I met him at the end of my sword. Not the most romantic of introductions but it suited us. We’re both warriors; he’s a lord of the Wild Hunt of Fairy, and I’m an extinguisher—a psychic soldier trained from birth to protect our world from his kind. Attraction arced between us like lightning. I saw it in his eyes; watched them shift from frigid silver to molten metal. Despite all of that, I knew it … Despite all of that, I knew it could go nowhere. Fairies killed my mother and her death nearly destroyed my father. Then there’s the fact that extinguishers don’t date outside our society. A human would be bad enough, but a fairy? That’s not just frowned upon, it’s forbidden. We cannot be together. It’s impossible. And that’s fine. I’ve got bigger things to worry about. Like my new charge; a dryad who just informed us of a fairy plot to exterminate the human race. I’ll focus on her and ignore the wild thrumming of my blood every time I look at him. I’m a professional; I can handle one arrogant, annoying, stubborn, dangerously sexy fairy hunter who won’t stop staring at me as if I’m already his. I’m not one of his delicate, Fey ladies, longing to swoon into his arms. I carry an iron sword and iron is poison to Fairies. If he gets too close, he’ll be the one swooning.

I love it when I read the first book and get sucked into the series! I did nothing but read these books for three days. (Thanks to Bookbub for the discovery!)
Amy managed some unique differences in the Fay light and dark court stories. She has interesting, different, and likable heroes and a very special heroine. As the series went on, it became more and more erotic, which isn’t my thing, but fit the storyline. The stories had lots of unpredictable twists, and I was sad when the series ended. I’m afraid to try more of Amy’s series lest I lose another three days of my life! But I will. 🙂
This is a series I will reread in the future.
I like this one. It has twist and turns that are somewhat expected especially when dealing with the Unseelie court. There is excitement from the beginning. Danger also and a little bit of love or lust in the background. It’s hard to put the story down so make time for it. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Meet Seren, she is a member of an elite law group known as “Extinguishers.” Saren and her dad lost her mother to an attack of Fairy critters in what appears to have been random. Seren and her dad go looking for revenge by accepting every bounty that they can get their hands on. So much so that the “counsel” relocates them to Hawaii where action is almost nil.
Seren has much to learn and the biggest lesson is that she is half fairy, but wait – there’s more. Secrets are revealed and threats abound.
Be warned, sex is mentioned and insinuated via introductory to foreplay. Violence isn’t as much as today’s video games, but it is there. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the adventurous tales and meeting the fairy folk.
This was a fantastic book. I just wish I could get the rest of the series as an e-book
I liked the characters and the world, it was fairly engaging and worth the read.
luv it
My biggest problem with this book is that I have no aspirations to live in a castle and be a princess. Although neither did the main character, she did get the part for it and I get the feeling the reader is supposed to be
Living vicariously through the extinguisher turned castle living princess. It’s well written I think but the annoying castle Dream has been in one too many books I’ve read lately. (Sorry)
If the reader wants to be a princess, this is the book!
Great to read
Good for an undemanding read though the characters weren’t particularly deep or believable.
Unique story with fae. Characters are good but could be more, world building is well done, suspense, action, unique surprises and romance. Some areas have a little much on descriptions but still a good read. I hope the next book is better.
LOVED it so much!!! read it multiple times.
An awesome start to a phenomenal series
Not just magical, but powerful, sinister, passionate & enthralling
You really need to read this fantastic series.
Fun book to read
I can’t wait to read the next book in this saga!
Good book with good characterx , fun and fast paced. Story evolves well.
he Twilight Court series is absolutely outstanding. I am really impressed how Amy is able to incorporate so many disparate creatures and myths into a series that seems real and reasonable. The characters are complex and interesting, the dialog is great, the plot keeps moving and the story is exceptional. Her descriptions really paint a picture without taking you out of the story itself. Start with book 1 and keep going!
Great read.
Couldnt put it down!
