Revenge. An ex-Army Ranger. And a desperate female succubus fae. What could go wrong?I’ll do just about anything to earn my way back into my clan’s good graces. If that means crossing a few lines here and there… So long as I don’t get caught, what could go wrong?Turns out, a whole hell of a lot.See, I’m a succubus, one of the fae races who attend Hawthorn Academy. When I targeted CJ—a human … Academy. When I targeted CJ—a human male at the Gossamer Nightclub—it was supposed to be just a quick hit. Work him up, get him to an emotional high, then suck him dry and bring his energy home to feed my clan mates.
It’s not my fault he attacked me. It’s not my fault he’s now tied up in the Academy’s cellar. Okay, that might be a little bit my fault.
But you know what I won’t apologize for? Finding my mate in the most unlikely of places.
Even if I have to sacrifice myself, it’ll be worth it. I know CJ would do the same for me. That is, if the other fae don’t kill him first.
NOTE: Captive is the second in a M/F fae paranormal academy series – each book can be read as a standalone. Captive is NOT reverse harem. Expect plenty of action, lots of steam, and an HEA.

Fae Academy: Captive by A.S. Green is an awesome story to read. This is book number two in this awesome series that I have loved reading from the very begining. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about paranormal romances.

I don’t want to write the blurb of this story or a recap but i will say this… It’s worth the read. Well written, great storyline with wonderful characters. Ms Green did delivered a story with action, steam, suspense and HEA. This series is getting better and better in my opinion. I liked the previous book of this series: Captive, but this one is my favorite so far. Can’t wait to continue with this series.

Danger, action, intrigue, gut-wrenching choices, sacrifice, political drama and YES – sizzling delicious sex & love are all in A.S. Green’s 2nd Fae Academy Story: Captive. We read about C.J. and Eilish…a human alpha military male and a beautiful brave succubus. Captive starts off right after Primal. (A.S Green’s 1st Fae Academy Story. I highly recommend reading it, if you have not.) C.J. and Eilish both have tortured pasts that cause them to connect to each other & balance the other one. Even though this is a paranormal story, as the reader you can definitely relate to C.J. and Eilish. A.S. Green’s world-building skills in her stories are detailed, layered and interesting. Captive has everything for everyone to enjoy, you will not be disappointed!! I look forward to A.S. Green’s next story. *I received an ARC for my honest review.
‘Captive’ is book two in A.S. Green’s Fae Academy series, this book follows Eilish, a student at the Academy. This is a stand-alone with a HEA but i recommend having read book one Captive before hand to get the full gist of the characters and storyline. If you are also feeling extra dedicated you should also read ‘Fae Hell Hound’s Fated Mates’ series as well, where you can get more insight to the MacConall brothers.
Eilish is a succubus looking for her next feed for her fellow clan members. But the man she had been working on all night was also working her for his own revenge. After being captured by this mysterious man, Eilish is rescued by Dean O’Keefe, and Fellow students Hayes and Tara. They decide to take the guy back to the Academy where they can wipe his memory. But when Eilish goes to check on the man to see how he is going after being tilted and so she can wipe his memory, she feeds from him and a bond is formed between. Now she is unable to wipe his memory as something between them is formed, she wants to know him and what he knows about the Fae.
CJ, is a honourably discharged Army Ranger. CJ believes that Eilish killed his friend. He works in the music industry after being convinced by his best friend. He is being held captive by the woman/thing that killed his friend, he must escape before he ends up like Michael but there is something keeping him there. An agreement is made that he will be able to keep his memories as long as he stays Eilish captive, but he is given a song for her being able to harvest from him. Except the song CJ hears is Eilish’s mating song.
I was hesitant about reading this book as I really enjoyed reading Primal and the characters that I didn’t want to read someone else’s story, but I’m so glad that I did. This book moved quickly and was never a dull moment. I read this book in one sitting, I just devoured it and couldn’t get enough. I loved how the war storyline continued into this book with the “Mistress” trying to take over, this was one of the things I was disappointed with when I knew that book two would be different characters as I thought we were being left in the loop of what was going to happen next. But it was written flawlessly. Having the previous characters making appearances as well was fantastic.
I will be looking forward to reading “Fated” to see Kane and Devan’s Story when it’s released.
Our heroine is looking for a quick mark to earn her way back into the clan, but that does not work out. Not only does he recognize the threat, but he turns out to be important to her future. Things just got a lot more complicated.
This is book two of the series, but it is written as a standalone. No prior reading is required to enjoy this book.
This is a paranormal romance and, as the author states clearly, not a reverse harem. I would say just a normal MF pairing, but their is nothing normal here. The story is very well written and easy to read, and yet the plot has more twists than a pretzel. The characters and setting are both well developed with plenty of unique and interesting details which make it a truly fascinating read. I really enjoyed both our hero and heroine. They had issues, including misconceptions, but both are also strong and smart, making a great pair and a force to be reckoned with once they stop fighting each other. Overall, I found this to be a fast paced and engaging read that kept me reading right up until the end. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Highly recommended.

