I met him at the end of my sword. Not the most romantic of introductions but it suited us. We’re both warriors; he’s a lord of the Wild Hunt of Fairy, and I’m an extinguisher—a psychic soldier trained from birth to protect our world from his kind. Attraction arced between us like lightning. I saw it in his eyes; watched them shift from frigid silver to molten metal. Despite all of that, I knew it … Despite all of that, I knew it could go nowhere. Fairies killed my mother and her death nearly destroyed my father. Then there’s the fact that extinguishers don’t date outside our society. A human would be bad enough, but a fairy? That’s not just frowned upon, it’s forbidden. We cannot be together. It’s impossible. And that’s fine. I’ve got bigger things to worry about. Like my new charge; a dryad who just informed us of a fairy plot to exterminate the human race. I’ll focus on her and ignore the wild thrumming of my blood every time I look at him. I’m a professional; I can handle one arrogant, annoying, stubborn, dangerously sexy fairy hunter who won’t stop staring at me as if I’m already his. I’m not one of his delicate, Fey ladies, longing to swoon into his arms. I carry an iron sword and iron is poison to Fairies. If he gets too close, he’ll be the one swooning.

I enjoyed this book so much that I continued with the Twilight Court series. I eventually stopped at book 3 because I began to not really like the main character and the story followed the same pattern in each book. The first one was the best but I would not recommend the series.
Good fantasy read.
I enjoyed this book so much that I am looking forward to reading this author’s other books.
Great story, nice twist on the fairy trope, and the romance aspect didn’t dominate the plot. I only had two issues with the book, and they really should have been caught by a decent editor:
1) there were a few minor grammatical errors that pulled me out of the story.
2) the word “laid’ was used way, way too much, (not in a sexual way) sometimes 2 or 3 times within a couple pages.
Other than that, it was a great story and I do recommend it. I’ve read the following two books and they are good reads as well.
I enjoyed this book, and am looking forward to reading the next in the series! Interesting characters and an interesting world. Half human fairy Princess kicks butt and brings American updates to her fairy kingdom. Great for someone looking for a YA PG version of L. Hamilton’s Meredith Gentry series.
Definitely for teen age but still entertaining. Just more about what the characters were wearing and how they looked hot than I care for.
I liked this fantasy story. Good characters and fun story!
If I read it, it was excellent !!!!! I READ IT. JAK, jr.
Engaging characters, fun read. Somewhat bummed that this is apparently the only one in the series available on Nook – but hopeful that the author will have a change of heart and take pity on us Nook readers.
Fun book to read. Very entertaining
Good book to curl up with on a snowy day.
I loved the book. A human fairy extinguisher turns into a fairy princess, meets her true love, and her evil uncle who tries to kill and then imprison her. Lots of action, great characters, and happy ending. Mostly? I totally recommend this book.
Ever watch a movie trailer and get excited, only to watch the movie and realize the best of it was the trailer? That’s this book for me. The blurb sounds soooo good, but the reality was not so good. The writing is amateurish and repetitive and the characters lack development. The world-building isn’t bad, but it just felt like it was thrown at the reader instead of flowing naturally throughout the story. Considering the book’s length, there was plenty of time for development of what could’ve been a great story. Sadly, the blurb is the best of it and the book left me disappointed.
I quite like the connection between a mythical realm and the human realm with the main character being a mix of both.
She’s likeable, tough, powerful, clear on her equal footing with males, (both human and fairy), and able to verbally stand up for herself.
It’s easy to see that there will be a sequence of books starring the same main character and possibly some others of those introduced.
It’s a well written book with few grammatical errors. The plot could have more sub-plots with more tension and more intricate resolution of problems instead of easy use of convenient magic. Some time could be spent on Seren coming to terms with what ‘power’ means in its many forms.
A decent story line about the Fey destroyed by way too much sex dialogue, approaching pornography at times. I went through four books in the series, skipping the graphic sex descriptions until I couldn’t take any more. Better off going to pornhub.com if that’s what you want. Fortunately for me, I didn’t have to pay for any of them, just part of my “read for free” options.
A detailed description of the fairy realm as well as the conflicts that exist within and without.
i think i finished it. i think it was acceptable. i don’t remember it, so it must not have been exceptional.
Snappy dialogue, fight scenes, breathtaking scenarios, and then sex! What’s not to like!
*SPOILERS* Main character is not very likable. She is insufferably rude and downright obnoxious, especially after she becomes a princess. She is also the typical Mary Sue character. Traumatic backstory? Check. Super duper powers suddenly appear? Check. All the boys love her? Check. No experience running a kingdom yet pretty much takes over after 2 days? Check. Goddess that has been MIA for centuries talks to/thru her and pretty much no one else (unless they are sent to help/save her)? Check. Since they were free on KU I actually was so morbidly curious that I read several books in the series, needless to say they only got worse. Or shall I say she got worse? Could not understand all the raving reviews this one got on Amazon.
I liked it so much, I bought the rest of the series. Not for YA, too graphic in spots(but not a lot). I’m very much enjoying these books.
