He’s the best bad decision I ever made.
It was only one night.
A business trip.
City lights and passion.
Intense.
Impossible.
He’s my boss.
Too bad I can’t forget the night we spent together in Paris.
It’s hard enough on my own, dealing with my needy sister and pretending I don’t have feelings for Toby.
My genius, alpha male boss with the piercing eyes and rock-hard abs.
We acted like it never … it never happened.
Until I told him about my crazy ex.
The one who’s coming after me.
Speaking of crazy, my hot, delectable boss has the craziest idea.
A fake marriage. To him.
He’ll pretend to be my husband and protect me from my ex.
Insane? Or insanely tempting?
After the hell I went through with my ex, a little sexual healing may be just what I need.
My ex is dangerous. My sister is falling for him, but he’s out to get me.
My life is at risk, and my boss, my lover,—he can never find out.
Because my fake husband is going to be a real daddy.
No matter what it costs me, I’ll keep our baby safe. I’ll never tell him the truth.
He’s the only man I’ll ever love.
He deserves more than a hot mess with a crazy ex and a secret baby.
I’ll never regret what we meant to each other. I’ll cherish our child.
And miss Toby, my irresistible alpha boss for the rest of my life.

The storyline was wonderfully written and the characters were so well defined that as each page was turned Maddie and Toby pulled me right into their story as it effortlessly unfolded!
This is the fourth book in the Office Secrets Series but can be read as a standalone. This is Maddie and Toby’s story and one you will enjoy if you like office romances with lots of chemistry and drama. If you read book 3, Boss’s Baby you met them there. They had one night of passion in Paris but did not carry it forward because of office policies. Then the drama begins, a dangerous, stalking ex, a troubled sister, a surprise baby and secrets. Their chemistry is over the top and emotional. After a whirlwind of twists and turns, they finally get their HEA. Likable characters and an entertaining, steamy story. I read an arc via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review.
Enjoyable Read
This was a good story to read; it was original and a smooth flowing read. The characterizations were good as well. I just had some difficulties with the main female character. I guess we are have confidence issues sometimes, especially when in a new situation. The writing was easy to follow. This was an enjoyable read, except for my irritation with the main female character at times but then, that is life; it sometimes works that way.

This Fake Marriage Romance Novel is a very well-written story with characters that have started on a lie, but come to love each other on the way if they allow it. These characters are very well-constructed with depth and history and has lots of action. This story is interesting with some great chemistry. This story is interesting and entertaining and a must read Employer and Employee Romance

Toby has dreamed Maddie since their business trip to Paris, but since he’s her boss, she decided it would be unprofessional. But that hasn’t stopped him from wanting her. When her learns her crazy, abusive ex is coming to town to talk to her, Toby jumps at the opportunity to protect her. A fake marriage! What she didn’t anticipate was the bombshell her ex would drop? Has he truly moved on or are there ulterior motives to his appearance? Either way, Toby is going to use this chance to show Maddie that they truly belong together.
I really liked the story. It started off towards the end of the third book in the series. While that book was great too, you don’t need to read it to know what’s going on in this one. Annie J. Rose does a great job going more into detail about what happened between Toby and Maddie at the end of book three in the first chapter. I routed for them all the way. There were times I wanted to shake Maddie, but I could understand her point of view and why she didn’t want to pursue a relationship with Toby. Now her sister needed to be punch in the face, but it’s not about her. The plot was well developed, the characters wonderful, and a great happily ever after. Can’t wait to read the next book.

Four and a half stars
This book is the fourth one from the Office Secrets series. And this story centres around Maddy and Toby.
It was full of mixed emotions and contained PLENTY of drama, intrigue and secrecy, which kept it interesting. There were also sweet moments between them, and their connection and passion was very steamy! I wonder if there are real office romances like this!?

Maddie loves her job in New York. Toby is her gorgeous boss. On a trip to Paris for business they finally come together. But Maddie tells Toby it is only for one night and one night only. But he certainly wants more than that. When Maddie’s young sister Megan tells her that Craig is coming to New York to ask her a very important question, Maddie freaks out. That is when Toby says that they will have a pretend marriage to keep Craig away from her. An abusive ex. A whining younger sister. A hidden romance. And so very, very hot. Loved this story and highly recommend.
Great book!! Lots of chemistry, lots of heat, lots of steam between Toby and Maddie from day one! This is a wonderful office romance with consequences, protect her from stalker-ex, fake marriage into HEA book!! It has the heart and depth to the characters that Ms. Rose is so good at writing. Well worth the time and effort to read. You will not be sorry that you did!

Toby was a co-owner of an App company and Maddie worked in marketing. During a work visit to Paris, they had a one night fling. When they returned to work, they stayed separated until Maddie’s abusive ex-boyfriend threatened her. Toby decided they should portray a fake marriage. The story was interesting and flowed well with well defined characters. Good read!

I loved reading F is for Fake Marriage by Annie J. Rose because it was steamy and intense and just a great book all around. Toby and Maddie work together as boss and employee but it becomes more than that after a work trip to Paris. Maddie is very dedicated to her job and doesn’t want to lose it because her and Toby get together. Maddie’s sister Megan is a senior in college and is not really serious about finishing her degree but she tells Maddie that her ex boyfriend Craig is coming to ask her a question. To say Craig is not very nice is putting it mildly and Maddie is fearful. Toby and Maddie come up with the plot that they are married so when Craig comes around he will leave her alone and also Toby can protect Maddie. Things after that get so complicated and extremely intense. I wasn’t sure where everything was going to end up and it literally kept me on the edge of my seat. I highly recommend reading this book. It is very steamy and intense with some mystery coiled around it. I also liked the cover. This is how I pictured Maddie and Toby to look like!!

