All 3 books are interconnected, and some plots are carried over to the next 2 books in this series.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect going into this. Though, the author wasn’t exactly new to me, she was one I have seen around and have been told she brilliant. She was one of many that are on my TBR list, and I am kicking myself now for not starting her books sooner! I even have her Southern heroes series on my kindle.
When I saw the blurb to this new series, I knew I had to grab a copy and I am not disappointed one bit!
Ms. Heard way with words came with ease. It flowed so well, I found myself completely consumed in this story.
Falcon is the son of one of the founding families of Trinity Academy, he is arrogant, he’s alpha, he has the power around the school, and normally gets what he wants, when he wants it, regardless of the consequences. He takes what he wants. He wants others to look at him and see him for him, not for the money he’s got, or the nice things…
Layla is fierce, sassy, full of wit, she’s strong and she’s unique. She’s on a scholarship because her mother is Falcons fathers PA and the last thing she wants is for the other students to know she’s not wealthy. This school runs on wealth, it bleeds riches. Wealth, power and status are everything in this school, so she tries her best to fly under the radar otherwise her life would be a living hell.
It’s when Falcon and Layla come together that things start to change. There is something between them, but Falcon refuses to see it, to own it, to admit to it. Because if they did, if they let these feelings bubble to the surface. Shit would hit the fan between both families.. it would create more drama, more issues….
Is it worth it? Are they willing to risk it and be together? Or will they continue to fight these feelings? Can they continue to fight them?
These two together were two unlikely people to be together. From two different worlds. The wealthy, and the not so wealthy. But yet, they were perfect together in so many ways. She’s the brightness to his dark, she’s the good to his bad. They balanced each other out. Actually she balanced him out and as the book progressed, so did the chemistry between the two of them.
That push and pull was right there, it was tugging at my heart the entire time and I couldn’t help but cheer these two on. The author wrote these two incredibly well and made it hard not to fall for them.
The way she weaves in the secondary characters was amazing, we get of a glimpse into what’s to come with this series. Which also involves Mason and Lake, two of Falcon’s friends. I love their bond, their loyalty to one another and their banter. These three were amazing and I couldn’t help but laugh at some of the things said and done.
All in all, this book was a fantastic start to what promises to be an amazing series of books! The author was flawlessly and deserves all the praises she gets for this! I am so glad I’ve finally taken the chance to read some of her work.
I am now hooked!!
5 Stars!
This was a sweet read and I really liked it. It felt like some of the issues/events could have been explored a little deeper but overall a light read. I would recommend it for sure.
Falcon by Michelle Heard is book One in the Trinity Academy Series. This is the story of Falcon Reyes and Layla Shepard.
Falcon’s father is one of the founding families of Trinity Academy where he attends college. In addition he is rich, used to getting his way and people doing what he wants when he wants and taking what he wants. Layla was granted a scholarship at the school because her mother is Falcon’s father Personal Assistant. Layla isn’t wealthy nor harden like Falcon but she does know that she needs to keep a low profile because of her status in life and her low income. But when these two meet sparks fly so high but each have issues that may not lead to a easy road.
This book does have a underlining story-line that will carry into the next book called “Mason”.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I knew going in that this was the first book in a trilogy. We’re introduced to our Hero, Falcon, along with his very close friends who are like brothers to him. The three of them, along with our heroine, Layla, all attend Trinity Academy, which is an elite college that was established by the boys’ forefathers. They are also billionaire legacy heirs to their fathers’ company, which is the primary funder for the school. This part of the story is a bit confusing as it’s introduced in this first book and the author assumes one will read the next book. You pretty much have to as there are events that occur in this book, that are left open-ended and the book itself ends on a cliffhanger. Thankfully, more light is shed in the second book. I would probably give this book 3.5 stars since I enjoyed the banter between Layla and Falcon, and the strength of her character. The “L” word came out a little too fast in my humble opinion, but I look forward to reading about how the other two young men fall for their heroines.
Just when you thought it was safe…
Falcon puts you in everyone’s crosshairs.
Trinity Academy is filled with THE elite rich kids. Spoiled heirs, simpering twits, and all the yes men you never wanted. Real is just a word, not a characteristic. Until Her.
Join Falcon, Mason, and Lake while their world flips on its axis. Watch them become “real” boys.
