Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs Book 1 The Montgomery Ink series continues with a spin-off in Colorado Springs, where a familiar Montgomery finds her place in a new tattoo shop, and in the arms of her best friend.
Adrienne Montgomery is finally living her dreams. She’s opened a tattoo shop with her brother, Shep, and two of her cousins from Denver and she’s ready to take the city by storm with … she’s ready to take the city by storm with her art—as long as she can handle the pressure. When her new neighbors decide her shop isn’t a great fit for the community, however, she’ll have to lean on the one person she didn’t expect to fall for along the way…her best friend.
Mace Knight takes pride in two things: his art and his daughter. He knows he’s taking a risk by starting over in a new shop with the Montgomerys, but the stakes are even higher when he finds himself wanting Adrienne more than he thought possible.
The two fall fast and hard but they know the rules; they can’t risk their friendship, no matter how hot it is between the sheets and how many people try to stand in their way.

Friends to lovers story. Everyone knew they would be good together but the couple. It was funny and witty but I just didn’t get all into the characters.
Love Carrie and her inked Montgomery clan romances! Always an entertaining read!!
Carrie Ann Ryan and her Montgomery clan never disappoint!
I always thought being best friends first made a great couple. And this girl rocks!!!! She should have busted both his balls. You do not mess with MIT and family.
In this story Adrienne Montgomery and Mace Knight get their HEA! I enjoyed the story but after awhile I was just ready for them to get together in a relationship. I understand they didn’t want to mess up their friendship, but their reasoning just seemed redundant. Finding out who was behind the problems at the shop was a little slow moving for me. Not my favorite of the series but still a good read.
I freaking love Carrie Ann Ryan’s books. And for some reason, I’ve fallen behind on the Montgomery Ink books and I’m really disappointed in myself for that.
I loved this book. I loved the friendship Addie and Mace had. I loved how they were there for each other through thick and thin. It didn’t matter if they fought or were on the outs, they were there at a moment’s notice.
I loved seeing Mace step into being a full time single dad. He would do anything for his daughter, even when it wasn’t what he wanted for himself. I’ll admit, he did tick me off when he thought that his daughter was getting too attached to Addie. While I’m not a parent, the reason this bugged me is because she was already close to Addie. And yeah, they were spending a little more time together, but nothing had really changed between Addie and Daisy. Addie didn’t come in and try to be Daisy’s mom.
This book really was awesome. Addie was dealing with a lot of stuff. A new business, the business being threatened and her best friend turning into more. I loved seeing more of the Montgomery family, and the other branch of it.
Outstanding continuation of the series. Keep them coming.
Adrienne and Mace! They may just be some of my favourite people right now! You could see the love between them but they seemed to be blind to the true meaning of that love. I truly enjoyed the journey that they took us on! Ups and downs, a few slips that almost end things, but Love always finds its way! Amazing read!
Montgomery Ink has a second location in Colorado Springs, welcome to Montgomery Ink Two (MIT), which brings us all new Montgomery’s to fall in love with. We start off this new series with Adrienne Montgomery and her best friend Mace Knight.
I really enjoyed getting to know this new group of Montgomery’s, Adrienne is a strong woman who will go for what she wants and deal with the consequences as they arrive, and what she wants now is her best friend Mace. Addi opens MIT along with her brother, the original MI owners are happy to see their shop expand under the ownership of their cousins. The new shop has some angst surrounding it, but the true angst comes from Mace and his daughter Daisy, who his ex drops off at his home a day before she leaves for Japan for work. YIKES! Being a part-time dad isn’t easy but things get a whole lot more complicated when Mace becomes a full-time single dad.
The chemistry was great, the plot was good, and all the characters are likable. If you enjoy a friends-to-lovers romance with a bit of angst you’ll enjoy this read. Be warned that although this series can be read on it’s own you’ll probably fall in love with all the Montgomery’s and want to read the original series as well.

M/F Friends-to-lovers romance
This is a spin-off series that starts off with a bang. Adrienne is undertaking her very own shop. She is a talented artist and has a huge family who wants her to succeed. In taking this on, she also brings along her best friend, Mace. He is also a talented artist. Adrienne is a tough woman who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. When someone starts to sabotage her shop, she will stop at nothing to fight for her right to be there and be a success. When her heart is thrown into the mix, despite the hot chemistry that she has with Mace, she knows and is unwilling to compromise when it comes to love.
Mace is an enigma. He is a dad who is allowed to see his daughter on the weekends until he is thrust into being a fulltime, single parent. His story is somewhat disjointed for me and it was very jumbled. When his feelings for both his daughter and Adrienne become jumbled too, I found it to be somewhat juvenile. Despite knowing that he was developing feelings for his best friend, he shied away from a full-fledged relationship. Mace even sees how devoted Adrienne is to his daughter and to him, and despite that, he still puts up these strange barriers.
Will Adrienne convince Mace that their friendship won’t suffer in order to have it all, and will her shop be saved or condemned in its new location? The family surrounds these characters and the story is a sweet romance.