M is for “Must Read”
Another delightful read by Ms. Rose, and this time it’s about Maddie and Toby. After their return, he found himself struggling with his attraction to her that had begun in Paris. She too was struggling; however, trouble comes in the form of her awful ex arriving with threats. These involve her sister, who she would do almost anything to protect.
A real romantic web that you’ll enjoy being drawn into.

I didn’t identify well with these characters for some reason. I thought Maddie was confusing; assertive at times, needy at times, and weak at times. Her relationship with her sister was even harder to understand – not only Maddie’s role, but what Meghan’s motivation was.
Toby was certainly investing a good deal of time and emotion into Maddie and while he got a good return between the sheets, the rest of the time he got a lot of drama that never seemed to resolve itself.
Overall, if you like a lot of steamy times, this book fits the bill very well. I didn’t think that part of their relationship helped make the overall story more interesting, however.

Fantastic story! Characters that will steal your heart. A storyline that keeps you on the edge of your seat and glued to your kindle! For me it was a love- hate deal as the characters face their demons. You will feel their emotions and struggles. A definite must read.

Toby had hired Maddie to work at his building. He had a thing for her from the time he hired her. In Paris, they had one night of passion and agreed it stopped there because of office policies. Almost a year later, Maddie’s sister called from Kansas with the news her ex was coming to see her with a question. Maggie freaked out because he had been obsessed and abusive to her! Toby suggests a fake marriage to help thwart Craig. When Craig appeared, she went with that explanation only to have him tell her he was going to marry her younger sister. Maddie and Toby went to Kansas to get her to change her mind…he appeared out of nowhere the next morning and Maddie got hurt. While in the emergency room, Maddie discovers she is pregnant…so, now she will quit her job and move back to Kansas with her sister! Will she tell Toby she is pregnant? What will he do? 3.5 Stars
The characters were good. The story line was good, if predictable. The story could have flowed a little smoother. All in all this was a quick fun read.

Toby is Maddie’s boss and they are strongly attracted to each other and give in for one night only. Back to work when she gets a call from her sister telling her that her ex is coming to New York to ask her something. Maddie is freaking out because he was always abusive to her and she does not want to see him and Toby notices that something is wrong with her so when she tells him about the ex he suggest that a fake a marriage so that the ex can not cause her any problem. Then why does this fake arrangement seem real and what will she do about the little secret she is keeping.
*Spoilers*
Where not in Kansas anymore, and for good reason. Maddie left her home town in Kansas behind for New York City, paving a career path for herself in marketing. Working at the top technology and software development firm is everything she could’ve hoped for and a bit more with her caring boss Toby around. However, one phone call from her sister, Magan, back home changes everything. “Coach Shelton will see you real soon. He’s got a big question to ask you,”
Maddie is in a panic, her ex, Craig Shelton is coming to New York. The only solution is; to be unavailable by pretending to be married to none other than her boss. Sparks fly between the two but Craig will stop at nothing, to get her back. Is Toby and Maddie’s relationship enough to keep her ex away for good?
It was an absolute delight to read this book. All my favorite romance trope rolled into one. A bit of a taboo romance between boss and employees, fake marriage, possessiveness and there was also danger and drama which have you on edge.
I was disappointed with Maddie and Toby’s relationship as a whole. It wasn’t any real relationship building it was all very “physical” sexual the whole time. I know it pretends but there was a big opportunity for them to grow in that time-frame. This book was particularly weak with the need to know information like we got a lot of background on side charters at the beginning, yes they play an important part it was just a lot for them to not be the main protagonist. Also, I get we need the drama (love it) but it was upsetting when her sister, Magan, didn’t believe her about her past relationship with Craig.
Now before you get into this story there are several things you need to know. One, talk of abusive relationships both verbal and physical. Two, there are physical altercations. There is light stalking in a couple of scenes. Also, in this book, there are many sex scenes between two unmarried characters told in great detail.
I especially appreciated at the beginning of the book there is a period of a slow burn between the characters where you get to see that they have chemistry but they’re not acting on it right away. This book was also particularly strong with characters; with very different traits and idiosyncrasy, which make them stand out. Also, I’m a sucker for books with multiple points of view. This book has that, you get to see the situation from both Toby’s and Maddie’s points of view. On top of all of that, it was very refreshing that Toby the boss was the one who had the crush on the employee. Toby unlike most CEOs in other books wasn’t an egotistical womanizer.
“ Now that I’d had a real taste of her, I was desperate for more. It was the difference between looking through a bakery window at something delicious and actually sampling the decadent pastry. One was a want, a fantasy that came from just thinking about how good it could be. The other became a gnawing craving that came from knowing just how incredible it was and needing more.” – Toby ( from F is For Fake Marriage by Annie J Rose)
F is For Fake Marriage by Annie J Rose is a delicious snack of a book that we all need to get our hands on so we can just devour it, all in one sitting. I know I’ll be having cravings until the next book.
