When things take a turn for the worse, he seeks solace in the bottom of a bottle and ends up finding it in Annelie’s arms. But one moment of Heaven becomes one of sheer Hell when his wings make an unexpected appearance. Now, he’s … he’s in danger of losing not only his duty, but the woman he loves.
Annelie fell for Lukas the moment he walked into her bar and she fell hard. Lukas was accused of something he didn’t do and therefore banished to earth with his flying privileges taken away. Annelie runs a pub and fell for Lukas the first time he brought his hot angel body in. Three years and they have just talked. He’s never drank anything but soda but after being gone for three weeks he’s drinking alcohol! Now things are starting to happen! One night of hot bliss leads to a morning of his wings popping out! Scared to death Annelie panics! What is happening? A very good storyline with awesome characters.
What would you do to clear your name?
Appeal to Heaven? Fight the Devil himself in Hell? Lukas will do this and more to clear his name – but more importantly to be the angel that Annelie needs him to be. He loves her, he always has and now he’s willing to fight for her love. The only problem is she doesn’t know he’s an Angel.
Ooh she thinks he has a divine body but she doesn’t know how close she is! She loves him but she doesn’t know how to tell him of what’s in her heart. She has to fight her own mental demons in order to fight for the her man/Angel.
I loved this book. So much so that I’m gonna go and read book one, then book three, then book four!
I’ve always been honest with my reviews and I’m ain’t gonna stop now. I was given this a while ago by the author and it sort of got lost in the hundreds and hundreds of books that’s stored in my kindle. To Felicity Heaton, I’m so sorry! I really should have read this in a timely manner, for your benefit but mainly because it’s a damn good book that’s has kept me enthralled through the night. Thank you! And once again I’m sorry. Now I’m off to find more of your Angels!
I’m really loving this series. Fallen Angel is the second book in the series but works well as a stand-alone. Lukas was wonderful. He knows God personally, he’s been cast out for a crime he didn’t commit but finds solace with a human/mortal woman, Annelie. I liked Annelie too. She’s a bartender that has been leaning in Lukas for as long as she’s known him and has fallen in love with him and now he needs her. But Lukas is way more than she expected.
As usual the story was well thought out, consistent and flowed wonderfully. You can count on Felicity Heaton to deliver a first class story and this is another example.
Eagerly awaiting the next book.
Lukas has been banned to earth for three years after being falsely convicted by Heaven of a sin he did not commit. Annelie has been his ray of hope and love and Lukas wants to share his story with her. Together, with help from Apollyon, they set about discovering the truth. The characters are wonderfully written and their interactions show their growing relationship beautifully.
I really like this story, although I found it to be a bit slow in the beginning. Felicity more than made up for it by the sweet story, the danger and all the sexy!
Absolutely loved the chemistry between Lukas and Annalie.
I have read these stories previously but the author has taken them and turned them into AWESOME…
Lukas must first find out who framed him…
Annalie is worried about the man she has come to care about…
Will she want him when she finds out what he is?
If you love Fallen Angels and Warriors this is a must read…
I read this book with Kindle Unlimited
Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.
I’d not thought it possible, but this extended and re-edited version of Fallen Angel as part of the Her Angel: Bound Warriors series, is better than the original. It is still the passionate and exciting tale of Angel Lukas as he meets his lady love Amelie and tries to vindicate himself of the bogus charges that have left him Earthbound this past three years. But this version, extended and more descriptive, is tighter and cleaner, with every word well thought out and every detail crisp and sharp. The emotion, the pain, the love, all there, but with a depth that comes from age and reflection. A book that touches you and a series that will grab your heart. Highly recommended.
Felicity Heaton is an answer series writer she grabs a story and builds on it. Her Angel series is a good series especially if you like angels. I’m not a fan of angels but I am a fan of Ms. Heaton she’s a great storyteller.
When the male walk in he just oozed hotness also oozed way out of her reach. Major eye candy that wasn’t going to be hers.
Booted and boo’d the Angel can protest it wasn’t me all he wants, but it doesn’t help him from being blamed. A crime committed time must be served.
Chemistry zinged for the glorious angel, he was all about the darling behind the bar. He show her he was well worth the risk. But there’s isn’t an easy story its fraught with danger. But they’re both set on a path now where will it take them, will she risk loving him and will he risk her to prove when he must?
