Having Cecilia as a mom?? Ummm no thanks!! So why did Max think he would fool her with the fake fiancée and best friend Katie…who he hadn’t been in contact with for over eight years?? Tragic. Cue the mean girl Megan and you have a big mess waiting to blow up. How clueless was she to think Max still wanted her…bless her heart!! Katie got her man and gained a new friend…in Megan!! Go figure…I totally love the Pecan Grove series!!

Max and Katie were best friends until something happened their senior year of high school. Now drawn back together looking for a date to an old friend’s wedding the two agree to an arrangement to arrive engaged to appease mothers who can’t stop meddling. But with old feelings rearing up, an ex girl friend that can’t keep her hands to herself, friends and family that can see the truth even Max and Katie can’t, and a contract neither really wants these two old friends need a serious intervention!
This book was cute and entertaining but where it fell flat for me was how much Max vacillates between the sexy yet rude ex girl friend that wants him back and the adorably charming long-time friend he has always adored and trusted. It’s no wonder Katie gave up on him so many times.

There are many books that have been written about friends who are unsure about taking that step into a romantic relationship for fear of losing that friendship. Natasha Queen successfully explores the range of feelings between Max and Katie and takes us on a roller coaster ride of emotions. The two main characters have the opportunity to reconnect after years with no contact, so the journey is both thrilling and scary. It is a realistic look into how people and expectations change as the characters grow up and mature, and what each is willing to sacrifice for love. A great read!

Katie and Max were childhood friends. For Katie it was more than friendship, he was her first love but Max had a girlfriend so she kept her feelings to herself. Almost a decade later they were both invited to a friend’s wedding. Katie needed a date and her friend suggested Max who was also thinking of her when he was deciding on a date for the wedding. By he needed more than just a date, he needed a fake fiancee to pull of the story he told his mother. Surrounded by old friends and old memories, will they be able to pull this off. This is a sweet clean romance.

Fake Fiance Fiasco” by Natasha Queen is true to its name. Here is another heart-stopping, second chance, sweet romance, to hold your undivided attention from start to finish. You will be so engrossed, spellbound and captivated that it will be virtually impossible for you to put the book down. The two main characters, Katie and Max spring to life with amazing resilience, sparkling wit and humor. Natasha’s characters are so realistically portrayed and skillfully delineated that you will happily follow the lives of these sensitive people, who choose true love above all else, to be the guiding light of their lives. Katie’s unrequited love, spanning decades, is richly rewarded when Max finally realizes that she is the only person who really loves him for who he is. The human heart always recognizes the authentic nature of true love. Natasha’s books are emblazoned with the ring of truth. She is a truly gifted and talented author, who describes true love in her books exactly as it exists in real life. I highly recommend this book to all who want to read about true love in the printed word and its digital formats.
