Hunter and angel Eli lives by his own rules even when he is called before the Tribunal Seven for a perceived infraction – in this case, they believe he has lost his humanity and has sentenced him to earth with just the one mission – to find some compassion or be condemned to Hell. Human Ashley considers herself a freak as whenever she glances into a person’s eyes she foresees their death. Desperate for some solitude she goes far from her family trying to work out what to do next. When she is attacked a handsome stranger comes to save her and all she can think of is his steel-blue eyes and how beautiful they are. It seems that fate has brought them together but desire could bond them for eternity.
I really enjoyed this book and was addicted to it from the start to the finish. There were a lot of revelations for them both as part of this story and whilst I loved what happened near the end of this book I was heartbroken at the ending. I really hope things improve in the next book in the series for them. Well written, very enjoyable and easy to read and understand. Contains some sexual content.
I don’t care for cliffhangers whatsoever and I didn’t know until I reached the end.
Fall into Darkness is the book for you if you like angels that cuss, fight lie, and drink.
If you don’t have a problem with reading about demons, hell, and turn coat possessed angels this is your book. Lots of lust/love with twisted situations. Don’t throw that rosary away!
This book was ok but it didn’t grab my attention, although I persevered I couldn’t finish it
Valarie Twombly is an amazing author who can take you into the realms of fantasy mythology and all manner of spiritual and paranormal activity.
I am always stunned at the level of creative imagination specific details and emotional turmoil found within the various world’s she creates and takes us to.
Intriguing and intensity seem to be two of the most fascinating and challenging personalities found within both the storylines and their characters even though spiritual beings who we have always known to be robotic and somewhat callous through out own religious indoctrination, these Angeles walk beside us and try to understand why they feel so abandoned as they suffer love and protect us daily.
Ashley and Eli find themselves bound to one another after fate seems to want these two to meet and guide one another.
Two very strong and determined characters who find their lives being controlled and designed even before they were a thought in their parents heads everything and everyone they know and love seem to be part of a huge chess game where their own lives and those of humanity in general have been brought to this point in time to deal with issues and evil that was created eons ago.
Nephilim, angel’s, demon’s hellhounds and people are all part of this outstanding creative and imaginative world that is full of fast paced action mystery and deeply committed romance.
If you enjoy trying to fit the pieces all together while working out if this adventure is going to work out then this is definitely a great book for you to delve into.
A sexy tale of the Angel bounty hunter Eli who is on a quest to learn why so many angels have fallen yet maintain his disdain for humans….until he meets Ashley.Eli, is working and sort of gets reprimanded because, he like most men follow their own rules. In order for him to return to his Angel duties he has a task (no spoilers). He meets Ashley and you’d think it ends there.Fate will bring them together but desire could bond them for eternity.
Eli is an archangel hunter and tasked with hunting down his fallen comrads. More and more angels have fallen to the darkness. It’s a mystery as to how and by whom. Eli is bitter and has lost his faith in humanity, and completely disregards orders set by the Seven. As punishment he stripped of his wings and sent to Earth to find his humanity. There he comes across Ashley. Their attraction is instant and he finds himself drawn to her, despite his reservation on never being mated. Ashley turns out to be more than anyone ever expected and the hope the angels need.
I loved Eli’s character. I liked that he battled with the darkness that was growing inside of him, tempting him to fall. He also lost his faith in humanity. His motives were tainted. This was so refreshing that he wasn’t a perfect angel. He too could lose his faith. I also loved his relationship with Ashley even though their romance was instant. I liked their willingness to fight and sacrifice for one another.
This story has so many twists. I loved where this story takes you. Its filled with darkness and mystery. Some unexpected things happen that makes this story get better. I loved the ending. I will say that I thought this book was a little slow and I was hoping for a lot more action, but I loved this book nonetheless. I can’t wait to read the next book.