If you have read Heaton’s Her Fallen Angel then you are in for a treat, Fallen Angel is a revised verison of Her Fallen Angel and it is better the second time around. We see Luka and Annelie falling in love and fighting to set Luka free. Heaton adds alittle more to Fallen Angel and makes the story even better. So if you have or havent read Fallen Angel I highly recommend one clicking and fall in love with the characters of Bound Warriors Series!!! Happy Reading!!!
Loved it!
This book has so many interesting facets (aside from the obvious one of an angel walking around among humans): an angel exiled from Heaven, a mortal woman falling in love with him, a quest that takes him into Hell…what’s not to love about this?!
True to form, the writing is exceptional. The story kept me engaged (as Felicity’s books always do), and the imagery had me imagining exactly what Felicity had in mind when writing this.
Lukas was so wonderful to read because of his vulnerability. Here’s an immortal creature who knows God personally, and yet he seeks comfort and reassurance from the pretty human bartender he’s been visiting regularly for the past three years. He’s willing to brave the creatures of Hell and face a fate worse than death, but he still has that one soft spot for Annelie. I LOVED it!!!
And I am on pins and needles waiting for the more books in this series!!!
(I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)
5 out of 5 stars
For the last three Lukas has been searching for a way to prove his innocence to the heaven council . Also falling in love with a beautiful bar owner . Annelie . After one night they can’t let each other go . When all of a sudden he has to explain his wings and the hell that he is going through . Will Annelie love him despite the fact he has to clear his name and maybe head back to heaven if he clears his name . Will the love they have for each other keep them together .
I must say that each book is getting better . I so really like these two . Lukas is well he is sin poured into a pair of faded jeans . I mean ladies he is one hot angel .Tall with blonde shaggy hair and a body well its built for sin . He is a broken soul that you just want to snuggle , hug and tell him that everything will be ok . Annelie well she is one strong woman . She is sexy and sweet and totally in love with Lukas . I totally loved her , she is tired of wanting and not getting . When she finally lets loose her heart opens up and you really see her shine . Apollyon and Serenity are back to help out the couple and the test that Lukas has to go through .
This is a re edited and extended story and I really loved reading it . The author takes us on a sexy roller coaster ride . She can write about some really sexy men and the woman who love them . I read this book in an evening and it can be read as a stand alone . Its a naughty little read that will have you wanting your own angel warrior . If you want to heat up your winter night this is the series for you , Check them out . I promise you will not be disappointed . Its a sinfully sweet ride that will keep you wanting more .
I read this story, originally published as Her Fallen Angel, several years ago and I loved it. I’m happy to report that this new version of the story is still just as phenomenal as the original. You still get the same fabulous characters (Apollyon and Serenity, plus Annelie and Lukas) and intriguing story, but there are new additions to it (Rook and Isadora) that make it even better. The new content that Mrs. Heaton has added are like the cherry on top of an already fabulous sundae, making it a sinfully decadent treat. Lukas and Annelie are intriguing characters and their story is phenomenal. I love all the juicy tidbits that were added to the story to get the reader ready for Warrior Angel and Bound Angel. Warrior Angel is next followed by Bound Angel, which will be the newest addition to the Her Angel series, the fourth book in the Her Angel: Bound Warriors series. I can’t wait to see what the author does with the rest of the series now. Well done, to the author!
Sleeping with an angel will NOT send you to Hell
Dark Angel is the second book in the new Her Angel: Bound Warriors paranormal romance series. It is an extended and edited version of the Her Fallen Angel book in the Her Angel series.
Angel Lukas (H) was accused of a crime he did not commit and so was cast out of Heaven. While trying to prove his innocence, he meets and falls for human Annelie (h). After a big letdown in his quest to prove his innocence, his despair causes him to get drunk. Lukas and Annelie then end up in bed together. Annelie gets the surprise of her life when his wings pop out, and she just knows she is going to Hell for sleeping with an angel.
I loved Lukas. I know what it is like to be accused of something you didn’t do. I was very impressed with his willpower to abide by his restrictions even when it caused him so much pain, and would be easier to just give in. I liked Serenity and could certainly understand her concerns about Hell after finding out Lukas was an angel. I was glad when she finally realized that she was the strength that Lukas needed to find proof of his innocence. I was also happy to find there was a way for them to overcome her mortality and his immortality.
The book flowed well, had very steamy scenes, introduced more characters that I hope we see in future books, and had a great action at the end. Each book can stand alone, but are better when read in order, as there is an over-arching story being slowly developed about a missing friend. I really liked this book and highly recommend reading Felicity’s take on angels.
