Wealth and power make them untouchable. The monarchs of Trinity Academy.Falcon Reyes. With a sharp, intelligent look, he reeks of arrogance wrapped in an icy layer of indifference.A life of luxury has left him with the notion that everything is attainable.Power. Wealth. Status. He’s a god and I a mere mortal. He’s Jupiter, and I am Mercury. There’s so much power in this man. He has the kind of … power in this man.
He has the kind of influence most people can’t even begin to imagine.
And me… I’m an eighteen-year-old girl who managed to make him lose control.
I’m the girl who showed him there’s a kaleidoscope of colors outside the high walls of his black and white world.
Please note:
This is Book 1 in The Trinity Academy Series.
All 3 books are interconnected, and some plots are carried over to the next 2 books in this series.

I think this is one of my favorite books by this author so far. I had completely and utterly fell in love with Falcon and Layla so much. This story had me hooked from page one and kept me going. It has everything I love in a book and so much more. I really can not wait until the next book in this series.
Falcon Reyes grew up privileged along with his best friends Mason Chargill and Lake Cutler and together they “control” Trinity Academy. Together the three have planned out their own futures working together to figure out who is going to follow in their respective father’s footsteps with the company they own, CRC Holdings. Yet they still have their own share of issues due to “agreements” and plans that their parents may have for them.
Layla Shepard grew up with a single mom while her dad was off traveling the world. Her mom, Stephanie, is the assistant to Falcon’s father and she received a scholarship to attend the exclusive Trinity Academy and she doesn’t want anyone to discover her secret to how she got there.
Yet soon Layla realizes how far some will go to get what they want and feel like they deserve and she catches the attention of several people, including Serena Weinstock, who will do anything to bring her down. But when she also catches the attention of Falcon, he will do anything to protect her.
Can Layla successfully negotiate Falcon’s world or will she get caught in all of the crossfire?
I am so excited that this author has another series and so far this one has me completely hooked and eagerly waiting for the next one in the series!
Falcon seems so cold and calculated yet through Layla you get to see another side of him. I was shocked at the way his mom was so set on Falcon marrying Serena even though he hated her and wanted absolutely nothing to do with her. I think it really showed the lack of a relationship that he had with her and how she really didn’t care anything about what he wanted for his life and was more concerned about her own social standing.
I really liked learning about Falcon’s relationship with his brother and dad in this book as well and gradually how everything changes due to steps that Falcon had to do in order to reclaim his own life and what he wanted for his future.
I thought Layla was a great character and I knew why she needed to have her past hidden from those who would use it against her. I loved the relationship she formed with Kingsley and how close the two girls became. I knew why she didn’t want to be Falcon’s assistant and I wondered how it would be used against her by some.
Grayson Stateman was such a jerk but I was very happy how that brought out a different side of Falcon immediately and I loved how Lake and Mason immediately became extra protective over Layla.
I absolutely loved the bond between Falcon, Mason and Lake and how the three of them together worked out their future and how they were going to handle everything. These three are so awesome together and I am so excited for the next two books with Mason and Lake!
I was shocked at the nerve of Falcon’s mom, Clare, and everything that she did in this book and all of the trouble that she caused. I still think Serena was responsible for a certain event!
I loved the “family bonding” session towards the end of the book with Falcon, his dad and brother and how each of them were ready to do certain things that needed to be done. I was very happy that Falcon’s dad realized what needed to be done and what needed to be avoided!
The very end of the book left me super happy but then the book gives us an epic cliffhanger/preview into what is coming and I need the next book now!!!

Falcon kicks off the Trinity Academy series in style I was hooked from the first page.
Falcon is one of the school elite. He has the looks the money and the prestige. Normally I take a dislike to these guys but he managed to sneak in and i loved him. There was such a vulnerability to him that i wasn’t expecting. I loved how the author explored this aspect of a young man’s personality. So often the young men in stories are shown as always being strong and afraid to let their emotions show. Layla is the girl he never saw coming, she is an amazing character. Her personality is the perfect foil for him, she never backs down and is fiesty and opinionated. The bond between the three young men is unshakeable. Mason and Lake are going to get their own books and I’m so excited especially after that ending.
