I loved the character interplay. I could actually see this happening sometime in the distant future.
Loved it great bit of space opera! Interesting characters and good story line
Loved the books.
The best spaced themed book if read since Star Wars. What an amazing story. All characters are great and well crafted. Is interesting to see such a mixed group of people all with conflicting agendas working together and developing a relationship. The inner conflicts are very well explored and not at all boring. In fact the main character as a particular kind of humor that I find very amusing.
I was hoping this would be only a trilogy, but I was mistaken, the story goes on, and I belive the best may be yet to come.
I advise to read the 3 books colection, as it brings a middle story.
It is also the best way to read the story, as you will find it hard to stop.
Can’t wait to see what’s next myself!
I recomend this as a great young adult fiction. It is a really fun read. It’s almost “action packed.” Trems and technical jargon are simplified and descriptions are within the easy to understand vocabulary.
I have read all of Lindsay Burokers books, and this is just a small collection. She builds very developed characters that you can bond with and almost feel they are your friends. I’m not your usual fantasy reader as I am the grandmother to 7 ranging from 11 – 29 years. There is so much hatred going on in our country that I find this as my escape from all the negative news.
If you liked the Serenity crew on the TV series Firefly, you’ll love this book
Enjoyed the entire series. Look forward to the next saga where the children run things and see how convoluted Lindsay can make things. Fun, action packed light reading is great to get away from work. Definitely would recommend. Who knows, Lindsay may think of some technology that will be used in the future.
fun and fast read.
Loved it
Love syfy!
I really enjoyed reading the whole series, bought them all. Have reread acouple and will do so to all again, always pickup more details as 1st is the adverture of the thrill in space and beyond.
Love this series!
Held together through out the books
A poor read. Things “just always work out”. Yawn x 2!
This is a great series and inspired me to buy additional Lindsey Buroker books.
So far, I’ve loved everything I’ve read by Ms. Buroker.
Enjoyable books, the characters were interesting and drew you into knowing what was going to happen in their lives. Interesting twist on the cyborg life. Led you to believe that they could be honorable instead mindless killers. The captains quest to find her daughter made me want to read on to find out if they will meet again. Well worth the time involved in reading over 2500 pages.
Non-stop space opera. These yarns have to be just about the most fun reading I’ve had in a long time. Funny dialog/banter between characters, tons of action that is seemingly both believable and improbable at the same time. Actually it is hard to believe how the characters stumble from one mess of trouble to the next without losing 1)sense of humor, 2) lots of body parts, and 3) their minds. The author has created quite a universe and throws in several side stories just to keep the reader intrigued. Very much worth reading ’cause it’s fun!
So good it sucked me into buying the rest of the series, and I’m almost done. Just as happy with rest of the books as I was with these first three.
