*Warning-This book is Reverse Harem and contains sexual situations and coarse language. Recommended for readers 18 years and older. Evie’s just turning 18, and her life is about to change in so many ways. She’s made a decision that she’s going to move away from her parents, who have abused her for years. She’s still in high school, though, and has to deal with the drama of that. Everything is the … Everything is the same, until the day four new students arrive at school. The four new students teach her about a hidden world that she’s subconsciously known about her whole life, but had no idea was real.
Fallen Elemental draws the reader into Evie’s world, where she learns about the powers that elementals have. The reader also follows along as she deals with cliques at school and bullying from malicious teenagers. It is a great book for everyone who ever has felt like a reject in today’s world.
Travel along with Evie as she learns about her past, about her powers, and about the meaning of love and that it has no limits.

An interesting plot line that drew me into the story, I saw a few other people mention how the author made the MC a “baby machine” and weren’t happy about it. Personally I see this differently, I’ve read many many books and this is a common theme it’s just not as obvious in most. Generally the book follows that special child, in this case it follows the mother before the child is made and has been done before.. Sometimes the mother even surpass what is to be her destiny and completes the legacy of what the child will do leaving the child’s destiny moot. I thought the book was good and well paced. There’s a solid beginning foundation being laid for the series to stand on, though I fell the story is isolated as the main character has little interaction with an other Elementals than her current 4 bonded and the abusive adoptive parents.
The plot had a solid basis but there are some issues with this story.
1) I get the bullying playing into the character development but… Her quick acceptance of the situation is kinda “stockholmy”. For someone that had learned not to trust, this seems rushed for the sake of moving the storyline along.
2) There is a repetitiveness to word usage throughout the book as well as what the character’s are doing. For example, one character repeatedly is found drinking tea. Not that this can’t happen but leaves characters seemingly flat.
3) The interactions between characters seem awkward or unrealistic. This goes with character responses as well. You’re left going.. Wait what? Why would you do that?
4) The male bonds are “all about the H” but they keep lying, are hiding things and are wishy washy about teaching the H. I agree with another reviewer that stated that not a single one of the males waited for their bond but there was so much emphasis on that. Plus it was confusing that everyone that was going to be part of the bond be present or the bond wouldn’t form/i.e. not be able to form outside of the original bonding but yet… What about the others?
5) The guys seem hesitant about their parents but yet are willing to do whatever they ask? It follows the plot progression but not the character progression. The resounding dissonance makes for some confusing reading.
Aside from the issues, I think the story has potential. The concept isn’t overly original but I don’t think that takes away from the potential. I’m willing to see where book two goes but if the character development/growth isn’t addressed and the reality of situations not corrected, the series will be hard to continue to follow.
Good story, despite some awful grammatical and syntax errors. Seriously, learn how to use quotation marks and italics before to publish your first series. If I didn’t have unlimited kindle I would never have paid for the second book, i would have left the series in read.
To make it worse, the author knows how bad it is, and has even fixed it once after complaints. “There are still some errors in certain sentences that I couldn’t fix for fear of altering the story line too much so I’m sorry if they distract from the story. I hope all together the story has been improved and is easier to read.”