Falcon was a change from the usual spoil Heir apparent. He may have walls but he easily offered up the keys to his kingdom. I look forward to watching all these men now before their future brides.
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
The trinity academy is here and what a wonderful way to start.
First book is Falcon and I’m totally in love with him. Arrogant, Rich and super powerful he is planning to finish school and make himself an honorable business man with his best friends plan.
He was not planning on falling in love, let alone, falling for such a woman like Layla, with such a low status.
She stole his heart and show him that there were more than him than money.
Layla got the opportunity to study in a really prestigious school. She was planning to complete school and follow her dreams. She never thought of including a man in her dreams, let alone a man like Falcon.
He shows her how important she can be in someone’s life.
They both decided that love was more important that anything and loyalty was the best of all.
I received this book as an Arc in exchange for an honest review and that’s exactly what I did.
Don’t miss out this series
Falcon is NOT a bully romance. Yes, there is some meanness because hello they are college students and that is what happens when you are given everything in the world, but this is not the usual bully romance.
Falcon and his friends are the next generations for the company that their father and grandfathers started and grew. They rule the school and are in charge of everything that goes on. However, when his father goes and gives his secretary’s daughter a pass to go to the same college, he isn’t too happy.
Layla is that girl, and she is ready to learn and get out. However, when she meets Falcon and his crew Lake Cutler and Mason Chargill she finds that these guys are not what they seem. They are more all bark and no bite.
I loved this book. I could not put it down. I will say I was surprised about the cliffhanger I did not see that coming in the way it did. I am excited to read Mason and see how it goes.
The first book in a new series by Michelle Heard. College romance lovers, bad-boy lovers, power-play romance lovers, be ready.
An academy for the rich, for those who will one day have power and the world at their beck and call, Falcon is one of those people, he’s a young man who is expected to take the reigns one day from his fathers empire but first he needs to go through the academy while also fighting off the competition and threats from his brother who wants it all. Falcon’s future is mapped out, he has his best friends who are like true brothers by his side, Lake and Mason, they rule the school, they have it all planned out but what isn’t planned is Falcon falling for his father’s assistants daughter along the way.
I liked it, I liked the characters, Layla was a down to earth kind of girl and she brought Falcon down a peg or two while also opening his eyes to how the other half lived, she brought him balance, they became a good fit. I wanted more angst though, more bad boy, the boy went from hard to soft too quick in my opinion, I do love the chase and the angst in my reads.
Falcon is a promising and exciting start to a new series I can’t wait for Mason and Lake’s story.
Wow! I am so glad the wait is over to this series I have been waiting for Ms. Heard to start publishing the Trinity Academy series. Know that the wait is over Falcon has been a great start to what I’m hoping will be a fantastic series. This book is different from the norm for Ms. Heard and I like it it shows that she most certainly has a creativeness about her. I’m off now to read Mason which is part 2. Oh and you HAVE TO READ THESE BOOKS IN ORDER!!!
Swoon worthy!
I’ve read quite a few books by Michelle so I already knew I was gonna love this book and dang did I love it! I normally go for bully romances and when I first heard of this series I thought they were bully romances. They are NOT! The main guy is not a bully. It has bullying in it but the H is all alpha hero and I loved him! Falcon is possibly every girls dream man! Sexy, Rich, Emotional, Protective, he even has a**hole tendencies. He’s the perfect package and I loved every bit of this book! From the drama to the humor. Every word! I def can’t wait for Mason’s story!
Falcon by Michelle Heard is book one in the Trinity Academy Series.
Falcon Reyes, Lake Cutler and Mason Chargill best friends since childhood. They are the heir apparents to CRC Holdings and the gods of Trinity Academy. Trinity Academy is an elite school for only the extremely wealthy. Falcon and his friends have everyone’s utmost respect. They should – their grandfathers started Trinity Academy.
And this is their last year before joining the legacy of their fore fathers. This year everyone is vying to be these three young men’s assistants. Everyone that is, except for Layla Shepard. Layla’s mother Stephanie is assistant to Falcon’s father Grayson Reyes, CEO of CRC Holdings. And she has received a free ride to Trinity. She knows she doesn’t belong in their world, but she needs this to get her
degree in journalism. She just wants to stay below the radar and not let anyone find out she doesn’t come from money. That is until a twist of fate has Falcon deciding that Layla will be his assistant. Layla wants nothing to do with any of this, she just wants to study and mind her own business. But by becoming Falcon’s assistant she is now front page news and not everyone is happy about it.
