Skylar moves 700 miles away from all of her memories and rebuilds in the North Carolina town of Jacksonville, which is a military town. She becomes successful with the purchase of her second business, a bar that is named The Bar where she meets its cocky neighbor, Tanner. Tanner owns a vehicle and motorcycle repair and restoration business right next to the bar.Tanner is pretty much your typical … your typical playboy, though he is upfront with his one-night stands and never leads anyone on. He has no desire to settle down after going through his own traumatic childhood. He doesn’t really trust women, but for some reason, Skylar gets under his skin. They butt heads, yet deep down, neither can deny the chemistry that is there.
Skylar is not ready for a relationship, and she’d never even think about dating someone like Tanner, who she sees as someone who could never be faithful or loyal and doesn’t deserve someone like her, someone who when she gives her heart, she gives it completely.
Will Skylar be able to finally move on and let anyone in again?
Will Tanner be able to trust a woman, settle down, and be faithful?

This book gave me all the feels with the outstanding storyline and characters that were so well created that I was totally in awe of every page that I turned!
Completely fell in love with Skyler and Tanner story. To see the emotional side of this book was devastating but worth the tears.
This is the 1st book I’ve read written by Stormy Leigh; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I shed a few tears and laughed a lot. The strength of the heroine was great though her heart was shattered for so long. It was almost a coming of age romance because she did so much growing up during this story, and the same could be said for the hero. It was an interesting dynamic between the two characters from the first time they meet until their happily ever after. There were some sappy moments that were necessary because love is like that. And there were moments that had me laughing out loud because love is also like that. The progression of the story from beginning to end was difficult for the heroine, and knowing that some of this story was based on the author’s life was even more impactful. It was sweet, sexy, steamy, heartbreaking, and had a romantic happy ending. I couldn’t help but love it.
I really liked this story. The characters were flawed yet likable and the story kept my interest all the way through. I look forward to reading more by this author in the future.

Skylar and Tanner have been hurt by their past but I didn’t like how judgmental they were. Their first impressions of each other doesn’t go off very well and just seems to get worse after that. I get they have issues and there is some grain of truth in their judgement of each other and other people but I think the message could have been delivered differently. They do get better as the story moves along but their first impressions left a bad taste in my mouth.
Skylar loses the love of her life, her soulmate, just before she turns 20. She can’t imagine life without him, so she leaves home in Ohio and heads for Jacksonville, NC. She owns a successful beauty salon, then buys a small bar from the retiring owner. Tanner owns the garage next door. His business is thriving, but he’s a total man-whore. His mother left him and his father when he was young, and he has trust issues. He’s shot down by Sky when he makes a move, but realizes that he wants her for the long haul, and sets out to prove to her that he’s changed his ways. This is just a beautiful story, so emotional, beginning with what is probably the most moving dedication ever. And the the book gets even better after that. Sky’s journey through the grieving process is just heart-wrenching, but she finally finds the closure she needs to move on. Tanner – omg – finds the strength to become a good man, the man that Sky needs him to be. Will needs tissues – lots. I’m looking forward to see what else this author brings us.

This book had some really good moments and some I didn’t love. The fact that the author has mingled fact and fiction together add a level of emotion you don’t normally have but then it’s to some degree cancelled out by the insta love aspect. I think if the story of Tanner and Sky had been more of a slow build it would have worked better rather than having only a few interactions then being practically being in love.
In all honesty I didn’t find Sky that nice a person, she was quite bitchy and possibly not the best business woman as she seemed to like to drink more than work at her new bar.
The story at times doesn’t flow and feels rushed for example she buys the bar on the Thursday and leaves it a few days later being run by a regular staff member and a practical stranger she has know for a few days. This would never happen in real life and these are the types of things that I feel cancel some of the real and raw emotions this book should have focused on.
Overall a good book but I feel the premise offered more than was actually delivered.
Within the first 2 minutes into this book I was tearing up because it was so gut wrenching. Watching Skylars and Tanners character development was so beautiful. Each scene was so descriptive that I felt like I was actually there. This story was so powerful and I was so captivated that I couldn’t put this book down.
How do live when you feel broken? Are you living, or existing? These questions and more are addressed in this debut novel by Stormy Leigh. Skyler has faced challenges in her life which left her broken. Facing a future far different than she dreamed, she learns life is so much more than existing. The relationships portrayed in this book are raw, honest and sometimes terribly painful, yet breathtaking in their beauty. Skyler meets her match in Tyler, who is also broken. Without spilling details, this story pushed me through a gamut of emotions. I cried, cheered, swooned and yelled at this story. It is well paced and keeps your attention through to the end. For a first novel, I’m simply blown away. I look forward to seeing what else is found in the mind of Ms. Leigh down the road.
Faithfully is a beautiful, emotional read. Skylar as a character is so relatable and her journey is so well written that you feel like you are travelling it with her. Tanner is Just dreamy and their relationship with so wonderful that I’m still smiling now. Great emotionally charged story with a lovely HEA. Bravo
