremely well-written novel. The balance between drama and intrigue continues to hold my attention and I can’t wait to see how the trilogy concludes.
I was left without words after reading Fallen Saint, because how will I put into words everything I just read? All the feels? This book completely enthralled me!
FALLEN SAINT is OUT-OF-YOUR-MIND FANTASTIC!
When I thought things would go left, they went right. Over and over again, I couldn’t pinpoint exactly what would happen next and that throw me out of my game so many times I can’t even count, making the reading so much more delightful!
Now… I won’t delve into the story, but expect lots of nail-biting-suspense because Willow isn’t one to stay low and wait!
Do I recommend this series? HELL, YEAH! I can’t wait for everyone to read it!
Please start with Bad Saint or else you wont understand Fallen Saint.
September can’t come fast enough! I need all the answers!
This is not my first or my last read from Monica James. She can literally write ANYTHING from emotional and heart-breaking stories, to rom coms, to dark romance. That being said you NEED Saint and Willow in your lives ASAP!
Fallen Saint is book 2 in All The Pretty Things trilogy and IT IS NOT a standalone, you MUST read Bad Saint first.
Book two picks up right where Bad Saint ends. Willow is right back where she started. Held kidnapped on a yacht, destined for Russia. Willow is a fighter. Given everything she experience in book one and the emotions that she felt, those continue in book two and only seem to escalate. Saint. That man. There is so much more to him that meets the eye and as the story continues more and more layers of this man are revealed and more and more you begin to love him.
The chemistry between Saint and Willow continues to escalate and let’s just say it is EXPLOSIVE at times. I completely LOVE these two. The levels Saint is willing to go to protect Willow, to get her out of this mess is admirable. I never thought I would say this but I love Alek, despite being the reason Willow was kidnapped, there is a lot more to the man. Though, all that could be a lie. You never know.
This story was so so so much more than I could have ever hoped for and expected. I loved every single word of it. I was completely sucked in to the story, so much so that I may have been yelling at my kindle and wanted to throw it across the room when I got to the end.
Bravo to Monica James for taking the plunge into the dark romance and for COMPLETELY destroying the hearts (in the best way possible) of every single reader possible with Saint and Willow’s story. If you have not started this series, it is MUST READ!
The first thing I have to say about this series is I’m addicted. I can’t get enough, and I’m just too impatient to wait for the next book.
This book left me on the edge of my seat, caused me anxiety and left me wanting more. Another “can’t stop reading book”.
Ugh, I even started to like the bad guy, but then again they are all bad in some way. This book has so many elements and changing emotions. It is packed with action, edge of your seat suspense and a unconventional love story.
Monica James just crafts a tale that keeps you interested and wanting more. I’m so looking forward to the next and final book in “All the Pretty Things” trilogy.
There is no better way then to spend hours reading this amazing journey by a summer camp fire. The perfect summer read. I devoured this 5 star story. In a matter of a few hours. This is not a standalone but part 2 of a trilogy. Bad Saint must be read first.
This is the continuation of Willow and Saint’s journey. Variables are being included in their paths. This is a darkish, suspenseful entertaining master piece.
I was sucked in deep of the heart of these characters storylines. Fallen Saint is an amazingly written continuation that left me speechless and puzzled. When I read the last few pages, I was like WTF is going on. Some questions were answered and more were formed. Characters that I wanted to hate but came through and made me question myself once more.
There was never a dull moment. Every word and phrase had it’s purpose to be. It’s an highly addicting story, so hold on tight and enjoy the bumpy ride that will leave the readers breathless and wanting more. This is a page turning, unpredictable story.
I strongly recommend this trilogy. Start with Bad Saint first and Forever My Saint is coming soon.