At the start of the book Falcon and his friends come off as quite conceited and overpowering.
But once Layla comes into all of their lives you can see them slowly shift to the true men they are. The ones that have hidden themselves from the reputation they try to portray.
Obviously money can’t buy you happiness. And Falcon has a life of luxury and everything he ever wanted. But what he truly wants is someone to brighten up the world that he sees as only black and white. Once he chooses Layla as his assistant and she doesn’t cower or just simply fall at his feet. He starts to see her
as something other than the charity case her father helped get into Trinity.
Layla is strong and opinionated, but she also sees the world much differently than Falcon.
And when she starts to show him other ways of looking at situations, his eyes begin to open and a whole new world appears to him.
I loved everything about this book. I loved the beginning where Falcon and his friends were almost obnoxious and carefree.
Going about their lives without a care in the world. I loved Kingsley for become Layla’s first friend at Trinity and for sticking by her once
she knew her background and how she came to be at Trinity. I loved Lake in all his amazing greatness. He is the bond that holds the friends together and he would do anything for Falcon and Mason. I loved Mason in a his beautiful, brutal honestly.
You can see the pain and the hurt seeping from every page that contains Mason. I cannot wait to read Mason’s and Lake’s books.
A wonderful book that shows you that money isn’t the root of happiness and that you can’t judge a book by its cover. A wonderful quick read – that will leave you wanting more. And the ending of book one – I seriously was left blindsided.
Book two cannot come soon enough.
Highly recommend.
This was a great start to this new series from Michelle. You get introduced to all the characters, not just Falcon and Layla who feature in this book. The combination of the different personalities, mixed with the wit and banter is highly entertaining.
Falcon is not what expected or what he originally portrayed. He has this public persona that he only lets people see, except those really close to him, purely Mason and Lake. I liked seeing him grow with Layla. The way he showed his softer side. She certainly kept him on his toes with her sass as he was used to people bowing to him not standing upto him. She is the first person, apart from the boys, that doesn’t want/expect anything from him.
I am looking forward to reading more of this series, see what happens next with Mason and Lake.
This story was phenomenal! Falcon and Layla are everything! I couldn’t put this book down! Falcon is my new book boyfriend!!
When I saw new ‘Trinity Academy’ series written by Michelle Heard I immediately chose Mason as my bookish husband.
But first book of this series is ‘Falon’ and now, when I finished it I am serious thinking about change my mind.
This book was a great adventure.
‘Falcon’ starts a story of three friends, which they are like brothers from different blood.
Falcon Reyes, Mason Chargill and Lake Cutler are the most handsome boys in the school, which Layla Shepard went.
The Trinity Academy is a school for the rich elite and Layla doesn’t belong to this group. Her mother is a personal assistant of Falcon father and he gave her an opportunity to study in this school, because he paid for her tuition.
At the first day Layla is on tongues of all school girls and only Kingston, wants to meet her personally. Girls quickly become best friends.
When Falon saw the first time Layla, he feel something different. He chose her to be his assistant. Layla declined this deal, but finally (with a little of blackmail) she agreed.
Their story starts with hate, but ends with love.
I am totally in love with this book and I can’t wait, when I read Mason and Lake stories!
‘Falcon’ is spoken with dual POV. Some chapters we can see with Falcon, some with Layla.
This solution is très génial!
Falcon is a guy who has everything material in his live, but he doesn’t have the most important thing – love. He never loved somebody and he was never truly loved. His father is busy with big corporation CRC Holdings, which Falcon’s older brother will inherit. Clare Reyes, his mother is only interested in social life and her reputation.
Falcon’s older brother – Julian is a real buisnessman and he is thinking only about family buisness.
Layla is the complete opposite of Falcon. She has a two parents whos love her and maybe she doesn’t have so much money than Falcon, but she is happy of the small things.
Her world is so different to Falcons’ world, but they were już perfect for each other.
First pages made my minds on bully romance, but when I was reading deeper, I saw that Falcon didn’t want hurt Layla. He is overprotective to her and he do this in good way.
I love this story. It is so delicate, steamy, sexy and happy. But this end? Michelle please don’t do it again!
Can’t wait to read ‘Mason’! And… I love Falcon, but I think that Mason still has my heart.
Give me the second book in ‘Trinity Academy’ series!
