A very fast moving book, lots of action, great characters (with some you really will hate) terrific plot twists. The ending leaves you anxiously wanting the next installment.
It is well written, and a unique plot. Starts out a little bit “all over the place”, and though some things do come together by the end of the first book, not all of the roads intersect in the first novel. I am looking for some additional answers in the follow up book(s).
Great sci-fi book which included technology that may be available in some of our lifetimes and filled with intrigue. Highly recommend.
“ Burning bridges means you cannot return the way you’ve come, but there are other options, other directions to go.”
A slow story building but worth it, to understand the bio tech behind the wave blades, genetic marker, cerebral enhancements..incredible power source! I was wowed from the beginning! An exciting glimpse of what’s to come by this author in the SciFi genre, hardcore science, high tech of a near future combined with fantastical powered swords, government deceits, lies and deceptions, The story building is slow, with a necessary high tech description that really overwhelmed me, to the point of going above my understanding sometimes, -it took me more days than needed to read this installment-, but it’s worth the effort to comprehend.
It hits all the things that I love about Sci-fi.
Rich developed characters meet vivid descriptions and a twisted plot that keeps you turning the pages…an enthralling start to a promising and powerful series worth following!
Intrigue up the wazoooo! Lol enjoy
By the end of the book I loved the characters and look forward to reading more. An entertaining read.
Suspense with tragic ending kind of sad to read the main character takes it for the team
What can we do if we just put our mind to it…
A good story, well set up and well written. The end is a little cut off, to make space for parts two, three and so on?
I read it on my computer screen and my wife was afraid I was translating the book, as she saw the same white screen with writing on it the whole weekend!
Stayed up very late to finish it! Mixes sci fi and corporate espionage together with government secret projects into a page Turner you can’t put down.
This is one of the best sci-fi books i have read in a long time. The detail and characters was so realistic i believed in everything that took place.
An original read, kept me interested and turning the pages. Interesting characters.
Although following the plot was somewhat confusing, I was drawn into the story and the characters.
Did the Good Guys Win, and if so, who Were They?
That question sums my reaction to this book. It was certainly interesting, and the characters were believable, but the situations and just who was playing which role was maddenly unclear.
Most of the characters from the Arthurian legend were represented, at least in name, and reincarnation was mentioned frequently but the roles of the characters was fluid. There were at least four subplots dealing with various ego deflation’s and wounded hearts, characters who were good, bad, and indifferent depending on the time of day, and some who may or may not have been real. I could probably go back and map everything out, but I already have a headache. It wasn’t a bad book, but it needed a road map and Cliff Notes.
The story and settings are rich enough to fuel a number of followups – which I immediately started looking for when the book finished. Very entertaining and interesting read.
interesting story, but the author seemed to out of the way to make up strange names for characters who then suddenly acted out or character. Some of the descriptions of the manifestations were vague so I had trouble visualizing them. I decided I am not going to read anymore of this series.
Definitely a different story line. I enjoyed reading it.
I gave this book 4 stars because the theme is a good one and original. But it moved too slow for me.
Nothing special
This book is. Very confusing involving many characters and plots. Nothing is thoroughly explained, often seems to jump into the middle of the plot. There is nothing connecting all the stories. Names and terms are used without context.