The first impression I got of Elish was she refined and stayed more to herself then join the other stuck up girls. She let the girls run her over and she still had an obligation that she fulfilled. Even to her detriment. CJ was out for revenge for his best friend’s death and all clues point to Elish. The dean at the academy, Raine O’Keefe, saves her from CJ but takes him back to the school to find out what he knows. Elish is compassionate and caring and hates what she has to do. CJ and Elish have grown closer but it puts him in danger from her clan. In order to protect him she’s willing to give up her life. I absolutely loved that Raine’s mate, a siren that was tortured over 50 years and stays as far away as she can from from these fae, but she takes to the water during a storm to help CJ find Elish before it’s too late. It’s not over yet though. They have discovered a betrayal from within the council and a war is inevitable. I requested an advanced reader copy from Booksprout and am under no obligation to leave this review.
This is the second book in this series and like the first it has a cliff hanger but completes the story of C.J., a human, and Eilish, a succubus. They both have their internal trauma and seem to have it well hidden. He thinks she is responsible for the death of her friend and even though she is not, he refuses to believe her. The two characters are interesting and complex. I enjoyed reading this and would recommend it to others who like stories about the fae and their mates.

The story starts out a little slow, but then we get suspense and so many feelings. Eilish is a succubus Fae and now going to Hawthorn Academy. The only reason she is there is because of the head of succubus. She has lost her parents and more. CJ is ex-military and lost his best friend and he blames Eilish. What will he do to her or should we say what will she do to him. What is she hiding? What are these feelings she is having? Can they really mate? Will he forgive her? Will she be able to tell everyone the truth?

This is a well written, entertaining book that held my attention from the first page until the last. Although this is book two, it’s the first book I’ve read in this series and I plan on going back and reading book one. The characters are well developed and the story in interesting. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series.
CJ and Eilish’s story have everything you could want to keep reading. There was enough going on to keep me interested to find out what happens next. I enjoyed reading about them and how their relationship developed.

Eilish is a succubus looking for a hit of energy by finding a guy in a night club. She found CJ, a discharged Army Ranger. CJ believes that Eilish killed his friend. CJ ends up capturing Eilish. Then the tables were turned and CJ was captured by people from Hawthorn Academy and placed in an old, unused wine cellar.
Eilish ends up gaining energy from CJ, but is concerned she will become addicted to him and end up killing him. So she decides not to harvest from him. While Eilish needs energy for herself, she is actually harvesting energy for other people in her clan.
CJ works in the music industry and Eilish gives him a song. Except the song CJ hears is the song of Eilish. Eilish realizes that CJ is her mate.
The dean wanted CJ’s mind erased of anything super natural. Eilish does not want to do that as it will erase memories of his friend. However, CJ is discovered an Eilish is left with limited choices. Her plan was to very carefully take only memories of her from CJ. But she had to erase quite a bit of his memory.
Eilish is also thinking back to why her parents decided to leave the clan. After Maeve wants Eilish to feed others in different areas, Eilish said no. She realized something bad was going on.
The book did move pretty fast and I did enjoy the characters, for the most part. I would have thought there would have been more talking about the friend and what happened.

CJ and Eilish are a beautiful couple. I was so into the book and the action I could not stop reading. Eilish is Fae and CJ is human but together they are intoxicating and explosive. CJ tries to be a hard ass and comes across as a softy. Eilish is lovely and nearly starves to death fir CJ. I can’t wait to read more including the first book Primal.

In Fae Academy: Captive the author, A.S. Green, does a phenomenal job of creating tension and suspense. We also see the world of the paranormal and how it functions within and all around the human world. The characters are very well developed and relatable.
Eilish, a succubus, wants to not only fit in with her clan, but she also wants to move up in status. The manner in which she has to do so causes her to make choices that make her question what she wants. She finds her mate in a person, a human no less, that those who consider themselves above her want to destroy. She knows that people in her clan are using her and struggles with that as well. Her mate., C.J., is a man who has many inner demons and has vengeance on his mind as a Fae killed his best friend and initially he believes that is Eilish. Talking about complications! The drama and suspense are bound to come to a head as the story becomes more and more about choice and figuring out for oneself what is right and wrong. There are awesome twists and mysteries that develop throughout the storyline, and let’s not forget the steamy sex. which keeps you engaged. This is a standalone book but the next book is a must-read.

