Fae princess, Mira, has known for years she’d find her mate and take the throne. Yet at nearly a hundred years old, she suspects someone has tampered with her magic. When the Norns arrive at the Summer Court, her suspicions are confirmed. Mira knows if she’s ever to regain control of her magic, she needs her mate to break the curse. Yet the two rival ruling queens have different plans.Captured … plans.
Captured and tortured for his people’s crimes against the fae royals, Cadoc wants nothing to do with the faerie who shot him. Mira might be beautiful with a sassy mouth and magic in spades, but the price of having her is too high. War and death. Yet his wolf is determined to claim her his mate. When he learns she’s as much a victim as he is and his people betrayed him, Cadoc is determined to help her take back the throne and save both their kingdoms.

Faerie’s Magic is the first book in the Season’s of the Fae by Jessica Feyden. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Feyden, so I really wasn’t sure what to expect from one of her books. But the beautiful cover captured my attention, and the intriguing blurb sealed the deal. A one-click later and I was diving in, ready to set off on this wonderful adventure.
Mira, the princess of the Summer Court, has no idea that her ‘normal’ day of hunting in the forest would end up in a battle between the Fae and the Norn (shifter/witches) where she gets up close and personal with one of the enemy, and her hunting skills come to the fore. She also discovers her powers have been bound. But also, unknowingly, finds her fated mate. There is so much more to this story, but I really don’t want to spoil it for you by giving away too much.
So, if you love fantasy, paranormal romance, magic, shifters, witches, adventure, action, danger, hidden agendas, fated mates, drama, angst, and superb world building- then you really won’t want to miss this book/series.
Ready for Book #2.
Thank you, Jessica Feyden!
This story follows Mira, a princess whose magic has gone amiss, and Cadoc, who realizes he needs her. Mira’s mother has her locked away, with plans of killing her, all the while she is allowing the Norns into the kingdom. This spells disaster. Cadoc is trying to rescue Mira and is captured and beaten by her father. This story holds a lot of betrayal for both kingdoms and Cadoc and Mira soon find out who they can and cannot trust. The characters and scenery were both very well written.
This book was exciting in a lot of ways from the action-packed scenarios between the faes to the witches (the Norns) and the witch-shifter. It also spins you down the realm of love and what happens once they join forces to become more than anyone can reckon with. Full of action, seduction in sex, magic and all that we could ever desire from a fantasy read. This one was unexpectedly beautiful and twisted but full of twists and turns as well.
What an amazing story! I love it! It took me the first few chapters to find myself in this for me completely unexpected new world . But when I found my place .. man, did I find it! In this amazing story you’ll have everything you need. From instantaneous love over gruel war (sometimes very gruesome), loyalty, respect, betrayal, jealousy and carnal lovemaking to tender affection. So yeah, five stars for this great story about fearies, wolfshifters, witches and a lot of magic. Now that Mira and Cadoc have most of the Elders on their side I am waiting for Alana to start her life with her mates. And hopefully Rauls wolf is as stubborn as Cadocs

This was a really good fae story and I enjoyed reading it! The characters are well developed (my pet peeve!) and interesting. The story world was interesting and believable. The writing flowed smoothly along and kept me engrossed in the story. I definitely recommend it!

