When sports agent Carter Crawford and supermodel Vale Martin meet, they have an instant connection and a really fun night together. Their relationship goes like this:She calls and says she’s in town.He tells her to stop by. They both know what that means. And it is amazing. Every time. She doesn’t want a commitment. So, he does something crazy and buys a ring. But instead of surprising Vale with a … ring.
But instead of surprising Vale with a proposal, Carter sees her kissing another man and leaves without telling her.
After months of not speaking, Vale doesn’t call Carter.
She stops by.
And begs him to pretend to be her fiancé at her little sister’s wedding.
And even though Carter knows he’s about to do something crazy again, he agrees.
Because there is nothing fake about the way he still feels about her.

Let’s talk about this book. I read it today and loved it. It gives that small town feel and some of our favorite characters from past books get mentioned or make an appearance. I don’t know how Jillian does it, but I feel like I know the characters personally while reading her books. They just have so much to their character and always feel so down to earth. If you’re in the mood for a sweet second chance romance, I definitely recommend.
I loved Carter and Vale’s story. So emotional and romantic. A reminder that sometimes the only person holding you back is yourself.
This second chance romance was great and definitely worth the wait! With being in college and about ready to graduate I don’t have all the free time like I used to have but of course when choosing what to read Jillian’s books always can entertain me. I couldn’t put it down if I am being honest and it was a great quick read. Even though Fake love is part of a series it can be read alone but honestly go back to the beginning of series!!
I have been waiting on Carter’s story for what feels like forever and it was everything I could have ever wanted.
It was romantic, funny, steamy, and whimsical. I love a good second chance story. It was great to watch the characters grow together. While a fake engagement to real lovers story is common, Jillian did a fantastic job at making it stand out and different. Could not recommend a better author and this book is definitely a must read!
This is book 3 in the Crawford Brothers series. It can be read as a stand-alone but you get to see some background about Carter and Vale in the first 2 books a bit. I enjoyed reading there story about Fake Love that really wasn’t fake. I was glad to see things worked out as they did.
Love this second chance romance! It’s a great pool side, rain weekend read. I couldn’t put it down. I absolutely love the Crawford boys and was so excited to see another book had come out! Even though it’s part of a series it can be read alone!! So pick it up you won’t regret it!
I’ve been patiently waiting for Vale and Carters book and I am not disappointed. Trying to stay away from each other doesn’t work out exactly how they planned. The love Carter has for Vale is amazing and makes me want love that like. He does his best to prove to her, that his love is not fake.
Jillian did it again with her beautiful words. A story that pulls you win from page one and you can’t put down. You get the full effect of swoon-worthy with a twist of a little drama (because what love story doesn’t have a little of that)
It is no secret that I have loved Jillian Dodd for years, even before joining bookstagram.
All of her books are amazing, but if you’re wanting more “adult” books that are a little heavier on the steam, I HIGHLY recommend her Crawford Brother series.
These boys, I tell ya, they are full on swoon worthy.
Book 3 in this series released Tuesday, April 20th, and if you haven’t snagged it yet, you need to!
Carter and Vale’s story is such a good one and had me an emotional wreck the entire time.
I honestly loved this story so much and I really think y’all will too!
Thanks so much Jillian for writing the best books and letting me read them!

I had so much fun reading Fake Love. Carter is definitely my favorite Crawford brother and is oh so swoonworthy! I absolutely love Vale! This book definitely did not disappoint. Great characters and a sweet story!! I loved getting to experience them getting their second chance! Must read!
Fake Love, the third Crawford Brothers is here to make you fall in love again. He like his brother is a totally romantic guy. Vale is a mess but she get to put everything in place to be really happy. I love reading this story. I love Jillian’s books and I love The Crawford Brothers too!
I absolutely LOVED this book. All the characters.. all the drama. I loved not knowing what was going to happen next. I loved how we got to meet new people and got to hear from old characters from other books. I would highly recommend this book. But BEWARE once you start you may not be able to put it down until you are finished. There was so many details in this book. I felt like I was right there with them. I could picture everything perfectly in my head. I hope there is more books of the Crawford family. I would even love some from The Martin family … hint hint Jillian. You will not be disappointed with this book.