Falcon started off a bit slow, but when the pace picked up I was unable to put it down. It’s so easy to sit back and judge people by their financial status, but we know money doesn’t bring health or happiness. Falcon’s life has never been considered normal, he has the paparazzi and people watching his every move, but do they see him? It’s all a big facade and it isn’t until Layla the daughter of his fathers PA really sees him that walls start to crumble. Their are a number of hurdles in their way though, the usual privileged men and women who don’t like to relinquish their control.
Wow what a way to start a series!!
I’m sitting here bleary eyed as I couldn’t sleep until every page was read.
The author yet again has you on a rollercoaster of emotions.
She has such a way of bringing characters to life, one page you’re wanting to slap someone the next hug them.
Definitely a must read and cannot wait for book 2.
Falcon by Michelle Heard is the first book in her brand new, interconnected trilogy, Trinity Academy . Based in an elite academy owned by the families of Falcon, Mason, and Lake this story is that of Falcon Reyes and Layla Shepard. Slow-paced to start for me – the book didn’t really have me locked in until Layla had her moment to shine. A desperate and dangerous moment but she was tough and never gave up and that’s when the storyline had me hooked.
Trinity Academy is an elite college/university environment tailored for the rich and powerful. Money is status and Layla is their on scholarship/goodwill as her mother is the long term personal assistant to Mr. Reyes, Falcon’s father. A fact she would rather no-one know so she can remain judged on her own actions and not by her family’s wealth (or lack thereof).
Falcon is initially intrigued by Layla because she seems so unimpressed with all that is Trinity. She is there to study, not socialize and it is something fresh and invigorating for him to see and even learn from. While their friendship starts off rocky, and a bit high-handed on Falcon’s part, it quickly becomes more and with their bussing romance the group dynamic that used to be just Falcon, Mason & Lake grows and evolves and they all benefit from Layla’s down-to-earth outlook.
Ending on a cliffhanger that will be picked up in Mason’s book – I really enjoyed this and will DEFINITELY keep reading to finish out this trilogy. Enjoy!
I have been patiently waiting for this series. And let me tell you Michelle did not disappoint one little bit. This book this storyline these characters grip you and have you holding your breathe to the very last word in the book. There is three amazing guys Falcon, Macon, and Lake. This one is mainly about Falcon but of course the other two are deeply involved in the storyline.
Falcon is high up on the ladder at Trinity Academy. He has to pick someone to be his assistant for the year. He ends up picking Layla Shepard who is actually the daughter of his father’s secretary (assistant). Their is tension between these two right from the beginning. But they slowly start to realize there is something between them. I loved the three boys together. Not only do they have quite the bond but so many of the scenes with those three had me rolling on the floor laughing. These book is full of everything you want in a good book. Laughter, suspense, hatred, revenge, and love. There is one character in this book that you love to hate Serena. This storyline is full of so much. It will keep you hooked and on your toes from beginning to end. Michelle blew me away. Granted I have read quite a few of her books and loved each and every one. But this one this one was the one that I will reread over and over again.
Falcon and Layla take you on their journey from enemies to friends to lovers to possibly more and they go along from one problem to another trying to fix that and themselves along the way with help from Mason, Lake, and Kingsley can they overcome whatever is put I their path? Amazing emotional read that will have your head all over The place. Can’t wait to read the next
It has been awhile since I’ve read one of Michelle’s book and boy how I have missed her stories. Falcon is the first book in a new series Trinity Academy. Each book in the series focuses on a different character but the stories are interconnected so I would not recommend reading them as stand alones as you will have spoilers but then again I haven’t had the chance to read the next book yet, I can just tell that is how it is going to be.
Book one focuses on Falcon Reyes and Layla Shepard. They are not your typical pair and really show us how opposites do attract. Falcon’s dad is a founding family of Trinity Academy and Layla’s mom works for Falcon’t dad. Falcon runs the school, along with his two buddies, where Layla is new to the school and on a scholarship.
While the book does start very slow moving in the beginning and you may find it difficult to get into, this reader strongly suggests to stay with it because the author does not disappoint. This is a very gripping story that is difficult to put down and will have you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. You will be laughing, crying, frustrated, along with the angst but you will find that the characters are not afraid to show their own emotions and are very relatable and realistic characters.
I didn’t want this story to end and the plus is because of the interconnected stories I know we will have more in Mason’s book that is next.