Eilish O’Day is a succubus Fae, a student at Hawthorn Academy. Her parents had left their clan when she was a child. Now that they are deceased, she is hoping to earn her way back into her clan by getting a guy excited, sucking his emotions dry, and bringing home the energy to her clan. She spotted a big attractive guy watching her at the Gossamer Nightclub and motioned him onto the dance floor. But this guy knew what she was and poured salt on her arm, making her pass out. Before she did, he told her a friend of his had known her – Michael. Before he could decide on his revenge, two males and a female popped into the room to rescue her.
When she targeted CJ Munoz, an Army Ranger, at a bar she never imagined this man could be her mate. Now CJ woke and found himself at Hawthorn Academy in an old wine cellar with Eilish, who had expected him to die when he was transported here. Most humans didn’t survive without a very strong will. CJ asked if the others were the same as Eilish. She explained that Raine O’Keefe, the dean of students, was a seelie. CJ remembered the band that Michael was meeting with. Their front man was Simon O’Keefe and the band was The C-Lees! They had disappeared right before CJ found Michael’s lifeless body. He believed that Eilish had killed his friend, despite the fact that she was startled when he mentioned that. Then she kissed him while he was tied up and helpless, and he emptied all of his emotion into her, far more than she ever expected! She was already craving him.
When Eilish finds out that her leader, Maeve, intends to power 7 widely dispersed loners through Eilish and using CJ for the source, will CJ help her fight back? Maeve had already decided Eilish could harvest once and feed all seven. And Tara had told Maeve that Eilish had her own personal source right there, ripe and ready. Maeve finally admitted that she had been the one to kill Michael because he talked too much. Now Eilish saw just how foolish she’d been. Position, security, a roof over her head, nice clothes — none of this was an adequate prize without her mate beside her. And she suddenly knew who had killed her parents too.
This is a very exciting book with a fast-paced story line and mysteries to be solved. The characters are well-described and the action keeps the reader engaged in the story. Grab your copy and find out what future Eilish and CJ have, or if they will fall victim to Maeve’s selfish ambition.
The premise may be one of the oldest, but this book gives it new life. C.J. believes Eilish killed his best friend and business partner. Eilish didn’t, and she’s not the selfish, self centered succubus most fae think her kind are. As C.J. and Eilish learn more about the other, a surprising relationship develops and grows. I thought this book was well developed, the characters were interesting, and the chemistry smoking’. Great second book to the Fae Academy Series.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
A succubs and a human as fated mates? Eilish grew up away from her clan because her parents didn’t agree with Maeve the leader. At times she was hungry and they were living in a car. Now with her parents dead, she as re-connected with her clan and is going to school at the Academy, and is supplying energy to four other succubi. But when she is kidnapped by a human named CJ and then rescued by several students, she imprisons CJ in a room under the Academy. As she comes to know him they fall in love and she realizes he is her mate. But the leader of her clan as big plans. Plans that include using Eilish to power her army and overthrowing the council. Maeve is powerful so how can one succubus and one human stop her? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
Eilish O’Day is fae, one of the succubus variety, a student at Hawthorn Academy and is trying to earn her way back into her clan after the death of her parents. When she targeted CJ Munoz at a bar she never dreamt that he would end up being her mate. But Eilish is taken prisoner by CJ because he believes she killed his friend Michael. When she is rescued by staff and students from Hawthorn, they take CJ with them in order to find out who all he may have told about the fae.
CJ wakes up in a cell, reminding him of his capture when he was in the Army. As he plots his escape he begins to wonder if Eilish was the one responsible for Michael’s death. She had seemed surprised when he told her Michael was dead. When Eilish discovers he is her mate and tells CJ, he denies it. How can he, a human, be mated to a fae?
Second book in the Fae Academy series by A.S. Green was very good. Can be read as a stand alone. There are sexual scenes throughout the book and there is HEA.

Revenge to captivity to love
Fae Academy: Captive (Book 2) by A.S. Green is a very well written book in her Fae Academy series. As more characters are introduced, in this book we get a better understanding of the Succubi through Eilish. She is not the monster most think her Fae race is and in fact she’s quite kind with a really big heart and need to share it.
CJ, first seeks Eilish out of revenge, but fate has another idea and plan altogether.
The plot of this series becomes more apparent as more of the antagonist is revealed through Eilish. The author has built an urgency with the suspense of a sort of impending doom while Eilish and CJ are torn apart out of fear.
Overall, a very well written paranormal suspense that has me anxiously awaiting the third book of this series with another fated mate match as well as the result of antagonist’s plans coming to fruition and/or the thwarting of those plans by the Fae races working together and fighting. In the meantime, Eilish and CJ get to begin their HEA.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.
