This novel was a very enjoyable read. The story was good and was easy to follow. The tale rolled out so smoothly that I was surprised when I went to check on my progress in the book, to find that I only had 20 pages left to go.. So, even though this is a good sized read, it goes by so quickly because the reader gets drawn into all happenings and unique characters. This tale felt genuine and I was most impressed with the handling of the bullying situations. There were unique characters depicted within this story, with each character bringing forth their traits, flaws and even their unusual idiosyncrasies. This all made for untypical conversations, even around family members.
An interesting read that showcased characters that were blunt in speaking and very down-to-earth. It was like getting a breath of fresh air listening to the, most times, sharp and even some rapidly fired off wit was bandied about in the dialogue.
Highly entertaining!!
I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this novel via Booksprout and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
I knew when I read the blurb for this book, that it was going to be good. Ash and Trace have so much chemistry between them! The steamy scenes were much more than steamy, they were HOT! I loved the whole premise of finding someone online to be your fake boyfriend. I really enjoyed this book and will be reading it again. Ms. Hart has another hit on her hands. I can not wait to see what she brings us next.

A great story about being confident in yourself, and realizing you are someone important no matter what anyone says.
Trace is Her Rock!
Hurrah for Ash! Trace has answered her request from an online dating service to be her boyfriend for a 10-year school reunion. She was bullied in school & dreads going to attend as a single. Trace has a week to prep her, giving her pep talks to increase her confidence, knowing she’s had it hidden all this time. She thinks a boyfriend for the night is what she needs but Trace believes she could do this on her own. However, the more time Trace is with her, he wants to be with her forever.
As the big day approaches, she’s more nervous in facing those bullies. Trace is her rock & continues to coach her that she has nothing to fear — she can DO this! Then her world crashes & the truth of Trace’s identity is revealed.
Read this book & see how the author has Ash blossom into the confident young woman that she truly is. She is the star of this novel.

This is a fake boyfriend book with a twist. What makes this book unique are the main characters. She is a nerd that never quite fit in and he has his own insecurities. They come together to help her out but wind up helping each other. A sweet story.

I really enjoyed reading Faking It With Mr. Nightshadow. I just wish the book was longer, I was not ready for the book the end.
Ashton (Ash) is trying to find someone to be her fake boyfriend for her Class Reunion. After giving up with everyone she knew, she tried an online dating service, where she met Trace Russell. However, he planned to keep his name secret from Ashton until after the Reunion.
In order to be her fake boyfriend, he suggested they spend time together during the week before the Class Reunion. Secretly he did not want to give her up.
She intrigued him and he wanted to make her feel more at ease with herself instead of the nerd she thought she was.
There was so much happening before the Reunion and after, you need to read the story to see how it unfolds.
I like a little suspense to the stories I read and this one did not fail me. I kept wondering what would happen next and what would be the outcome.
I believe this is my favorite of Lindsey Harts books that I have read.

Wonderful book! This book is creative, unique and funny. It is a quick read which held my attention from the first to last page. The characters are endearing and so very human. I was sorry when the book ended since I would like to read on about Trace and Ash. This was my first book by Lindsey Hart, but I plan to purchase additional books authored by her in the near future.
I voluntarily provided this review for the ARC book I received.
Ash is coming up on her 10 year reunion and wants to have a boyfriend for it, maybe this time around she wont be the brunt of the jokes. When Ash gets involved in Trace she finds out who he really is and could it really be that bad? Another amazing book with the dating app and lands this couple where they should be.

So I have compassion for Ashton as my own class reunion looms in my near future.
Ashton is in a panic as her 10 year reunion is in a week and she doesn’t want to go solo. She was a target of viscous verbal abuse while in HS. She seeks a “fake boyfriend ” on a dating site. She finds a possible answer in Mr. Nightshadow.
Mr. Nightshadow agree to go as her date.
I really enjoyed the “secret” Trace was holding. I cannot imagine the pain of constantly dealing with fake people. I GREATLY liked that this manly, manly definitely had female characteristics. This to me made him more real. Men do have feelings.
This was not a super long book but it did keep my attention from start to finish.
I read this book voluntarily FREE to give my honest opinion.
Yes, I will seek out this author again some predictable parts and some sheer perfect.
An entertaining heartwarming, sweet and sexy read that is well written. This entertaining story includes misunderstandings, angst, and touches on bullying.
I loved the bantering and witty comments between these characters that are realistic, loveable and well developed. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.