I found Fallen Ink a very enjoyable read – it’s a great friends-to-so-much-more romance with just the right amount of humor that I didn’t want to put it down.
Adrienne has just opened a tattoo shop in partnership with several of her family members in Colorado. Adrienne ropes her best friend, Mace, into joining their tattoo shop team and things begin to heat up between the two. They both feel the chemistry but aren’t willing to chance their friendship being ruined by letting things get serious between them. When life throws a curveball Mace’s way, Adrienne is there to help him catch it and their relationship turns from friends to so much more.
This book is filled with sexual tension and a ton of laughs – I loved that! I also really love that Adrienne and Mace are a couple that laugh together both outside and inside the bedroom, it wasn’t your usual steamy scenes and I really enjoyed it. I also love that though Mace almost ruins things between he and Adrienne, she is quick to forgive him and move on – like adults. I feel that sometimes issues in books get drug into something more and this one just felt more realistic. I highly recommend this one and I’m excited to see more from the series!

Well… it didn’t really grab me the way I hoped but wasn’t a bad read either. I liked the budding romance of the best friends, Mace and Adrienne. Mace becoming a single father on the fly was a nice addition to the story, but what the heck is going on with his ex? There’s some vandalism and issues with someone trying to sabotage the tattoo shop but nothing ever stuck or came from that plotline.
I found myself skimming a little more than I like to due to too much mundane detail and inner monologue. Mace had some great pillow talking skills and there were many steamy stolen moments in closets and such that kept me reading, but really that was about all that held my interest.

This book didn’t grab me the way I hoped it would. The romance between Addi and Mace took a few left turns and the misunderstandings between people who had been friends for so long didn’t make sense.
The issue of starting a new business and the vandalism of the business added a twist to the story that didn’t seem to fit with the premise.
I definitely want to see where the next book in the series takes us.

This is a new series – but spinning off from the very popular Montgomery Ink books… so a perfect pedigree!
As we reconnect with a number of familiar faces and catch up on the latest news, it is also time to start a new adventure – and for Adrienne this means her own shop, working with her brother, Shep, and also her BFF, Mace. Only thing is that an unguarded comment to him leads to a passionate encounter that neither of them can forget – and they are not even sure they want to!
Drama comes in three forms… the huge issue of going from BFF to lover, and whether that can possibly work, and what if it doesn’t? Mace is handed his daughter by her mother, as she leaves for another country, causing him to suddenly be a fulltime dad. And someone in the vicinity of the new shop is out to cause them all the trouble he can until they leave. It all unfolds in ways which have to be read to be enjoyed, but I loved how everything tied together. I felt that Mace forgot some of the importance of best friends, but it wasn’t entirely surprising given the maelstrom in his situation with his daughter. He did however pull it out of the bag just in time to save himself from some major Montgomery wrath! Wise man for sure.
Adrienne is lovely from the very first page – totally badass softy, loyal, sexy, and devoted to her family. She deserved all the pleasure that she got… lucky lady!
Good read, perfect escapism, thank you, Ms. Ryan.

I love a great friends to lovers read, and this one didn’t disappoint!!! The fun and banter between Mace and Addi made their sexy scenes even steamier. I loved that Addi wasn’t afraid to lay it all on the line when the time came, and that there wasn’t a whole lot of head games. This book had the perfect amount of suspense, and will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what will come next. A fantastic start to this new spinoff series that I would definitely recommend!!!
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Adrienne Montgomery has me thinking of Kat Von D – you go girl. Was a big fan of her show and that just added to my excitement to read Ms. Ryan’s latest Montgomery Ink series. The cover was a great incentive as well. Mace Knight gets the surprise of his life. They share a common respect and the same type of job. How could anything go wrong?
This series is a reminder of the show that I can no longer see. I was a serious fan of the Ink Master series until I got my fix cut off. But I keep my fingers crossed for the day I will get to watch again. In the meantime, I can sit back and enjoy reading about it and having this author as the artist makes me very happy.
The characters here compliment each other, well except for a couple of secondary characters. Anyone working in Adrienne’s shop I can see as a cast member in my favorite show – can you imagine. It would be interesting to watch what masterpiece they might put on their canvas. I really enjoyed the sense of family with this one and that carried on throughout the story. But it made me mad that there was someone who didn’t like them just because their art was on a different type of canvas. It kept my attention because I wanted to see how that agenda played out. And my happy dance came out when I saw that my summer will get better when the next book in the series will be here.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Brand new series from Carrie Ann Ryan. This is the first of Colorado Srings if you’ve ever read her Montgomery Ink you’ll be familiar with the characters in this one but regardless you don’t have to have read them. This is a complete stand alone and no other reading required.
This is Adrienne and Mace’s story. Adrienne has opened a new tattoo shop in Colorado Springs and her best friend Mace is working at the shop with her. They’ve been best friends forever and rely on each other for many things. They couldn’t imagine a world without the other.
Things begin to shift once problems begin to arise at the new shop and stressors start coming out of the wood works for both of them. They turn to each other for something to ground them to take away the stress and the heat and chemistry begins to build and becomes to much for them to withstand.
Overall well written, great flow, complete storyline. Another amazing story written by the author that makes you count the days until the next one. Highly recommend this to everyone.