Stephanie’s 5 Star Review:
Jillian Dodd
This is the third book in the ‘Crawford Brothers’ series but can be read as a stand-alone. What happens when you fake an engagement for a long weekend when months ago you wanted to ask her to marry you? This is another great book from one of my favorite authors Jillian Dodd. She doesn’t disappoint in this sweet, fun, and swoon-worthy book.
Vale and Carter were in a hook-up, no commitment type of relationship and Carter always wanted more but was afraid to ask for it. He planned to ask her to marry him and misunderstandings and hurt feelings cause the two to not talk for months. Now Vale is at his doorstep asking for his help and he can’t tell her no. This leads Vale and Carter to be fake engaged and heading to her sister’s wedding.
I loved this book. I read it cover to cover in a few hours. I love Carter and his love for Vale. Vale knows she loves Carter but is afraid of fading into the background if they become a couple. I loved reading about Vale and her family. I loved everything about this book. It was a sweet romantic read.
Another fantastic book by Jillian.
Carter was ready to settle down, but Vale blew those plans out of the water. All due to miscommunication.
Fast forward a few months, Vale is Desperate (with a capital D). You see her baby sis, the angel of the family is getting married. And you all know you can’t duck out of a family wedding.
Vale reaches out to Carter for a massive save me.
Carter who has been pining for the one that got away, accepts this offer.
Does he sweeten the game plan or stay on the sidelines.
Will the playbooks merge and score the ultimate touchdown or do they have a blow out?
So sweet and swoon worthy! Absolute must read.
I love this book. It was funny, sweet, romantic, and sad. It had all the feels in it. I’m going to start a reread of all the books in this series soon
Carter and Vale have a history of very steamy booty calls. Vale is usually the one making the calls when she is back in town in between travelling or modelling shoots and Carter is more than willing to answer. Over time he has grown feelings for her and thinks she feels the same way until one night changes things and he walks away from any thoughts he ever had of a future with her.
A few months later Vale comes knocking on Carter’s door on bended knees, begging him to help her out and pretend to be her fake fiance at her sister’s wedding. He should say no, close the door and save himself from more heartbreak. When it comes to Vale though, he just can’t seem to resist her convincing sob story and he really has no idea what he is in for.
Faking love with Vale in front of her family is no hardship at all, in fact it comes naturally for him seeing as he is still completely in love with her. He knows she doesn’t feel the same way but he will enjoy what he can get with her over the weekend, knowing that they will once again part ways. The only hard part is deceiving her family which really goes against his moral compass.
Vale has always felt not good enough in her father’s eyes. Despite having a successful career and being financially independent, he always tries to impress on her how much she really needs to return home and settle down. She is proud of what she has done in her career and his attitude towards it all infuriates her. This doesn’t bode well for a happy family wedding weekend.
Carter finds himself thrown into the deep end of the Martin family dynamics, using his negotiation skills as a sports agent to calm the waters. He has definitely made a great first impression of them all. Now all he needs to do is convince Vale that there is nothing fake about what they are feeling and that if she is willing to take a chance on him, she will find out that real love with Carter is what she has been missing all along.
I actually liked the angst in this one. Normally it gets on my nerves but being at the wedding and actually SEEING the WHY of the angst instead of just hearing about it made it easier to deal with.
I LOVE Carter! He’s such a great guy and all the things he does for Vale and her family over the weekend is a true representation of his character. Anyone would be lucky to have a guy like that loving and looking out for them.
Fake Love was another satisfying read by Jillian Dodd!
Really fun, really cute, quick read with some great characters and a good story. If you love marriage of convenience with a little second chance romance thrown in this is the book for you.
Absolutely fantastic! This book was such a beautiful well written entertaining love story! It had twists and turns, as Vale needs Carter to be her fake fiancé as she nervously goes back home to face the dreaded storm, also known as her family, for her little sisters wedding.
Vale and Carter are full of, on again/off again history, even to the point where Carter was going to propose but finds Vale kissing someone else. So he runs away, protecting his heart! Fast forward Vale nervous to go back home, she convinces Carter to be her fake fiancé!
Such a clever plot to the amazing second chance love story! The book had me laughing, yelling at Vale because Carter is the absolute perfect man and sobbing. There were points in the book that wicked pulled at my heartstrings! This book was amazing, Jillian Dodd has such a beautiful way with words! Her books grab your attention from page one. This is a captivating love story that you won’t want to miss! Must read!!!
I really enjoyed this book! I am all about fake relationships, especially when there’s a history between the two characters. Carter was the perfect hero. I was swooning from the beginning. I also liked Vale, even though I was mad at her for parts of the book. I laughed, I cried, and now I am going to read the other Crawford Brothers books!
Oh my!!! I laughed, swooned, and cried while reading about Carter and Vale. I hope to one day fall in love like all of Jillian’s characters. Jillian will leave you wanting more. If you love fake wedding dates, second chances and family drama then you will love this story. There are so many vivid details that you can watch the story unfold in your mind like a movie
