New series from a new to me author, great start! This book should come with a warning label, “Do not start reading at bedtime”. Molly is a strong, independent woman who is fiercely protective of her sister. Luca, the eldest son of the assassinated mob boss, alpha, and determined to protect what is his. The book is well paced, has drama, and great turns. The chemistry is sizzling between these two. The Varasso brothers have more books in store for us and I cant wait. Well done!
I received a copy from Bad Boy Update and this is my honest review.
Luca takes control of the family
Fallen Knight is book one in the Varasso Brothers series, well after the prequel. This is the story does pick up where Devil’s Pawn ends with Luca now the head of the Varasso family after his father was killed. He now has to step up and make the hard decisions while working with his brothers to keep the family together and make them stronger.
This is a very well written book with a story-line filled with emotion, drama, mystery, suspense, tragedy and of course a lot of passion.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
I received the ARC from Bad Boy Update. I love a dark Mafia romance and Luca and Molly’s story is just that! They come form completely different worlds but some comments about a man she really doesn’t know puts her on Lucas radar. The only good thing in Lucas life is his daughter, especially after he father is killed. I love Molly’s snark and how their attraction is quick and intense. There is tons of intrigue, drama, family issues, and the chemistry between Molly and Luca is off the charts! I am loving this series!
This is the first book in the Varasso Brothers Series and this book features Luca. He’s part of a big crime family from the Philadelphia area. If you like mafia romances you’ll love this book. It’s fast paced and full of action. A little dark, a lot steamy. Luca and Molly will set your Kindle on fire. Lots of family dynamics and explosive chemistry. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat. It was well written with strong characters and an engaging plot. I read an arc from Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review.
This was such a fantastic read with great character and plot development that as each and every page was turned I felt like Molly and Luca kept me totally wrapped up in their story as it unfolded!
I could not put this book down until I had consumed every page! This is the first book of Sophia Reed’s The Varasso Brothers which focuses on Luca, who becomes the mob boss of the Philadelphia Varasso mafia family after his father’s assassination, and Molly, who he must deal with following her disrespect to his father. I recommend this well written edge of your seat read with its complex and flawed characters and intriguing plot filled with tragedy, emotions, suspense, and sizzling passion. The next installment in this series is entitled Cruel Prince.

This is the first book about the Vorasso family and reading the prequel is a must. What superb characters and a fantastic storyline. I feel so sorry for Luca but he finds solace in his daughter. What is going to happen to Molly? This book is full of surprises and definitely a page turner.

This is a dark mafia romance. This is the 1st book in this series. Luca is the head of the mafia family. What will happen when Molly makes fun of one of the mafia men ?

These book are excellent and there is nothing to complaint! You can’t get tired reading anything written by this author!!!
I read this immediately after finishing the prequel, “Devil’s Pawn”. This book continues on with Luca who I met in the prequel. This book is mesmerizing and a definite page-turner. The plot is fantastic, and I loved the characters and how Luca has developed through this story. If you enjoy dark mafia romances, then grab this book and this series.

My first read from the author and I must say for a mafia romance, it quite tame.
Molly Green is your average working girl. After her father’s went to prison and her mom died, she has done anything to keep her sister and her self save and not hungry on the street. She’s done anything to shop lifted to selling her self for a measly $50 until one man compassion change their life to the better. Now, she’s an ex private chef after dunkin her pasta sauce on to her employees brat daughterso, doing some YouTube rant would be justified, right?
Not if she mention a well known billionaire and make fun of him without knowing the man is the head of a mafia family.
Luca is the first born in Varosso mafia family. When his father gunned down in their house by another mafia family allegedly for being a thieft, Luca take the crown and become the head of family.
And now Molly is his responsibility also.
Now, reading the blurb, I was intrigued. Mafia romance have their own appeal from the vicious, blood, dominant men, and family loyalties. But this book, it’s slow pace for me. During 50% or so, I know who’s the real villain is and what the evil plot is and that’s not fun.
I like to be keep on edge with my books, and I don’t get it here.
And the steamy scenes? The author keep saying earth shattering, mind-blowing experience, but I don’t get it. She only say he take her. The deed was done. No steamy details written down. I’m dissapointed. I love my steamy scenes goes details. Not for the sake of me being in the gutter. But for me those steamy scenes capture the characters mood. Without the author stating how earth shattering their love making. I want to feel that earth shattering moment, not being told.
For the characters, I love Luca. He got that dark mafia man but so sweet and gentle specially with his daughter. But when he goes back and forward with Molly, I really wanna smack his head real bad.
And Molly, she’s not a damsel in distress. I like that. She’s tough with sassy mouth but smart. She know when to shut her mouth and not be that annoying brat.
Overall, like the characters. Wanna read more from the brothers. Need more from the chemistry department