I like Ash she is amazing. I like that she has not filter and just says what she is thinking at the time. That takes guts. I love the effect Trace has on Ash. I think it is cute I really like this story. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
What a great addition to the series. You hated high school as you were the nerdy, geeky picked on kid. Now its your ten year reunion…..to attend and show them all how awesome you now are! I think that is everyone’s thought. This is no different for Ashton. Yes, as if life didn’t screw her over enough her parents named her one of those unisex names before the tend really started. Ashton is a great woman, she is a successful writer, she works in a comic book store, she has great teeth – thanks to the braces and she is truly beautiful inside and out. However, she sees the panicking high school girl walking into the reunion and she feels she needs a hot date – fake boyfriend should do the job. This is the story of how Ashton goes about finding this fake boyfriend and falling in love for real. Trace wants a real date, not a woman how sees him as a bank. He creates a profile on an online dating site and is hoping for the best. Ashton sees his profile and contacts him. They meet and he agrees to help her. This is an awesome story of how fake dating can get real really fast. It also is a reminder that just because the one person you are attracted to doesn’t recognize you, doesn’t mean no one else will. Does this destroy Ashton and Trace’s HEA?

Mr. Nightshadow
Ashton has been the victim of bullying in school and needs a date for her 10 year class reunion.
Mr. Nightshadow, Trace, has been the victim of to many gold diggers and would like to meet someone that wants him for himself.
Ash and Trace meet on an online dating website and agree to meet. He’s blown away from the moment he sees her and realizes that she ordered him a drink along with her own. He makes the decision that she’s going to be his and that he’s going to make her believe in herself and how beautiful she is to him.
Ash takes him home to meet her family and finds out that he has gone along although he’s not feeling in the best of health, can be a good loser at games and that he gets the members of her family and they all get along well.
Trace doesn’t tell her before the reunion who he actually is or that he’s a Billionaire and everything comes to light at the reunion when Ash’s worst nemesis recognizes Trace and has everyone at the reunion laughing and making fun of her. Ash runs out and Trace follows to explain, whereupon she decks him and realizes everyone has their phones out recording everything. Ash stands up for herself and everyone else that has ever been bullied and the videos go viral. Her friend Maggie drives her home so that she doesn’t have to be with Trace.
Trace doesn’t know how he’s going to be able to get her back and when his mother and sister show up to find out how he is doing because he hasn’t answered his phone or texts, his sister gives him an idea for getting Ash back after explaining that chocolates and flowers wouldn’t work.
I LOVED THIS STORY. I wish I could give it a 6 star rating. From Beginning to end this book held my interest and kept me spellbound. The story line was enchanting to say the least. It was something a lot of readers could possibility relate to in one way or another.
The book held angst, laughter, fun, serious topics even in todays sometimes cruel world, and steam. I personally can not ask for more in a book. I received an ARC copy of this book and am leaving my honest review voluntarily.
I was so very sorry when I hit that last page. Great job Lindsey Hart!
Needing a fake date for her high school reunion
Ash needs a fake date for her ten year reunion to show the bullies that tormented her high school that she isn’t a loser that they thought she was. She uses a online dating app to find a fake date and she gets matched with Trace. When they talk she tells about the bullying in high school and her reunion. He agrees to go with her because he’d had the same thing happen to him. They have a great time and get closer until a lie by omission happens and it all blows up! Will they figure things out?

This is a heart-warming, sweet and sexy book to read.
The storyline is mostly fun with serious tones regarding high school bullying and intimidation.
Blake was great, except his need to lie by omission of his wealth.
I thought the epilogue was the best part of a fantastic story.
I recommend this heart-warming, sweet and sexy read.

I liked Trace. I liked Ash. I thought it was sad that Ash was so desperate that she didn’t even bother to do a Google search for Trace, especially after writing the “diarrhea of the mouth” or brain letter. Lol.
Although bullying was the underlying theme, the story managed to be pretty lighthearted. The secondary characters were interesting, with the exception of her former classmates.
The conversations between Ash and Trace, the ones between Ash and Jason, and Trace and Jennie all had an element of humor, albeit 7 year old boy humor.
Trace and Ash had great chemistry. I wish there were more moments when they interacted outside the bedroom, but they clicked. I was actually very surprised by the reaction Ash had when she found out about Trace’s identity. I wasn’t surprised she was upset, I expected that one. I was surprised about everything else.
A fast paced read where Trace and Ash manage to capture their HEA.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received from Booksprout.
Loved it! Who knew searching for a fake boyfriend could be so harrowing? Great that the “eyes” drew her in. Mr Nightshadow is a gem of a man with a few secrets of his own. Will they succeed in their fake relationship or will it become real? Have to read to find out. Great story, absolutely love the ending. Can’t wait to read more by you, Lindsey Hart.
