Jesse’s back in this exciting sequel to . Grieving over the loss of a loved one to terrorists, Jesse’s been holed up on his island home for months, numbing his mind and body with endless, mundane tasks.
A friend comes to him asking Jesse to help her dad who’s been pressured into running drugs for a Cuban smuggler. Jesse finds out the smuggler is also an arms merchant for Hezbollah, the … merchant for Hezbollah, the terrorist organization responsible for the death of someone close. Once again, Jesse looks to settle the score.
Fast boats, beautiful underwater scenery, and blazing guns abound in this fast paced romp through the Caribbean, with stops in Cuba, Key West, and Cozumel, Mexico.

Enjoyed this one as much or more than all the earlier ones. Well done,
Pretty much a run of the mill action shoot-em-up story.
It’s well written and has somewhat less than average plot holes.
Enjoyed it, but am not likely to read more of the series.
I have enjoyed four books in the “Jessie McDermott” series by Wayne Stinnett. Reminiscent of the old “Travis McGee” novels by John D. MacDonald. Good characters and lots of heroic action.
A great series set in the Florida Keys with an awesome set of characters.
It started off nicely enough…some pace but then totally bogged down mid-book. Relationships, people talking, blah, blah, blah. Where did the plot disappear to? Oh look, it’s back….not that it was that good. Another observation: here’s a guy who just lost his new wife only 4 months ago but there’s no grief, mourning, self-loathing…nothing. He …
Great series!
Great Book
Don’t waste your time.
just a flat out Good Read!
Wayne S does it again and again and again.. another of his great reads.. this one, like others actually worth a second read.. wait I did that already
I anxiously await books from this author, since he’s built a world around his main character. I want to know what happens to him. And his world in the Florida Keys comes alive in the books – as does his relationship with family and friends.
I throughly enjoy Mr Stinnett ‘s writing and Gunny’s adventures. There’s always something new happening and, like Louis l’Amour, I trust the islands are there, the technology exists and the characters are (mostly) realistic. But…
He really needs another set of eyes to keep from having one boat at two locations with two sets of people at the same …
Want to read the rest of the series.
Plenty of action in a wonderful Florida Keys setting. Lots of technical info on boat handling and fishing.
8th Fallen series are all good books to read.
Very injoyable to read
Peaked my interest and continued to do so from start to end.
I love this series of books. Jesse McDermitt is my favorite character.
I like this series a lot. The characters are believable, and the storytelling is great. I’ve actually read this one twice a few months apart. It says something about the book that, although I realized I’d read it and knew the ending, I re-read it anyway. Looking forward to the next one!
Wayne Stinnett needs to write faster. I am waiting on the next installment. Write Wayne write.
