I gave this book 5 starts
This is book 2 of the South Side Boys series. This is Kalum and Tori’s love story. OMG this was such an emotional, sexy, at time funny romance novel it also had it’s very serious tear jerking moments. What a wonderful surprise of a series….loved it from beginning to end!
Thank You Alexis Winters

Kalum and Tori don’t do relationships, but when they meet there is an instant attraction on both their parts. Both have pasts that make them keep people at arms length. Well written storyline and draws the reader in. Good ending.
In the first chapter they play Never Have I Ever and the main character complains that her best friend has never had a one night stand. And then it goes downhill from there. I couldn’t finish. Too painful.
Dear Alexis Winter–you are quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!! I have really enjoyed the South Side Boys series so far. The love and devotion the main characters have for one another is perfection. Alexis really knows how to make your heart melt and then add JUST enough angsty to make your heart race but not enough where you feel like your going to rip your hair out! I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!!!
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more with twists and turns. Tori and Kalum the chemistry between them is intense hot and steamy with emotions that makes you feel like you are on a rollercoaster ride.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

This is the second story in the South Side Boys series. You don’t have to read the first story, DAMAGED, about Annabelle and Jaxson, to understand this story, but you will get introduced to the characters in this story and you can understand a bit more.
Tori is now the manager of the coffee shop, Perks, when Annabelle leaves to be with Jaxson. They are totally different girls. Tori is outspoken and not shy. She loves living in Chicago but when she has to go back to the small town in Wisconsin for her class reunion, she is dreading it. Tori and Kalum are always butting heads when their group of friends get together. She always bets him, and she always wins. She gets him to be her pretend boyfriend for her class reunion and things change between them.
Kalum has always played it loose, no relationships. He has a secret that he has been keeping from everyone because everyone could get hurt from it. When he gets pressured to do things he doesn’t want to do, so he can stay out of jail, he tries to keep Tori out of the picture before she gets hurt because of him. He hates to keep her at arms length, but he must.

Great series
Tori is a sassy and feisty woman, often speaks before thinking and doesn’t do relationships.
. Kalum is also outspoken and doesn’t do relationship.
When they met they are really attracted to each other.
There is action, some suspense, secrets, twists and turns.
This series is so good and each story can be read as a standalone.

OMG, this was such an awesome book! Tori and Kallum have a volatile friendship, where Tori loves to antagonize Kallum when they get together with their mutual friends. Kallum is the silent, brooding type of man. When Tori needs a man to accompany her to her class reunion (as a protector and fake boyfriend), Kallum agrees to accompany her. Sparks begin to fly between them and they decide to become friends with benefits, but they also agree to keep their relationship very private. They both begin to develop much deeper feelings for each other, but Kallum has a secret that he can’t reveal to anyone….a secret that could endanger Tori and his brother Maverick, not to mention himself. The only way to protect Tori is to break off their relationship and break Tori’s heart. Kallum has no other choice until he can resolve his current problem. This is a beautiful and moving story, well worth reading. I highly recommend reading The Southside Boys stories from the 1st book because so far they can’t!

Broken and Healed by Love
Broken, Alexis Winter’s second installment (but able to be read alone) in the South Side Boys story. Tory Brennan was not meant for small town life; the idea of leaving Chicago and returning to Wisconsin for even one weekend to attend the combined “reunion” of several graduating classes is challenging. But, even more challenging than her weekend return to the past, is keeping her “date”—Kalum West—from doing damage to her heart. Tory’s best friend, Annabelle, is engaged to Kalum’s best friend, Jaxson, so the two are constantly thrown together. They do their best to stay in their own lanes, but the two are drawn to each other, and a weekend out of their clear “friend zone” allows the barriers to drop.
Kalum and his brother Maverick are the owners of a successful garage, and within weeks of opening a second garage. Life does offer second chances for the brothers who spent time in prison for their youthful involvement with a mob chop shop operation. The mechanical skills of Kal and Mav’s ability to circumvent the most sophisticated electronic car protection programs made them valuable members of the car boosting enterprise. But now, life is good, or it would be if the past’s bad choices would stay in the past.
Tory’s weekend away with Kal sets them on a collision course with their past lives and their present attraction. Secrecy becomes their choice to cope. They return from Wisconsin, no longer friends of friends, but lovers with a secret to keep from their friends. Hiding their growing emotional involvement is possible, but hearts and spirits are at risk when the Kalum’s past threatens to break everything.
Alexis Winter continues her engaging story of friends seeking their futures, but also discovering love. With strong characters facing the challenges of life, the story is well crafted and the characters complex. I look forward to following the experiences of the friends.

This is the 2nd book in this riveting series, and is Tori and Kalum’s story. These two are like oil and water, and both as stubborn as each other. When Kalum loses a bet he had to escort Tori to her high school reunion as a date. This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, as well as having secrets, danger, and love. I was totally captivated throughout this engaging and addictive page turner, and look forward to reading more from this talented author.
This is another South Side Boy looking to find his happy ever after. Tori runs the coffee shop. Alpha female, smart, confident, smart mouthed and ball busting female. Kalum alpha male. Kalum has a secret that could destroy everyone life. When the two gets together the pages of the book starts to catch fire. Two people not wanting a relationship end up on that road, blazing a trail to each other. Losing a bet Kalum has to take Tori to her class reunion. Ms Winter did a fantastic job on bring these two together and their story. There was enough drama to keeping you turning the page to find out what the secret is. How it going to affect everyone and who will survive the truth. Kalum in parts of the story was a pure a****** but he redeem himself. When eavesdropping make sure you get the whole story and not part of it, that was Tori fault. This is another great and entertaining book by Ms Winters.

6 STARS–Tori and Kalum are HOT HOT HOT!!
But will they last?? That’s the question. That’s what this fantastic story is about.
The story line is more than solid and unique, it is well told and real. The author takes us on a journey with Tori and her friends who we meet early in the book. Each character has much to give to the telling of the story. Kalum enters the picture in the first chapter as well. I wasn’t so sure about him from the start. I slowly came to like him and could ‘read between the lines’ into his personality to begin to see where he was going with Tori.
This author has a way with writing that I found it easy to become very engaged with the words on the page. The story enters my head and I’m stuck reading until the story finally lets me go at books end. Not before! Not until my mind is satisfied with the ending. Only to want to know about the next chapter of their lives. That’s a hint for a book 2 for the author.
I am a fan of Alexis Winter. This book cements that ‘fandom’. I loved it!
