When sports agent Carter Crawford and supermodel Vale Martin meet, they have an instant connection and a really fun night together. Their relationship goes like this:She calls and says she’s in town.He tells her to stop by. They both know what that means. And it is amazing. Every time. She doesn’t want a commitment. So, he does something crazy and buys a ring. But instead of surprising Vale with a … ring.
But instead of surprising Vale with a proposal, Carter sees her kissing another man and leaves without telling her.
After months of not speaking, Vale doesn’t call Carter.
She stops by.
And begs him to pretend to be her fiancé at her little sister’s wedding.
And even though Carter knows he’s about to do something crazy again, he agrees.
Because there is nothing fake about the way he still feels about her.

This was such a sweet, fun, second-chance romance and I enjoyed every single second of it!
Carter and Vale have a history but have never been in a steady relationship. They would hook-up whenever they could and the chemistry between them would be explosive, but they both lead such busy lives with careers that have them both travelling often so it was never anything more. And then New Year’s happened …. and that was the end of that.
After an abrupt end to their relationship and months of not talking, Vale is desperate and convinces Carter to go home with her for her little sister’s wedding and pretend to be her fake fiancé. But of course it isn’t that simple. Sparks fly between the two, Carter is easily welcomed into the family, but they’re both still having a hard time putting their past behind them.
This book was such a smooth, easy read that had me smiling throughout. It was so easy to get lost in the story and caught up in all the emotions the characters are going through and dealing with.
I loved watching their relationship develop and grow, and I absolutely adore Carter and Vale as a couple!
This is the third book in the Crawford brothers series and although you could certainly read it as a stand-alone, I would highly recommend reading the others first as their is some character crossover and backstories mentioned.
I am a huge fan of the Crawford brothers, so I was excited about this one! I loved everything about it. The drama, the unpredictability, the romance, the dynamic between the characters, really there isn’t much to complain about. I hope that Chloe and Blake end up being a couple in the next book, if there is going to be one. Love it!
While this is a book 3 of a series, it can be read as a standalone. Vale and Carter have chemistry from the beginning, but they just can’t seem to get their timing right until fate steps in and helps them out. Such a fun, quick fake engagement (but by no means faking being in love) read.
Fake Love • Crawford Brothers Book 3

Not gonna lie, I’ve been crushing on Carter since book 1. Reading his story just sealed the deal- he is the perfect guy, I’m not even kidding. His love and loyalty to Vale, even when he was upset, melted my heart. Loved his interactions with Vale’s family….it was sweet, sarcastic, and hilarious. The ending had me in tears…of joy Seriously looking forward to Chloe’s story!
Carter & Vale
Carter is the middle Crawford brother. He is a former college quarterback and a successful sports agent. After watching his brothers fall in love and get married (in Vegas Love and Broken Love), Carter is ready for a Happily Ever After of his own. He was ready to propose to Vale just a few months ago but it didn’t go as planned.
Vale is a supermodel. Her busy life traveling around the world and her complicated relationship with her family make her hate the idea of “settling down” with anyone. Carter is the only man Vale has ever loved and he’s been avoiding her for months.
Desperate for a date to her little sister’s wedding Vale ends up on Carter’s doorstep begging him to come to the wedding as her fake fiancé and to act as a buffer between her and her parents.
Fake Love has the perfect mix of push and pull between the characters to draw me in. Carter and Vale had me smiling, laughing, and tearing up right along with them.
I really enjoyed the Crawford Brothers series. I was really looking forward to Carter and Vale’s story after getting teasers of their relationship in the first two books.
Highlights: Continuing with the series crossovers, Danny Diamond and Jennifer Edwards from That Love / That Ring are mentioned in this book. Carter is Danny’s agent. If you haven’t read the That Boy Series, add it to your TBR today!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a fun, quick fake engagement story that had some great characters.
Vale is an independent woman who leaves home early for a modeling career much to her parents dismay. She has to head home for her sister’s wedding and talks her old fling, Carter, into going with her. The relationships that she has with some of her family members are complicated and she has to navigate some bruised feelings from the past.
Vale’s family has a sophisticated farm and the imagery was so vivid that it felt like I was there.
The thing about Jillian’s books are that you always get such descriptive writing and the whole wedding weekend felt whimsical to me.
Enjoyed the fun side characters as well, like a cheeky Grandma and a sassy niece.
Awwww…this story had so many feels for me! I’ve adored the Crawford brothers and Carter’s story was worth the wait. Miscommunications, wrong timing and no commitment sent mixed messages between Carter and Vale. With the heavy sparks between these two, it’s not surprising that a fake fiancé and wedding fiasco is all it takes to bring them back together. I loved all the sweet family moments where Carter’s attributes couldn’t help but shine. Steamy hot, master negotiator, yummy athlete, sweet with children…do I need to go on? Because I can brag on Carter all darn day. I loved the funny, angsty, scorching moments. All of the story. A perfect second chance romance with all my favorite characters pulling it together in a sparkly pink bow.