I found my new love at Trinity Academy! This new series by Michelle Heard definitely came with all the feels!! I’m so in love with all these characters, I’m seriously packing my bags and going back to school. The whole crew is beyond amazing, especially when it comes to Falcon and Layla. They were complete perfection with their banter and crazy chemistry. Their friendship are something to envy as well.
While we go up, I can almost believe our little group can somehow fit into each other’s lives. Mason with his temper. Kingsley with her humor and sass. Lake with his warmth. Falcon with his bravery to fight for the life he wants. And me? I’ll be their rainbow.
After that, I couldn’t love Layla any harder that I already did! And Falcon… I just wanted to pull him out of the book and hug the hell outta him.
“Can you lie to me?”
“About,” he whispers, which makes me look up at him.
When I see the emotion on Julian’s face, I have to force the words out, “Can you tell me you love me, and that you’re proud of me?”
So yea, get some wine ready for this read. You’ll need it. And it’s one you’ll want to reread as well. Amazingly written in dual POV, Falcon is book 1 of the Trinity Academy series. I can’t wait to have Mason and Lake already and devour them just the same!
*4.5 stars*
A feel good read….
I really enjoyed this “all the feels” first in the Trinity Academy series. This was a love story between Falcon and Layla but also a buddy story with Falcon’s brothers of the heart. It all came together in a story that came together in a ‘one stop shop’ kind of read. By that, I mean it had everything! Humor, heat, drama, angst. Secrets to be exposed. Obstacles to overcome. And it was all done with characters that were likable and soon became loved…
A great read with an out of nowhere, wicked cliffhanger (like WHAT???) has me stalking the bookshelves once again! I should know by now, this author loves surprises. Maybe I will thank her later for this one….
*I happily reviewed this story
LOVED THIS BOOK!!! Michelle created an amazing world where Falcon, Mason, & Lake rule Trinity Academy. I loved seeing their friendship! It was total friendship goals! I really loved seeing Layla & Falcon together. She is at Trinity Academy with a “scholarship” and isn’t the normal student. She doesn’t put up with Falcon’s BS, and that draws him to her! I was hooked from the start and couldn’t put it down! It does end in a cliffhanger, but book 2 is coming out soon!!!!
Michelle Heard is a new to me author, I know she has written under a different pen name but I haven’t read any of those books either, although a few of them are on my TBR shelf so going into this book I didn’t know what to expect other than to hopefully loose myself in a good story…and that is just what I did. I really liked all of the characters although some of them came off a bit childish it wasn’t a deterrent it actually made me like their character a little less which I am sure was the idea of it all because of how their story line plays out.
FALCON is the first book in the Trinity Academy Series and this trilogy must be read in order because the three stories overlap one another. In this story we have Falcon Reyes who is use to getting everything he wants because of who his family is, and we have Layla who is a breath of fresh air or a colorful rainbow…seriously this girl is down to earth and doesn’t let the fact that Falcon have money make her fawn over him and I love it! Layla is the daughter of Falcon’s fathers Secretary and Mr. Reyes has gifted the luxury of studying at Trinity Academy to her.
This was a great start to the trilogy, I am really looking forward to Mason and Lake’s stories as well. Falcon, Mason, and Lake are all decedents of the founding fathers of Trinity Academy their bond is deeper than if they were brothers and it’s great to see how these three men are always there for one another no matter what.
If you are looking for a NEW ADULT ROMANCE that will heat up your kindle while warming your heart look no further, grab a copy of Falcon now!
Happy Reading!!!
Falcon is the first installment in Michelle Heard’s Trinity Academy series and its one you won’t want to miss..
You know the saying Oh my heart… yeah well that’s how you’ll feel about Falcon… I devoured this book in one sitting.. was hooked from the first page and completely fell in love with this series..
Its pure perfection and once again Michelle Hear has produced and exceptional read..
Falcon grew up in a world where “Paper is thicker than blood”.
He has everything, from being wealthy to basically being God’s gift to all women… But it’s not enough.. he’s missing something extremely important in life.. that is love…
That is until Layla…. “Instead of being your weakness, let me be your strength.”
