Lydia has been best friends with Hunter for years and nothing can change that. But when she has to go to her sister’s wedding and needs a date what is she to do as she has no boyfriend and the dating app was a waste of time? Enter Hunter, her knight in shining armour. Weddings are not usually his ‘thing’ but he is prepared to be her ‘fake’ boyfriend just this once. But what happens when fake seems to be so real? Kate Hunt has magically created these two characters for us to enjoy in their love story. They are very believable and fun! It is a well paced story that is written well and I loved the banter between them. A truly wonderful HEA. I’m looking forward to reading more of her stories. Will he dance with her forever or just this once
Fake It With Me is a very sweet and quick story with just a nice touch of sizzle to it. Hunter and Lydia are both twenty-threes years old and have been best friends since they were in elementary school. They see each other every afternoon when they meet at their favorite coffee shop to work, her as a romance writer and he as a computer programmer. Lydia’s older sister is getting married and she needs a date to go with and it has to be someone she can pass off as a boyfriend. After swiping through all the available candidates and not finding anyone suitable Hunter offers to be her fake boyfriend. I mean how hard can it be? Hold hands a bit, look into each others eyes, be attentive and it is done. But over the course of things they soon find themselves having thoughts that are a little to “friendly” for each other. Then there is the little incident after a slow dance at the reception when they are way more than friends. Will it ruin everything between them or will they decide they really are meant to be more than friends?
This is a great story of the best friends who face the fact that maybe they really are meant to be something much more and long lasting. I found myself engaged with this story and both characters, as the book is dual POV. I would recommend this for everyone who would like a fun and light short story to read.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

A well-fleshed out book of great friends who will do anything for each other. These characters are well+written and grow in their friendship and into a real loving relationship. But how long can it really last and did they mess up their friendship forever. A really good storyline with realistic theme and characters. a must read

A quick, fun, and sweet read! A lovely story to go to bed with at the end of a long day.
As long-standing best friends, surely it would be easy enough to fool others into thinking they’re a real couple, on a real date, at the wedding? This is Lydia and Hunter’s aim… Can they pull it off?
If they happen to share a kiss, will their friendship be compromised? Jeopardised? Will things ever be the same for this very likable couple?
I would recommend this one, and I’m looking forward to reading more of Kate’s work.

Lydia and Hunter have been best friends forever. When Lydia can not find a date to the wedding of her sister, Hunter agrees to go. All is going well until she gets him out on the dance floor. During the first slow dance, he pulls her close and they end up kissing. This was such a sweet quick read.

This is the first book that I have read from this author and I am not sure why it took me so long. This is a friends to lovers/fake relationship romance. Hunter and Lydia have been friends for a while and when she needed a date to her sister’s wedding, she asks Hunter if he would do it and he agrees. This book was a quick read but worth it. I will be reading more of her work.

This is a friends to lovers romance with no angst or drama. It’s short and perfect. Love that it only took a day for Lydia and Hunter to realize they were always it for each other.

This was a truly sweet, quick read. The main characters, Hunter & Lydia, had been best friends for so long that the other was almost non-gender…almost! Hunt displays her amazing writing ability as she conveys their level of friendly intimacy via the unspoken understandings they share. However, it was the same unspoken tendency that lead to misunderstanding when they were in new and unchartered waters. When the ability to “just know” what the other was thinking was gone, worry and dread drifted in to fill the void.
Would these best-friends regain their footing and return to the comfort of what was known? Would they take a chance to see if there really was something more than just friendship between them? Had they destroyed what they had/might have had forever? Definately pick this book up for yourself. Highly recommend the light, low angst read that you will likely enjoy over and over!
I did receive this as an ARC but that is no way effected my review of this book.
When Lydia needs a date for her sisters wedding her best friend Hunter is just the guy to pretend to be her boyfriend….
This book was really sweet! Fake relationships is one of my favorite tropes and this one was done really well. I liked that Hunter did things for Lydia even if he didn’t want to do them. I loved the friendship they had! I enjoyed that it didn’t take forever for them to realize they want to be together. The epilogues were really cute! I look forward to more from this author. If you enjoy fake relationships that turn real then this is the book for you!

Love how best friends finally come together and it is no surprise they are perfect for each other. Nice how easily a switch is flipped and you recognize everything you’ve wanted has been right in front of you along. Lovely ending for this couple and how their lives have developed of the years.

This is a really good friends to lovers romance, it’s a fast-paced quick to read novella. It’s well-written with wonderful likable and relatable characters. Hunter and Lydia have been best friends since forever and when she needs a date to her sisters wedding Hunter offers to fake a relationship and go with her. I really enjoyed this story.

Hunter and Lydia have been best friends for years. When Lydia needs a date for her sisters wedding, Hunter suggests himself. They’re best friends so surely they can convince Lydia’s family they’re a couple, right?
What they don’t expect is the passion that flares between them when they share a kiss while dancing. If they give in to the attraction what will become of their friendship? Can they turn their friendship to something more lasting?
This was a really quick read but was actually pretty good. If looking for something quick to read I recommend this one.

I really enjoyed this book. The story was awesome as were the characters. Hunter and Lydia have been friends since they were kids. Hunter decides to help Lydia by being her fake date to her sister’s wedding. Lydia appreciates the offer as she had no luck finding someone within 50 miles on the dating app she was using. They go to the wedding and things develop between them. There is a little angst after the wedding, but it gets figured out. Loved the happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.