Faerie’s Magic by Jessica Feyden
This is my first time reading anything by this author, and I really liked the story in spite of the errors. It almost made me ignore the fact that there were any errors at all, but there were too many times where I had to stop reading to figure out what the author meant to say to be able to ignore it completely. It was even more disappointing to have it happen in such a fine story. I am hoping that it was because I had an ARC version of the book, so I am still looking forward to reading more of this series.
This is the second book in the Seasons of the Fae series. It can be read as a stand-alone, which is what I did, but I’m sure it would be better if the series was read in order. It is a paranormal romance with a HEA and no cliffhanger at the end though there is a teaser for the next book in the series in the epilogue. There are explicit sex scenes and a lot of swearing, including over eighty f-words. At 201 pages, it should have been a nice afternoon read but ended up taking me 50% longer than my normal reading speed to finish it. There were around 70 errors that I found which ranged from misspellings to pronoun confusion to continuity errors.
The story is about a fae princess and a wolf shifter discovering that they are mates and how they must work together to save their kingdoms. This is a really good story that flows nicely when there are no errors and even manages to flow pretty well even when there are. The main characters are nicely developed as well as most of the secondary characters. Scene descriptions are adequate though I would have preferred a better description of the surrounding area at the Norn compound. The plot has a lot of nice twists and turns as Cadoc and Mira find out who they can and can’t trust. You can expect a hot alpha male, treachery – both old and new, loyal friends, fast-paced battles, a couple of power-hungry queens, fated mates, and a fair bit of steam.
I loved this story and on that basis I give it an A. The errors were frustrating as they acted like little speed bumps on my progress through the story, for which I give it a D-. But the story still held together and I really enjoyed it, so overall it gets a B (4 stars).

Jessica Feyden has written a 5-star book. This book is the story of Mira and Cadoc. Mira is a Fae Princess and Cadoc is a wolf shifter. Mira is watching Norns come into the Otherworld and wonders how they have gotten in. She sees a wolf and she shoots it with her bow. When she gets home something happens to her and her mother locks her up in her room, has her powers bound to where she can’t use them. Her Mother the Queen is wanting her dead and has asked Cadoc’s mother for help. The Norns are invited to a party given by Mira’s mother The Queen and they are to find Mira and kill her. Cadoc has found out that Mira is his mate and he goes to the otherworld to try and find her but he is caught by Mira’s father. Mira’s father beats him because he wants to find out who has taken Mira’s powers away from her. Mira hears Cadoc’s howls and realizes that he is her mate and has Cashiel her friend and one of the season kings go and save him. Things do not go easy for Mira and Cadoc when they get to his home. There are things that are against them from both sides.
Now that the two of them are together can they stop the war that is coming?
Can the two of them work things out between them?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

A wonderful book full of fantasy, magic, love, war, and everything you could want in a book. There is ever a dull moment. I love the storyline and the characters are solid.
Some will go to any lengths for power
A mother wants her daughter dead; an enemy decides the daughter is his mate. The kicker is that they are both from different worlds. Can they get help in their realms? Can they survive the war that is coming to both of their kingdoms? Will a queen kill her daughter to stay on the throne?
I do not want to give away the dynamics of the plot. My ARC copy held my attention from start to finish.

Faerie’s Magic (Seasons of the Fae book 2)
By Jessica Feyden
5 out of 5 stars
I loved reading the book Faerie’s Magic (Seasons of the Fae book 2) by Jessica Feyden. It is a story that includes action, danger, magic, and romance. It tells the tale of Princess Mira who begins to suspect that her magic has been tampered with. It also includes Cadoc, whose wolf tells him that Mira is his mate. With so much conflict will Mira and Cadoc be able to save their two kingdoms and join as mates? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has conflict and betrayal between two kingdoms. Trust is rare and not given by many. I found Mira to be intelligent and strong. Cadoc knows that Mira is his mate and will do anything to keep her safe. I grew to care about Mira and Cadoc with each chapter that I read. Other additional characters are introduced. Some of them are loyal to Mira and Cadoc. Others have plans and an agenda that is evil and selfish. Will they succeed? I enjoyed reading about the worlds of the Fae and shifters. It is interesting to read about how each has its ceremonies and traditions. Don’t miss out on a story that is exciting, entertaining, and fast-paced. I recommend reading it.
I enjoyed this fantasy story. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her. This is an engaging, fast paced story about Mira and Cadoc. Their relationship has had many struggles they must overcome. The question remains, will they be able to overcome the struggles life is throwing at them? I enjoyed their characters. They are well developed and made the story easy to read. They brought their world to life and their struggles felt real. This made a great afternoon read. I highly recommend this book
This just didn’t click for me. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing I can put my finger on as to why it just didn’t flip my switch. Maybe it’ll work fir you though. I’d still recommend it to people who love Fae stories, it’s a classic story line.
