This was a sweet short story. It was easy to read in a short time. In my opinion, the book read more like a Reader’s Digest condensed version. It seemed like there was a lot of detail left out of the middle of the story. I felt like there was a good beginning setting up the characters and the plot, and then we had a very few basic facts in the middle and a decent finish. I would like to see an expanded version of this story come out. I received a complimentary copy of this book, but have freely chosen to offer my own opinions.
Faith struggles with weight and abandonment issues. Patrick struggles with loss and life as a single dad. When their paths cross, they may have a second chance. Patrick is coordinating a fundraiser run for CF research, and Faith reconnects with her past love of running in order to address her weight and become more confident. As always, in a Mary Manners book, I really liked the characters; they are always so relatable.
I would really have liked to hear Manners talk more about Faith overcoming her struggles; they seemed to just magically disappear when she began running. I think the healing process is very important, and appreciated seeing a very realistic issue.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A fantastic read that really grabs the heart strings. I love the story building and the Character building as well. This is definitely a read I recommend, I could not put this read down until I finished it.

She joins a racing team, and ends up paired for training by the man who started the fundraiser!
Faith has a background of traveling from one foster family to the next as a child, and she stumbles upon Dash for the Dream, where a group of runners join together to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis research. Patrick is a widower, who created the foundation, and offers to help Faith by being her running partner for the race. This is a beautiful story, and is well written by author Mary Manners! I highly recommend it!
I enjoyed this romance. I was inspired to start running again! I really enjoyed the training focus with additional focuses on family and a touch of CF. It was an enjoyable book to breeze through.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Mary Manners writes books with such relatable characters, and I could really relate to Faith. She turned to eating to fill up the loneliness. I loved Patrick because he saw Faith for who she was, not what she looked like and thought she was beautiful even when she was overweight. What a wonderful picture of the way God sees us. I would recommend this book.
I received a digital copy of this book from the author and was not required to write a positive review.
A charming story filled with God’s grace and how He orchestrates our lives in the most beautiful way. Faith and Patrick struggle with different issues while their paths cross once again leading to a possible second chance romance. Faith discovers her outer beauty while Patrick comes to grips of raising his child alone. Sweet Aubree brings joy the adults with her charming self while battling CF. A disease in which Patrick is determined to find a cure. He’s the leader to the Dash for a Dream marathon in which Faith participants in and together in more ways than one, it’s a win for all involved. Ms Manners has touched the hearts of these characters and mended them together so eloquently.
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for my own honest review.
Lovely story! Enjoyed getting to know Faith and Patrick and their story. She and Patrick had been friends in High School, but lost touch. When Faith sees a flyer to run a half-marathon for CF, they meet again. Wonderful characters, I wanted to go sit in the diner and get a slice of pie from Vera and people watch. If you like clean stories with heart, you can’t go wrong with ‘Faith’s Favor’. I highly recommend. I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.