Can I just say the only issue I had with this book was the cliffy at the end… I was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
But all in all.. this is one of those books I’ll encourage a one-click on …
Well, I’ve got to say. I loved the start of this new Trinity Academy series. Michelle Heard really nailed it for me. Falcon might be arrogant and powerful, but he also has a layer of vulnerable and kind hidden just underneath that icy exterior, and Layla is just the girl to make him see the good in the world, to help him love and be loved. The series is following three best friends, Falcon, Mason and Lake, and the women who finally bring them to their knees (in the best possible way). All three rule their elite college – Trinity Academy – and all three have everyone worshipping at their feet, until Layla and her new best friend appear. Layla won’t take any sh!¥ from anyone, and that includes Falcon and his band of merry men, or his family either for that matter. A wonderful romance, a little angst, a lot of drama, and a new favourite series for me. I’m so looking forward to Mason’s story. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author, this is my honest review.
A great beginning to this series,
very addicting, engaging, and unexpected
This page turner beginning, will hook you and wanting more
…excited about the next book..
Falcon and Layla was the first in a new series, and I’m totally digging it. It has all kinds of drama and laughs. I’m definitely looking forward to the next books. I love that Falcon walks to his own beat and is loyal to his best friends. True friendship is a rare thing. Layla is strong and independent with self worth and confidence. Loved her!! Together they are a truly great couple.
I was hooked on the crazy world of The Trinity Academy from the start! The author does such a great job creating this insanely wealthy world that you feel like your part of it. Falcon is the hot alpha but he definitely is not what you expect. Layla doesn’t belong that world and ends turning his upside down. She gets the true Falcon the world doesn’t get to see. They have become one of my favorite couples. They are perfect for each other. I am now in desperate need of Mason”s book with how this one ended!!
This college-age romance was fascinating to read. You have college, money, family, fame, business royalty, and scum all wrapped up into one tale. It was interesting getting to know Falcon, Mason, and Lake and their families and lives. It was fun to meet Julian, Kingsley, and Layla. Watching the various dynamics that were in place was neat. Watch the cliff hanger at the end, it is a doozy! I was not sure at first how I felt about Falcon, Mason, and Lake, but they grew on me! When you read this story, you will understand why. I look forward to reading more about these kids!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
Falcon is book 1 in the Trinity Academy Series and is Falcon Reyes and Layla Shepard’s story. What an amazing story; this new series is a new adult /college romance read which is centered around 3 brooding, powerful , alpha yet young millionaire heirs and the beautiful young women who bring them literally to their knees.
1st book is Falcon and Layla’s story and what a story it is. The angst, the feels, the chemistry, the passion, the heartache, the alphaness, the sassy, the romance and the love. It’s full of such great characters and feels and a wonderful story(plot) that I didn’t want the story to end yet I can’t wait for book 2 now. Truly Fabulous!
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
Falcon is the first book by this author that I have read, and will definitely have me coming back for more. The first book in the Trinity Academy series grabbed me from the start and held on to the cliffhanger at the end. I loved following Falcon and Layla’s story, and the bond between him and his friends Mason and Lake is more like brothers than friends. I enjoyed the dynamic between them and how Layla was able to see right through all of them and see the best of each of them. I look forward to reading the next book in the series and find out what happens.
“I didn’t know it would cost so much.”
I pull back and wrap my arms around myself. “What?”
“A moment,” he whispers.”
Falcon, Mason and Lake control Trinity Academy, a college for the cream of high society. Heirs of millionaire fortunes, converged in one company, these three have been friends since they were born, and the bond that binds them together is what makes them survive in this world full of rules and without free will in which they live. But despite the fame and fascination that the three provoke, no one really knows them. Allowing someone to approach can be a danger, as exposing weaknesses in this world means ruin. With that, the outside world sees the character created by each one, when in fact, we have versions of the misunderstood playboy, the tormented bad boy and the sweet and centered guy.
