But the innocent girl does far more than help me get the business in line.
She wakes me up at night, has me pacing the floor, and drowns me in the desire to focus on so much more than work.
I’ve not loved or lusted in a long time, but there’s something about her.
Whether I want her to or not, she’s causing my blood to burn.
I’ll never give her back.

Andrew is a very private and closed off person. He is now in charge of their antiqities business after losing his father and is all business all of the time. Unfortunately there is something wrong with his accounting department and they are hurting for money. When he finds an old friend of his dads Rick in his office during the middle of the night rummaging through crates of antiques, he loses his mind. He doesn’t even ask why he is there, he just threatens to call the police. When Rick offers his daughter to Andrew to help with his accounting, what will Andrew decide to do? Sophie is Rick’s daughter and has an accounting degree but enjoys working in the coffee shop and doing their books instead of working in Corporate America. When her father tells her he needs her help, she has no idea why and he won’t tell her. Can Sophie be the one to help Andrew become a better person and realize there is more to the world than business. What will happen when Sophie finds out what really happened between Andrew and her father? This is another well written read by Weston Parker. I liked the push and pull of their relationship and how someone could finally realize how life is meant to be lived.
A fantastic modern day Beauty and the Beast vibe to the story. Andrew is a hard hearted man who closed his heart off to the world following his mother’s death and his father’s indifference. Sophie is a kind hearted financial advisor who chooses to work at a coffee shop instead of an office. Sophie and Andrew strike up an unlikely friendship in the midst of forced labor to protect her father from jail. Fair Trade For Love was a great character building story about one man’s struggle to move on from the past he thought he knew and open his heart to love. Weston Parker has created an emotional, heartwarming story filled with twists, heartache, healing, forgiveness, doubts, laughter, passion, and love. Readers will fall in love with Andrew and Sophie. Readers won’t want to put this new book down.

Oh boy , is this one book by the wonderful best selling author, Weston Parker, that you’re going to remember for a long time! Our hero is Andrew who has grown up being prepped to take over the family antique business once his father dies. He is very driven and focussed on the business until one night when he and his butler [he’s such a wonderful person] discover one of his Dad’s old friend’s, Rick, having broken into the house and the office where all the valuable antiques are being processed. In his fury, Andrew blackmail’s Rick into sending his daughter, Sophie who is a trained accountant, into dealing with the firm’s books and finding out where there is an issue. In exchange, Andrew won’t send for the police to arrest Rick and put him in jail. Now at this stage in the story I didn’t particularly like Andrew, in fact, it took a while for me to like him at all! But once Sophie comes [her Dad doesn’t disclose to her why she is there, why she has to stay there, nor for how long]. But Sophie and Andrew have so much in common and one thing leads to another- especially when he takes her on an unexpected trip to Africa to visit a site. But revealing a part of himself makes him feel vulnerable and that is something Andrew just will not tolerate. Do these two lonely characters stand a chance at HEA together? Will Rick explain to Sophie how this all came about? Can Andrew overcome his fears? This is a very well written story which is compelling to read. Such interesting characters that I genuinely liked [even Andrew] as they were believable. The passion between Andrew and Sophie is palpable and you may need to turn on your fans/ac as it is HOT. I look forward to Weston’s next book with anticipation. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended
A story that has it all. Very well written. Nice storyline and plot. Writing style very captivating and describing as if it was reality. Characters well defined and they develop nicely through the story. I like it is written in dual POV because that gives the reader more of the thoughts and feelings of the characters.
A story about how she makes him feel alive again. How he comes to crave her not just in his bed but in his life. It was not meant to be that in the beginning but fate has its own way of making things right.
Absolutely a story that I will recommend to others.
Fair Trade For Love was a good story by Weston Parker, this was a story with some drama, secrets and definitely some passion. The characters are exciting and have some really great chemistry. Andrew can’t believe he caught his fathers friend breaking into his home, Andrew tell him he will not call the police but he will have his daughter work for him. Sophie loves her job working in coffee house, until her father says he is in trouble. This is where the real fun and excitement begins. Will Andrew and Sophie find happiness and love? I really liked Fair Trade For Love by Weston Parker. Fair Trade For Love is a modern spin on Beauty and the Beast. Andrew Hopper runs the family business, Hopper Antiquities, after his father dies. Andrew is ruthless, unforgiving, unreasonable and a recluse. One night, Andrew discovers Rick, and old family friend, stealing from him. Not wanting to be arrested, Rick offers up his accountant daughter, Sophie, to help fix his company’s books and finances. Andrew makes one stipulation that Sophie must live with him at his mansion. Sophie is a whiz with numbers who loves working as a barista in a coffee house. Andrew is cold and cruel towards Sophie but is attracted to her. Andrew and Sophie but heads but give into their attraction. Can Sophie help Andrew open up and learn there is more to life than business? What will Sophie do when she learns the whole truth? Can Andrew and Sophie learn to trust each other and find their happily ever after? Fair Trade For Love by Weston Parker is a great story with well developed characters and a story line that will keep the reader hooked from beginning to end. Definitely recommend getting Fair Trade For Love. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.

