Silence is golden. Honesty … not so much. Gwen Palmer’s saucy mouth gets in the way of her heart’s desire. All thanks to her fairy godmother’s mixup. Ethan isn’t immune to Gwen’s loose lips. Nor her quirkiness. Even after their first awkward encounter.Looking up, his brown eyes locked with hers. A half smile caused a dimple to appear on his cheek—it also caused a flutter deep in Gwen’s belly. In … also caused a flutter deep in Gwen’s belly. In a friendly voice, he said, “Good morning.”
“Good morning,” Gwen replied, tucking her hair behind her ear. “Would you like to lick my cupcake?”
Oh God. She did not just say that out loud. Did she?
“I mean, would you like to bite my muffin?” Her mouth fell open before she quickly clamped it shut. Oh no. Her filter. Where was her damn filter?
“Oh my!” Mrs. Haverty exclaimed.
“Uh.” The guy just stood there. His eyes shifted from Stephanie to Gwen to Mrs. Haverty and back to Gwen.
A regular customer leaned around the man and raised his hand. “I would.”
“Not a chance, Stan,” Gwen said, scowling. Stan needed to worry about his own muffin top. Now why could she keep that comment in?
A couple of giggles arose in the now growing crowd of customers. Morning rush. Great, an audience for her stupidity. All she needed for this sideshow was Jerry Springer.
Think before you speak. “What I meant to say is…” She took a deep breath, focusing on the correct words. “Would you like to nibble my…”

Fairy Misguided (Tipsy Fairy Godmother Chronicles Book 1) by Elena Gray is a wonderful story to read. This is book number one in this start to a brand new series that I have loved reading and can not wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this story to all.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Gwen Palmer’s having a rough day. Her mouth gets her in trouble a lot, you know, because that filter is missing from her brain that should stop her from saying the first thing that pops in it. This time it’s not a date, or a friend though. It’s a perfect stranger that happens to come into her bakery, The Flaky Tart, to pick up some cupcakes for his parents’ anniversary.
“Would you like to lick my cupcake?” quickly followed, “I mean, would you like to bite my muffin?” This was said to the stranger who happened to be in her bakery when it was chock full of customers. Friends and neighbors alike heard her comments!
Ethan Reynolds isn’t just any stranger though, he’s a successful television chef who thinks he’s being pranked by his sister. I mean, who just blurts out things like that to a stranger?? He’s mentally cursing his sister and her order to pick up these cupcakes from a bakery when he could’ve made them himself, he is a famous chef after all.
The heat flies between Ethan and Gwen. Gwen’s ability to blurt out the wrong thing at the right time had me bursting out in laughter several times while reading. I read this in one sitting because it was so good!
I loved the writing, the story, and the characters, I can’t wait to read more of this series. It’s a wonderful take on the Fairy Godmother that we all love from Cinderella.
Gwen is a total hoot! I laughed so much reading this book that my family thought I had lost my marbles! A completely charming book!
OMG this is just great! A fun read that had me laughing out loud in places! A well written storyline, lighthearted and fun with a touch of magic and romance and some great quirky characters! If you need a quick, hilarious and happy read then you should definitely read this!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m glad it won’t be the last. This is a short story/novella with a little bit of a magic twist. Gwen runs a bake shop that is visited by Ethan, the host of a cooking show. Hilarity and romance soon ensue. Gwen is a very interesting, fun character, and Ethan was a nice foil for her; he thought her tendency to say inappropriate things was funny…after he realized that was what she was doing. I loved how quirky and fun this book was, and while I wished it had a little bit more magic/paranormal to it, it was still a fun, romantic story. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
This is the kind of story you will read over and over!!! guaranteed!
I heart this story so much!!! Its my go to, when i want a short funny romantic comedy!!! Its so easy to fall in love! You will be hooked from the beginning!!! Its by far my favorite story from this author!! Laugh out loud moments that people will stare!