Layla is about to starts in the famous college, thanks to her mother working for the Reyes family patriarch. Without this charity, she would never be able to get this opportunity. But if she wants to stay in college, no one can know her true origin and how she got the opportunity. Surrounded by students who value status and bank accounts, discovering that she is a mere mortal can have disastrous consequences. Just like bumping into Falcon, the son of his mother’s boss.
If the hatred between the two is mutual and instantaneous, the same can be said of the strong and inconvenient attraction that is present. If Layla wants to survive, she must be invisible. And avoid Falcon at all costs. Too bad a dangerous figure puts his eyes on her. And makes her visible to everyone.
Over time and as the relationship of love and hate growing between them, it is only a matter of time before they kill or love each other. But love in this world can cost a great price. For both.
With a fluid, well-written rhythm, these three somewhat controversial guys will melt your heart as the masks drop. Lake is cute. Falcon just wants a hug. And Mason, the most mysterious one, just needs someone to get him out of the self-inflicted personal hell he’s in. Layla and Kingsley, the female characters, are strong, decisive and know how to impose themselves. The friendship of the two is real, as is the friendship between the boys. Merging this very different group works very well. The “reality clash” provided by Layla on the book’s final trip was hilarious.
Serena and Falcon’s mother, the villains in the book, might have a better conclusion. Some points were loose in the narrative.
The ending, despite concluding the story between Falcon and Layla, features a cliffhanger that made me uneasy.
A great book. Loved the characters. Especially the guys.
Michelle hits one out of the park again with Falcon, book 1 of The Trinity Series. I devoured Falcon and Layla’s story. Their chemistry is off the charts even though they come from two entirely different worlds.
In Michelle Heard style, she has given us some amazing characters to love and set this series off to be amazing series. Counting the days until I can read book 2, Mason
This book had all the elements I like as per usual with these young college or high school books.
Sexy billionaire alpha males, sexy vixen kick-ass girls and always a plot that will keep you on your toes.
Falcon, Mason and Lake all come from very wealthy families who will inherit their father’s company. All three boys’ father own CRC Holdings and they are the next to take rein in the company. But Falcon doesn’t seem to get along great with his family and he’s never had any love or affection from them.
When Falcon meets Layla and he gets to know her, she turns out to be the light in his tunnel. She is everything that he never expected and loves. She really turned his life upside down (in a good way) and he knows she’s everything to him. She’s a compassionate, caring and loving girl who seen Falcon deeper than he wanted to be seen.
I know this series is going to be a good one. I can’t wait to get Mason and Lake’s books next. I’m more intrigued to find out what’s going to go down with Lake since he seems like the one I like the most for some reason.
What a great new book from Michelle Heard and her new series! Falcon Reyes looks from the outside like he has it all money, power and privilege, but looks are deceiving. On the other hand Layla Shepard has opportunity given to her by his family. Two total opposites and yet a connection that can’t be denied. I loved going on their journey and cant wait to see what is in store next for this series.
Falcon is the first book in this new series from another new to me author. This book can be read as a stand alone but it is interconnected with succeeding books, and I for one couldn’t wait to read the next one!
Falcon, along with his bestfriends Mason and Lake, is one of the sons of the founding members of CRC Holdings that owns Trinity Academy. As expected, due to his social status, Falcon grew up to be wary of anyone’s intention which resulted to him being an aloof, cool and at times, rude. He is used to have anything and anyone he wants, until Layla.
Layla is the PA’s daughter to Falcon’s father and was given a free ride to study at Trinity Academy. She is a relatable character; so real like and could be someone you know with her smart, sassy, takes-no-shit from anyone attitude. So when she and Falcon meets for the first time, it was inevitable that they will fall in love. Each of them has something that the other needs and I loved that they are strong enough to fight for their young love.
I loved that in this book, we were shown a soft, vulnerable side of the hero. It is not everytime that you see it in romance novels and it was refreshing. I loved the brotherhood of Falcon, Mason and Lake and how they compliment each other and work their dynamics. I’m excited to read the story of these two next. Also, I’m still not convince about the cause of Layla’s trip to the hospital and I’m hoping to get the real reason behind on the next book.
Overall, I truly enjoyed this slow burn romance and looking forward tk Mason’s and Kingsley’s love story next. I bet this one will be so much fun!