This was a great story as Andrew starts out but when he meets Sophie his world changes. She’s like a light that brightens his world. We get to read how they change as they become closer and then become romantic. This is a wonderful story that is a great book that everyone needs to read! Excellent romance between a wealthy antiquities dealer and an indentured accountant. Mr. Parker did a great job developing both the characters and storyline. The blurb gives a good idea what the story is about. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
I received an arc, and am voluntarily leaving this review. Well, Weston has done it again. He wrote a fantastic book that I couldn’t stop reading. These two characters were well developed and the chemistry between the two was smoldering hot. All though they fight the attraction between them, they have give into their feelings for each other. This book had my emotions all over the place. I highly recommend this one, you won’t regret reading it.
The love of a good woman can break down any man’s walls. Andrew is an uptight antiques dealer who catches Sophie’s dad breaking into his house. Rick ends up offering his daughter Sophie to work on Andrew’s books and straighten out his financial issues. Andrew is struck by lightning when he sees Sophie. For him, I think it’s love at first sight, but he doesn’t realize that. He is so rude to her in the beginning but then starts to soften his attitude when he realizes she is truly sincere.
Andrew wants to give Sophie everything, especially a dig in Africa. And what happens in Africa does not stay in Africa. Really good book. They are both so smitten with each other. It is so romantic. A great love story.
Wow! The story is so great! It reminds me of Beauty and the Beast with the daughter being “traded” for her father’s freedom. What beings as strictly a professional arrangement soon takes a lusty, romantic turn. The both have guilt, regrets and pasts they need to wade through in order to realize what they need the most is each other. I loved it!
This book was absolutely one of the best books by far. It took us into a world of rich and powerful people who didn’t realize what life was like outside the box until the right person came along. It was so heartfelt, caring, funny, sad and personal that you can’t help but fall for the people. Yhey gave it the magic touch. So well done and I’ll definitely tell all my friends about it. I give it 5 + stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy
Emotional growth and difficult journeys in this romance read
Sophie, a barista and part-time bookkeeper, gets volunteered to work for Andrew, owner of an antiquities company, when her father is caught breaking in to Andrew’s house. As the story progresses tensions rise, feelings change, and the truth could end it all. Weston Parker’s Fair Trade for Love provides an interesting take on Beauty and the Beast in modern times, bringing emotional growth and difficult journeys to his readers in this romance read.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
Andrew took over the family antiquities business when his father died and does nothing but work. He’s trying to get the company back on track. One night, he hears a noise downstairs and finds an old friend of his fathers, Rick, in his study going through boxes. He accuses Rick is stealing in a fit of anger and threatens to call the police. Rick, knowing that Andrew is having trouble with his finances, offers his daughter’s services to help clean up his book. Andrew accepts and demands that she stay at his home until her work is complete. Sophie moves in with Andrew to help out her father, however, she does not know what he’s done that she has to repay. She is surprised at how cold Andrew is, but bonds with other members of the staff. Andrew feels himself drawn to Sophie and lightens up. They go on a excavation trip together and end up in bed. When they return, she learns what happened with her dad and leaves Andrew. Can Andrew right his wrongs and win Sophie back? Will she be able to forgive him? I loved this book! I was totally hooked with the characters! They had issues but a desire to be better despite the circumstances of what members of their family did to them. I read this book in one sitting! A great way to spend the afternoon. A highly recommended read. Check it out! I absolutely could not get enough of this book. The attention to detail with the characters and the story was well written. Andrew and Sophie set the pages on fire with their chemistry. I enjoyed their time getting to know each other and how sweet Andrew could be around Sophie. I voluntarily received this book to review for my honest opinion.
This was an okay read, but I don’t feel like it measured up to previous books by Weston Parker. The storyline was interesting, however I had a hard time connecting to the main characters. They weren’t as developed and fleshed out as I’m used to when reading this author’s work.
Andrew had some serious anger inside him, but it was never quite explained why. I could understand his anger towards his father after it was explained he wasn’t there when his mother passed away, but still why was he so closed off towards all the people that surrounded him. Sophie was just okay, a little bit naive but okay. The epilogue, which felt a bit dragged, kind of decreased my liking of her character.
Overall 3.5 stars from me for this read.

This was a great read. Andrew and Sophie are true opposites, they were well developed and the chemistry between the two was sizzling hot. The story was well written with an entertaining storyline. The book had plenty of emotions and steam. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