This is the first book in the Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs series and what a fantastic start to this new series. This is a friends to lovers romance that is packed full of angst, drama, and some seriously hot and sexy scenes. Adrienne and Mace have been best friends all their adult lives but all it takes is a rainy night and getting wet for these two to realize their feelings run so much deeper. As disruption and chaos comes to the tattoo shop that Adrienne and her brother Shep own, along with Mace gaining unexpected custody of his daughter, life gets complicated for these new lovers. Their story made me laugh, cry, swoon and at times Mace frustrated me beyond belief but ultimately it made me fall in love with this couple and the latest additions to the Montgomery Ink family.
FALLEN INK was freaking awesome! The Montgomery’s are back and they are bringing Ink to Colorado Springs is a new series that I so enjoyed. Adrienne “Addi” Montgomery is opening a new Montgomery Ink, but things are not going fully as planned. There is someone out to shut them down and Addie has figured out that she is letting life slide by.
Unfortunately, attraction is also brewing between her and her best friend Mace Knight, and that is causing additional issues. Friends should remain friends, especially if they work together. But passion will not be ignored and when they give in the results are explosive! But Mace has his own issues, such as turning from a dad with visitation to full-time dad at the drop of a hat.
Dang but can Carrie Ann Ryan spin a tale of angst and passion! The push and pull between Mace and Addie was great to read. The mystery of their troubles played out through the whole book and ended with a bang! I really liked Addie. She is not a push over and is very strong in both personality and ambition. But she also has her vulnerable side as well. And Mace is luscious! At times dominant and dirty and then sweet and tender. Totally sigh worthy. I think I have just fallen back into love with the Montgomery’s and I am so looking forward to seeing what comes next to this series.

I fell in love with the new Montgomery series. Fallen Ink was a great way to meet some new characters which I am sure will be near and dear to those of us who have read the other Montgomery books, but will also attract new fans. I love Mace. He is a great guy who wants to do what is right, even if he goes about it the wrong way sometimes. His daughter is the number one person in his life with his best friend Adrienne coming in a very close second. Adrienne is strong and determined opening a new tattoo parlor with her best friend, her brother and one other tattoo artist. They find themselves up against some hard odds as they are not welcomed by all in the community. Slowly Adrienne and Mace find that they could possibly be more then just best friends. Both are afraid to loose what hey have in the moment for what could be the best thing for their future. As I don’t want to give any of the good parts away, I will leave this with saying both of them are going to have to work hard and look inside themselves to find a love worth risking their friendship for. Another great book by Carrie Ann Ryan and I definitely recommend for first time readers and those who have been along for the whole ride.
4 1/2 STARS FOR FALLEN INK!! Another fantastic book by this phenomenal author. This is going to be another great series. I loved seeing Adrienne and Mace’s story play out. This book has all the feels you look for in a romance story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
I was sad when the Montgomery Ink series ended. Then Carrie announced that she will have a new spin off series about the clan from Colorado Springs!!! I dived into this book knowing it would take some of my heart with it. Mace is all I can think about now that I finished. Adrienne and I could be best friends. This book makes you feel as if you are in their world getting to know them.
As expected, The Montgomery’s are still all heart. They take care of their own and anyone who is close to the family. Through Adrienne, Mace is pretty much family. He loves his daughter and loves his work. You can feel the friendship between Adrienne and Mace and I instantly wanted these two to become more. To be in love with your best friend is magic and these two have it!
The heat factor was combustible!!!! I mean WOW. I was a bit overheated after those scenes 😉 Fallen Ink is a perfect book to get lost into! I can always count on Carrie Ann’s stories that will have my full attention from beginning to the end. I love the new Montgomery characters from Colorado Spring. They are different yet familiar. I can not wait to see what rest of the family will bring!
*I was gifted this ARC from the author and freely give my review*
This book was amazing and this is why:
* Very good storyline with a progression that was just right in my opinion
* The characters is described with a lot of feelings and they are realistic so I can relate to them and their challenges
* I have a soft heart for friends to lovers stories because there is a connection that’s unique when it’s well written and this is very well written. The connection between Adrienne and Mace was intense from the beginning
* There’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings and dialogues is plenty, meaningful and witty
* Secondary characters made very curious about their stories so I’m tempted to read the books about them too
* Love scenes, what can I say:*fanning myself*
* OMG, I think this book has the best grovel so far I’ve read. Mace is the master of grovel.
I want to read the rest of this series and also the series before this because the author has managed to create a wonderful world to disappear in………
5 stars
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. I freely leave this honest review. An awesome spin off series start! Adrienne is a contrast of boldness and vulnerability and so much fun to read about. When attacked she actually busted the guys dangly bits! I was cheering her on! This is a hot, heartfelt tale that you will fall for.