You are going to love Gwen and what comes out of her mouth! I was laughing out loud throughout the book. A fun quirky read with romance thrown in and some very interesting characters makes this a definite page turner and a must read if you love romantic comedies.

I received a review copy of this book and I am voluntarily giving an honest review
This was an absolutely fun read. Loved the story. Characters were charming and funny. Many times I laughed so hard reading this story. Funny how an unfiltered mouth can bring you all that you wish for.
A pretty quick and absolutely hilarious story!! It had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. The characters were wonderful and the storyline was great. I was hooked from the very beginning and was a little sad that it had to end.
This is such a fun and cute book. What happens when your mouth just sometimes gets in your way and has no filter? Well you just might meet the man of your dreams. If you want a quick fun, happy read this is the
“I’m cursed to be single and alone. I might as well start adopting cats and wearing housecoats.” – Gwen Palmer
Gwen Palmer is a successful baker; she has a magic touch with pastries, but not so much when it comes to her love life. She can’t seem to keep her thoughts to herself… Especially when face to face with the extremely handsome and sexy Ethan Reynolds!
Ethan Reynolds, a famous on-air chef, stops in at “The Flaky Tart” to pick up cupcakes… Not HIS idea, but his sister insists he NOT make the cupcakes for his parent’s anniversary. When the hot blonde behind the counter invites him to “lick her cupcake”, all bets are off. Ethan is still feeling burned by his former lover, Rachel. But he can’t seem to get Gwen out of his mind…
“Commotion, huh? What was it this time? Did she ask you to squeeze her buns?” – Maddie
But somehow, despite having a strong resolve, Ethan can’t get Gwen out of his mind. His imagination runs wild; those eyes, that sunshine hair, her luscious lips…. And her quirky habit of blurting out whatever thought was in her head…
“I want to sample some more of your recipes. You teased me with the lemon cream and raspberry cupcakes.” His voice was a delicious deep timbre, that stirred butterflies in her stomach. “I need more.” – Ethan
Oh wow!!! Loved it!!! Fun, quirky, and quickly moving from innocent to sultry in a snap, with a kiss of magic and a whirlwind of forever love swirling throughout.
Laughed my socks off, Brilliant book that seems to have been written about me – well almost. Every one says i have no filter but Gwen certainly doesnt expecially when it comes trying to speak around Ethan, she gets ultra flustered and comes out with some seriosuly funny quotes. Honestly this book is brilliant for a warm hearted love storey that will have you in stitches and wondering where you can get some one to lick your cupcake or butter your crumpets!!!
Awesome gem you do not want to miss!
WARNING – seriously funny, many laugh-out-loud moments within these pages!
I absolutely LOVED this book and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next in the series! Fairy Misguided was such a fun, charming story. The characters were endearing and the storyline was lighthearted, heartwarming and oh so funny! Gwen was quirky and adorable and I laughed my rear off at her outbursts. My hubby actually asked me to get up and go somewhere else to read if I was going to laugh at everything I read – hahaha!
There was really nothing about this book that I did not enjoy. The prologue intrigued me and pulled me in with the background behind the gift; I was interested to see how this would fit into the story. When I started reading the first chapter – the conversation between Gwen and Mrs. Haverty – I was curious at the direction the story would go. By the time I got to Gwen’s introduction with Ethan and reading her blunders, I knew this was going to be great. I settled in my comfy chair and got down to business.
This book is not long, I read it in one sitting (took me about an hour and a half) but the shorter length did not take away from the overall story. It was well-written, even-paced, and I was engaged from the first page. All the characters were delightful and added something to the story and it was exciting to see how Gwen and Ethan’s relationship unfolded. From their rocky start to their happy ending it was an enjoyable experience. And the setup for the next book in the series was great. I am really looking forward to seeing what humorous adventures are next in this series. It is too bad The Flaky Tart is not a real place; it seems like an awesome place to visit.
